Show Me: David Hale x Reader
Tumblr media
Tagging: @kmc1989 @hatersaremymotivators @bennykk @kelpies-shed
Companion piece to Graffiti, Crime Wave, Distraction Art School, Girl With The Crooked Smile & Feminism
Tumblr media
It’s raining when David picks you up from the art studio. Your hair falls across your face in wet waves as you climb inside his jeep in a thin camel coloured overcoat, a long black skirt and Doc Martens.
Even soaking wet, with mascara running down your cheeks you’re the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. He tells you that just to see you blush. He loves seeing the pink creep across your cheeks, the way your face lights up.
He realised early on that you enjoy being complimented. The men before him never knew how to cherish you, he thinks it’s a God damn shame.
It turns into praise in the bedroom, sweet nothings whispered against your skin as he tells you how good you make him feel, how pretty you look, how he loves the sound you make when you come and he makes you come a lot. Your pleasure is paramount to him, if you’re not having fun then neither is he. He gets off on getting you off.
“You have fuck me eyes right now.” You tell him as he angles the heater towards you and it’s his turn to blush because he’s always so damn transparent when it comes to his feelings for you.
“I was thinking about what I’m going to do once I get you out of those wet clothes.” He tells you, glancing into his mirrors before he pulls away from the curb.
“Why wait?” You ask him as you begin unbuttoning your white shirt. There’s a peek of black lace and he’s hard already, his cock straining against the confines of his uniform. “Find a place to pull over and show me.”
Love David? Don’t miss any of his stories by joining the taglist here.

“From here the stars are all obscured,” Aziraphale said, disappointed. “I’m so sorry, my dear. I know you wanted to see the stars.”
“Eh, it’s fine.” Crowley shrugged. “Doesn’t matter if there are stars or no stars. I just like being with you.” He reached out to touch the downward pointing lapel of Aziraphale’s pale overcoat, gently brushing off a little moth that had alighted upon the pale creamy fabric; before they left the apartment, they had changed miraculously from their evening wear to some ordinary clothing.
Aziraphale smiled at him, in that way that was not one of his polite customer service smiles, fictional and vague, but with a genuine and deep warmth that Crowley could clearly see even in the shifting light of a passing delivery truck’s headlights that almost obscured the angel’s expression.
“I like being with you too. I’m so glad you came. I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea but…” Aziraphale looked around. “You know, it’s one thing to do the ordinary day-to-day work of miracles and blessings, but when it’s an official thing, sometimes I get nervous. Well, all right, I am always nervous.”
“Nervous? Why?”
“I don’t know. It’s not like I’m not capable of blessings or divine inspiration, but-” Aziraphale paused, and Crowley waited patiently for him to continue. “It just seems that I...I’m afraid that somehow I’ll make a mistake. That I’ll somehow mess it up, when it’s an official thing. That when it matters, maybe I can’t do it properly.”
“Oh.” Crowley glanced at the angel, who was hugging himself, and then he put his arms around Aziraphale, drawing them to a halt in the deep shadow of a building, his chin upon the angel’s head. “I know you. You always do the right thing. Even...when you don’t want to.”
“Yes.” Aziraphale’s arms moved about Crowley with a vague hesitation before closing tight around him. “I suppose you’re right.” His words were muffled against the black fabric of Crowley’s suit, but Crowley heard him clearly.
“I know you don’t make mistakes when it comes to important things,” Crowley said softly. “And I believe in you. You’re much stronger and more able than you think.”
“I wish I would believe that too, my dear. You know, I’m so glad that…” Aziraphale sighed. “I’m sorry that I ruined our vacation-”
“No, no, it’s fine. Let’s just get this over with so we can go have some breakfast on the ship. Oh, and before dinner, could we go for a cocktail in the Observation Lounge? And I want to try the camel riding machine in the gymnasium. Never heard of such a thing; I want to know if it bites and spits properly like a real camel.”
“Yes, let’s do that. All of those things. And sit in the library together – I’ll read you something if you like, there’s a book that I’ve been reading that I think you might enjoy and we should try the Verandah Grill for lunch sometime, and oh! let’s go window-shopping, there are supposed to be many shops on the Promenade Deck. And if you don’t mind, my dear, let’s also go to the writing room.”
