Coinan here is a little ghost in a big big world- as a Roaming Form Gimmighoul, he has no chest to protect his 4 inch tall being, and has to navigate the world with a mixture of parkour and luck in search of coins to allow him to evolve.

Dr. Boris Habit

Species: Eldegoss Nature: Hardy (lost in thought) Ability: Cotton Down Affiliation: Aigis (stat specialist) Voice claim: Day Lane

A former dentist turned florist from just outside of Motostoke. Habit is very much an eccentric individual, often losing himself in whatever strange ideas cross his mind, though thankfully he has the ability to force himself back into focus when he really needs to. He takes on a kind of fatherly role for the team, fittingly so as he is actually a father, though he also regards Zero as a sort of surrogate mother figure due to his parents not having been the best, to put it lightly. Some of Habit’s stranger quirks are the odd emphasis he puts on certain words so (for example) you can nearly hear when he’s using the wrong “there”, the fact that he’s allowed chlorophyll to spread across his body through a connection to an old flower friend that’s basically turning him part plant, and his tendency to always add apples whenever he’s allowed to make curry at camp.

Everyone always wonders what the deal is with that weird puppet of his, fashioned after himself when he was still a Gossifleur. It’s definitely a weird little thing, especially when it moves its arms around and blinks despite seemingly not having the mechanics to do so. And then you see it at night. Crawling around. With roots shooting out of the hand hole like weird insect legs. Thankfully it pretty much only does so to get water in order to care for the sentient lily that makes up its consciousness, and is usually more than content to stay out of trouble among Habit’s things when not actively being used.

I was bored when i tried to do my homework when I notice some of my lil' scribbles and doodles i drew during boring lessons... You can see how fast i can change fandoms in several months or weeks. XD seriously, to aosth, was into cuphead, street fighter and pokemon in the same time, and them Mortal Kombat with a lil' G/t moment... and first attend to draw Chara i guess??? also, working on the evil ego of my persona or other concept for her. I'll put description in the doodles later...

Another 'jinka team, another voice claim thing.

-Harris's VC is Travis McElroy, whose TAZ Amnesty character Aubrey Little and her rabbit friend Dr. Harris Bonkers, PhD both directly inspired her full name. -Zero's VC is Betty White. I didn't know any good Betty White quotes to use for this, so I'm just having her sing the Golden Girls theme cuz I'm pretty sure that's one of if not the iconic role Betty White's known for. -Habit, of course, couldn't have any other VC than his original counterpart's VA, Day Lane. Or maybe one of the two fan VAs who've done really good Habit work that I like. I could see them too. o: (EDIT: Ms. Lane picked her new name, so I’m updating accordingly :3 ) -Cerulean's VC is Erika Harlacher, the line referencing her role as Aiba in AI: The Somnium Files. At least twice this robot eyeball gets her partner Date to do stuff by claiming there's dirty magazines on the ground...and he falls for it every time. -Twilight's VC is Tara Strong, cuz the only way the Twilight Sparkle connection could be stronger is if I said outright that she was a cameojinka. But she's not, I'm no longer interested in MLP and only named her that cuz it was funny to me. -Oolong's VC is Christine Marie Cabanos, with the line chosen in reference to Chiaki Nanami from Danganronpa 2. ...I've got a weird relationship with Danganronpa but Chiaki's voice just vibes with Oolong to me. And Ulon too, any version of this now-multiverse character gets Chiaki voice whenever she's allowing herself to speak.

Slowly bringing back some old gijinkas!

Once upon a time, I got a commission from an esteemed gijinka artist named @bechnokid, who drew up my cameojinka of a certain determined child-turned-Deino with her Hydreigon gijinka. Welp, time has passed, and the child has grown up or just got a new set of pajamas Anyway, have a Hydreigon Frisk- the first of hopefully many drawings to come.

