Fanfic Idea! (Lucerys falls and lands in Ogygia, without memories, and Calypso took him in as a son)
Luke always felt like something was wrong. Calypso was his mother, but he did not feel any familiarity in her arms. He loves Calypso, but calling her mother felt strange. A nagging feeling somewhere in his head made it so he can only call her Calypso with an apologetic smile.
She said she understood, that the fever took away all his memories of their time together, that he will one day call her mother again, but Luke does not think it would happen any time soon. He feels sorry for