“The writing room?”
“I want to write a letter.”
“To whom?” Crowley wondered. “After all, I’m here-”
“Oh, to you, my dear.”
“Even though I’m here?”
“I just like writing letters.” Aziraphale tightened his grip around Crowley in a spontaneous moment of joy, wiggling them about to and fro and surprised, Crowley laughed.
“Then write me a letter. A long one. Tell me how much you’re enjoying our vacation.”
“I will,” Aziraphale promised, and then without warning the angel stepped back, letting go reluctantly. “Sorry, my dear. Look at the time, we had best hurry.”

A month out, my stats from World Beard Day. I only counted photos that I uploaded from scratch, rather than reblog pics that already had notes on them.
Leading the pack-by a lot-is that smoking hot photo from Sara Dunn, where he just looks like pure sex. Completely unsurprised this was the most popular, with 77 notes. And counting.
Pool table Aidan was second. Due to the tight shirt? No idea.
A tie for 3rd, between a photo of him in a camel overcoat at some event (Odessa, I think), and a gif from Leonardo.
I was surprised that 4th place was such a popular picture, where he's in the audience at Odessa. No idea why, unless it's due to the fact that I used it as my last WBD picture for the day. ?
My own photos from the Lemons stage door in 5th.
And a very sexy, be-turtlenecked CFM stare in 6th from some fashion editorial.
Beard day, once again, brought out people I've never interacted with on tumblr. I'm guessing it's got to be the tags.

...and because of my TBA religious art history project, I finally got into the church I'm obsessed with. Some day I will tell the long weird story about why I became so fixated on St. Mary Star of the Sea, which really looks like a sandcastle from the outside, but for now: The only time it's open is during mass, so I got up early and went. I really wanted an eyeful of its incredible murals and windows, but the service was kind of nice, too. When it was done, a man came over and made a point of making me feel welcome. He made sure I knew he wasn't bothered that I'm not Catholic, and began to tell me about the history of the building. He was very excited to tell me that "someone famous got married here!" I said, "Al Capone?" and he seemed overjoyed that I knew. He told me how when he himself was married there 40 years ago, "It felt like me and Capone were brothers!" He showed me how he kept shuffling his feet at the altar, trying to imagine exactly where Capone's feet were, until his bride asked him why he was dancing around like that. "I couldn't tell her I was thinking about Al Capone, she would have hit me over the head!" He looked a little like a gangster himself in his camel hair overcoat, nice leather gloves, and dark glasses. He told me his name was Butch, and I said maybe I'd see him again. I probably really will go back.

okay so this one was a concept for a barbie and kelly matching fall outfit set, i still really want to get to it one day. barbie in a nice giant camel overcoat and turtleneck dress, and kelly in a striped hoodie and jorts over winter tights and the whole thing tying it together would be that. kelly is dressed themed like a monkey (lighter brown patch on the sweater for instance, monkey ear earmuffs and a tail beltloop and also her jorts would have a babboon butt patch on the pockets lol) bcs like. as a child of the 2000s i used to wear a lot of bobby jack also my mom used to call me monkeybutt as a nickname also its cute. and barbie would be a bananna. because she is tall and blonde and its funny.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this was going to be a matching set for a request about bald vriska/rose. something something cueball head. really wanted to practice perspective on these ones but couldnt quite wing vriskas arm or mouth. was going to put either something funny inside roses magic ball or like a winter wonderland snowglobe scene.
Tumblr media
lolita inspired takes of the maid godtiers. porrim as a victorian era maid with the full bustle. way more lacey than actual maids would wear of the era lol. wanted to give her one of those big fancy iron teapots and yes. she was going to be doing the black butlor pouring tea over head pose. jane as a sweet lolita type maid with like icing trim and chocolate dripping and i was either going to do her trickster palette or like. lots of baby blues, deep blues and chcolately browns. her themed treat is one of those little serving carts w all sorts of cakes on there. aradia as a classic type of maid linens and cotton and a big sheepy bell etc etc but her whole thing was she going to have like a RIDIC huge petticoat like MASSIVE and even biggger hair than depicted like. the fluffiest sheep in the world. also cute little bloomers to match. her matching treat was going to be an apple pie annnd u can kind of see it but shes using her psionics to serve up a slice with one of those. pie. serving. utensils the weird triangle things idk i wanted to be gilded to match her bell.