*hyperfixates on a certain character around the release of a new Pokemon game* *finds a way to name a member my team in that game after them* *makes a Pokejinka based on combining the Pokemon and the character in question* THREE IN A ROW. Decided to try and get down an idea for an Eldegoss Pokejinka based on Habit because, well, I named my Gossifleur after him because Petilil/Lilligant apparently aren’t in Galar so I went with an equally fitting Pokemon. ;P And Pabit’s here too, but as a Gossifleur because he would’ve made him before becoming an Eldegoss himself. (also Goss!Pabit’s alive and MOBILE cuz he has a flower inside him and Habit’s grass power did Things to make the flower conscious)

Since I’m trying to take this cameojinka Eldegoss-based version of Habit in a more natural human look, I need some suggestions on something important. I’m hesitant to make Goss!Habit green because all my Pokejinkas have a natural skin tone except for like...two I can think of off the top of my head (one is a robot and therefore covered in metal, the other is an otherworldly being with literal clear prism skin that looks black unless there’s light shining through it), but at the same time I have no idea what would be a good replacement because I know the Smile For Me fandom has a plague of whitewashers already with the characters that do have natural-or-close-enough skintones *weeps for Kamal and Parsley in particular* and I don’t want to bumble my way into being labeled as such with someone who’s normally a neutral-looking green. So if anyone has suggestions for a more natural skintone that would be close enough to Habit’s green feel free to throw ‘em at me, cuz I’m not the best at eyeballing and at the rate my main source for official Pokemon art is going it will be QUITE a while before I get to even think of finalizing any Shield ‘jinka concepts. Alternative scenario would be to just leave him green and bs a reason but I’d rather not take that route if I can help iiiiiiit because I didn’t do anything similar to my other grass tyyyyypes... (Pabit’s staying green regardless, he’s a puppet after all and he doesn’t have to have any weird justifications for breaking this convention)

It's happened for my past three major Pokemon teams. I'm really obsessed with a villain/antagonist from a completely different video game, I get the new Pokemon game, one of my team members gets named after them and inevitably becomes a cameojinka. You've seen Vikavolt Fawful, Banette Zant, and now Eldegoss Habit. And yeah, he pretty much acts exactly like his namesake. Only major difference here is that he's able to shift from dentistry to his actual passion of floristry before his addition to Team Aigis, and he's getting therapy too. Oh, and you can probably tell, but he's turning green. He's becoming part plant because I've decided that grass-types can do that in my 'jinkaverse, and he's mainly doing it to develop a stronger connection with his lily. Yep, he takes lily on the gym challenge with him. He's in this picture, even! Guess where he is! If you said "he lives in the puppet", you're RIGHT! Yeah, Lily gives Pabit sentience in my 'jinkaverse, and he gives Harris a right scare when he's shufflin' around the campsite on his little root legs looking for water in the middle of the night. XD

Kinda agonized over figuring out Goss!Habit's skintone since 1) I give all my Pokejinkas natural skintones with like two exceptions (Polaris being an android and thus having metal skin, Prismari having literally clear skin ie. a prism that appears literal black), 2) I had no real idea what direction to take it in except for "something similar to his namesake's green in terms of base value" (even though I knew he'd end up being fully green by the end of Team Aigis's story, he's already halfway there look!) and I was a bit worried keeping him green from the start would clash with Eldegoss's natural coloring, and 3) both human Pokemon character and non-crossover Smile For Me art have enough of a whitewashing problem with characters that have natural skintones as it is! Like god damn! Most art programs have an eyedropper! Use it!! And in the case of SFM colors specifically, is it SO hard to use a "sample average" function with your eyedropper or, if your eyedropper doesn't have that setting, blur the image to counteract the noise filter? For crap's sake, people even make palette guides for this sort of thing. If I see another pale Kamal or ashy Nessa I'm gonna FLIP. Okay, rant over, thankfully for this specific situation I had a friend helping me figure all this out and it's good. And if anyone in the SFM fandom seeing this has any doubts about me doing the whole "natural skintones (or close enough) only for this AU" thing because someone else did that in a not-so-good manner, I did a scribble of Dubwool Kamal and Pangoro Putunia a while back that you can look at to see I left them alone. No pale Kamals/Putunias here, and no intent to whitewash anyone else either. ;3

Honorable mentions go to Kanti and Ashish Bora, who are still fresh but are part of a project I’m actively working on atm, and my entire Shield Pokejinka team (aside from my Eldegoss, who is a cameojinka of someone who is Not an OC of mine :-) ), who are also very fresh and I haven’t had the chance to do much with, but I would metaphorically die for their in-game counterparts.

So ummmm...I remembered that Pokemon AU post and was already entrenched in designing some Pokejinkas anyway (aaaand making some minor plans with lots of wiggle room for whenever I do my team in SwSh) and I couldn’t stop myself. I had to draft a cameojinka of Habit, going with making him a Lilligant for obvious reasons. And also some less obvious reasons for those who don’t take a look at this Pokemon’s dex entries:

Several of them emphasize (okay the one that got repeated from Black, but STILL) that it is very difficult to get a Lilligant’s flower to bloom properly, which parallels the tooth lily quite nicely. Also a bonus little babby Habby as a Petilil.

And now for a couple potential gripes that I can see likely coming:

How come Habit ain’t got the Muppet nose? This is more of a tendency of my Pokejinkas to be completely human unless distinctly specified (ie. my Magnezone Polaris, my Beheeyem Kululu, my Dragonite Astrid, my Florges Navi, all my legendaries, probably some others that I can’t think of atm). If you look at my Vikavolt and Dusclops, you can see that they’re fully human takes on characters that are absolutely NOT human. So if I ever use Lilligant!Habit in my proper Pokejinka stuff, that’s the direction I’m going in. ;-)

But Petilil and Lilligant are female-only, why you using ‘em as basis for male characters? I never said my Pokejinka universe operated entirely on the same logic as Pokemon game mechanics, in fact afaik I only keep the type advantage and evolution stuff, maybe a little more. For example, my ‘jinkas that are of Pokemon in different breeding groups could have biological children if they wanted to so long as they have all the proper *ahem* equipment, so who’s to say that gender-exclusive Pokemon can’t be the other gender in the ‘jinka context? (except for genderless Pokemon, I will always make them nb regardless of what pronouns I give them) Besides, even if I do decide to keep the gender-exclusive thing, Dr. Habit himself said trans rights soooooooo... :3c

Me, thinking about my Pokejinka universe again and my tendency to make cameojinkas: I can totally throw Dr. Habit in there and make him into a Lilligant. :o

Nintendo and Bulbapedia and every other comprehensive Pokemon fan site: Petilil and Lilligant are both female-only species.

Me, already ten steps ahead: But Dr. Habit himself said trans rights, so jot that down. :-)

(now I’m kinda hoping that the Petilil line made the cut for the Galar Pokedex for...reasons >:3c )

So! Guess who's finally posting her Ultra Moon Pokejinkas! ...Well, one of 'em for now. Technically two, since Wiki's out, but they're the Rotomdex so let's clarify that I'm starting to post the actual in-game team. Here's my Primarina, Shigure. FE fans can probably guess where part of my inspiration from this dude comes from, hehe, but he's not a cameojinka because I don't do that with my starters (and after XD I've tried to limit it to either one or none per team). I wanted to make a pretty noticeable departure from Kaimana's style, and I think it worked out.

Shigure's kind of a loner, but that's more of introversion than actively trying to push people away. He's pretty curious about a lot of things, always ready to learn whenever presented with the opportunity. Fun fact, if he'd ended up being a girl, his name woulda been Azura. Instead, that's his mom. Just like his namesake! And I really shouldn't be getting into this yet because spoilers, but in a sense he and Kaimana actually share a dad. Only kinda, though. It's one of many things that distinguish the stories of Mahina and Luminous (my UM team's name).

So a while back @jeroesworld mentioned to me on DA the possibility of my Rotom Pokedex 'jinkas having alternate forms based on the various appliances that Rotom can possess, and you know what I thought about that? Wasn't half bad of an idea. It only took me forever and a day to figure out which forms they'd take on, as I didn't wanna do like I did with that Mettaton cameojinka where I made up three unique Rotom forms to him. =P But yeah, obviously I figured it out. Dexter's in Mow form, while Wiki chose Frost.

...I think I might actually let this play into my explanation on how the stories of both Mahina and Luminous (my USUM team) can take place despite the events of USUM and SM being almost the exact same aside from a few alterations.

And the last of the Tapu is here. Moana is not like her namesake, very serious about keeping Poni Island free of anything or anyone who would do it harm and not above using...cruel methods to dissuade them.

Fun fact, before I decided that all the Tapu in my 'jinkaverse would have feminine bodies and be referred to as she/her (still keeping with the vast majority of legends, myths, and now guardians being genderless in both the games and my 'jinkaverse), I was going to make Tapu Fini be a cameojinka of Maui and just not fit the obviously feminine shape of the original Pokemon at all. Then I did a Pokejinka of Mads' Primarina of the same name, and I decided I didn't want to deal with all those tattoos again. XD Hence why she's named Moana and not a cameojinka at all.