Called into that style meeting
Tumblr media
Tuesday:
Me: OH NO IT'S BACK.
Brother: Knew he thought it was lucky. He probably only read the good reviews of what he wore. I think we may be the only ones who hate it.
Me: He's on screen right now and I just cannot believe he thinks pairing a blue blazer with a black sweater, trousers, and shoes makes sense. Wear a black jacket. Also it makes him look really blocky and he's a tall, thin guy. If he wants to break up the color a little, wear maybe a grey raincoat/overcoat. Or do an Emma Hayes and wear a camel coat. Power move.
Brother: I watched this clip yesterday where Kobe’s old point guard from high school interviews him and the first question is about how he didn’t think you could wear a black tie with a brown suit. We just need someone similar to call out Potter. Maybe Ron Weasley?
Me: If Mount and Chilly could also be called into that meeting, that's killing a few birds with one stone.
Brother: Also whomever does Kai's hair and facial hair.
Me: I noticed Kai is clean shaven now, but I hope he's growing his hair back out. I'm guessing whoever did his hair is responsible for Mount's hair as well, so basically just bring in Mount's whole stylist team.

ARCH∧BES standard duffle coat,Coat,Men's,Navy,Attached,Hood(Royal Navy 1940Model Modified) camel The overall design is based on the early US.Navy duffle coats, and the specifications are modified to fit the modern life scene while keeping the vintage look. What Outerwear Do Men Choose for a Business Style?
Tumblr media
Outerwear is a crucial part of a man’s business wardrobe, especially when dressing for cooler weather or formal settings. The right outerwear not only keeps you warm but also complements your suit or business attire, creating a polished and professional look. Whether you’re heading to a corporate meeting or commuting in style, here are some of the most popular outerwear options men choose for a business style.
You may be interested in: https://www.aumi4.com/products/249435157-furling-by-giani-belts-blue
1. Classic Wool Overcoat: The Timeless Staple
A classic wool overcoat is one of the most versatile and timeless pieces of outerwear for men. This coat is typically knee-length, made from high-quality wool, and designed to be worn over a suit.
Why it's popular: The wool overcoat is elegant and formal, making it the perfect choice for business settings. It keeps you warm while maintaining a sleek and professional silhouette.
How to style it: Opt for neutral colors like black, navy, grey, or camel, which are easy to match with most suits. The overcoat can be worn buttoned or unbuttoned, depending on your preference, and often features a notched collar or peak lapels for added sophistication.
2. Trench Coat: Elegant and Weatherproof
The trench coat is another popular outerwear option for business settings, particularly during the rainy seasons. Made from water-resistant materials, trench coats offer both functionality and style.
Why it's popular: Trench coats are known for their lightweight design and weatherproof qualities. They provide protection from rain and wind without adding bulk, making them ideal for transitional seasons like spring and fall.
How to style it: Classic beige or tan trench coats are the most traditional options, but black or navy versions can add a more formal touch. The belt and double-breasted design of the trench coat complement a well-tailored suit, creating a refined and polished look.
3. Peacoat: Short and Smart
The peacoat is a shorter, double-breasted coat that has its roots in naval wear. Despite its military origins, it has become a popular outerwear choice for business professionals.
Why it's popular: Peacoats offer a smart, tailored fit while being shorter and less formal than traditional overcoats. Their sturdy wool construction keeps you warm during colder months, and their structured design pairs well with business attire.
How to style it: Navy is the classic color for a peacoat, but it can also be found in black, grey, or dark green. The peacoat’s shorter length makes it ideal for pairing with both suits and business-casual outfits.
4. Chesterfield Coat: Sleek and Understated
The Chesterfield coat is a refined, single-breasted overcoat that offers a more modern and minimalist approach to business outerwear. It is sleek, with a straight cut and often features a velvet collar.
Why it's popular: Chesterfield coats are known for their simplicity and understated elegance, making them a great choice for professionals who prefer clean lines and minimal detailing. This coat’s formal design allows it to be worn over a suit without adding bulk.
How to style it: A black or charcoal Chesterfield coat is perfect for formal business attire, while lighter shades like grey or camel can be used for a slightly more relaxed yet still professional look.
5. Parka: Stylish Yet Practical
While not traditionally considered business wear, modern parkas have been adapted to suit business settings, especially in extremely cold or wet climates. A well-tailored parka can keep you warm while still looking professional.
Why it's popular: Parkas are practical for harsher weather conditions, providing superior insulation and protection from the elements. When designed in neutral, business-appropriate colors, they can be worn with a suit for commuting or casual business days.
How to style it: Stick to minimalist designs in black, grey, or navy to maintain a professional appearance. Look for parkas with clean lines and minimal hardware to ensure that the outerwear doesn't overwhelm the formality of your suit.
6. Blazer-Style Coat: A Hybrid for Modern Professionals
For those looking for something less formal but still stylish, the blazer-style coat offers a perfect hybrid between a suit jacket and an overcoat. These coats often have a more relaxed fit but maintain the structure and look of formal outerwear.
Why it's popular: Blazer-style coats are lightweight and versatile, offering a more casual approach to business outerwear. They are ideal for days when a full overcoat feels too formal but you still want to maintain a professional appearance.
How to style it: Pair with business-casual attire or a suit for a sophisticated yet relaxed look. Opt for materials like wool blends and stick to classic colors for maximum versatility.
7. Quilted Jackets: Modern and Functional
The quilted jacket has gained popularity as a business-appropriate outerwear option in recent years. While it offers a more relaxed and contemporary feel, it still looks smart enough to wear with business attire.
Why it's popular: Quilted jackets provide warmth without the bulk of heavier coats. They are also lightweight and easy to layer over a suit, making them a practical choice for professionals who are constantly on the move.
How to style it: Choose sleek, tailored quilted jackets in dark colors like navy or black. Look for jackets with a fitted design that complements your suit, ensuring the look remains business-appropriate.
8. Car Coat: Classic and Versatile
The car coat is a mid-length coat with a simple, straight cut that was originally designed for comfort while driving. Its versatility and smart design make it a popular choice for business attire.
Why it's popular: The car coat offers a balance between formality and practicality. Its shorter length allows for ease of movement, while the clean lines and tailored fit keep the overall look sharp and professional.
How to style it: Car coats in wool or wool-blend fabrics are ideal for business wear. Stick to neutral tones like black, grey, or camel for a versatile coat that pairs well with both suits and more casual outfits.
9. Mac Coat: Lightweight and Waterproof
The mac coat (short for Macintosh) is a waterproof, lightweight coat that is perfect for rainy days. This outerwear option is sleek and simple, designed to be worn over business attire without adding bulk.
Why it's popular: The mac coat is ideal for rainy weather while maintaining a polished look. Its streamlined design and water-resistant material make it both practical and stylish, offering protection from the elements without sacrificing professionalism.
How to style it: Opt for neutral tones like navy, grey, or beige. Pair it with a suit or smart-casual business attire for a refined, weatherproof look.
10. Technical Coats: Innovation Meets Style
For men who prioritize functionality but still want to look professional, technical coats are an excellent choice. These coats are designed with advanced fabrics that offer insulation, waterproofing, and breathability.
Why it's popular: Technical coats are becoming increasingly popular for their ability to combine modern technology with stylish design. These coats are perfect for professionals who commute in various weather conditions but still need to maintain a business-appropriate look.
How to style it: Look for technical coats in slim, tailored fits and neutral colors. The minimalistic design will allow you to wear them over a suit while maintaining a sharp, modern appearance.
Conclusion
The right outerwear can elevate your business wardrobe and provide comfort and protection in any season. From the classic wool overcoat to modern technical jackets, men have a wide range of options to choose from when dressing for business. Whether you prefer timeless, formal styles or something more contemporary, there’s an outerwear option to suit your personal taste and professional needs.
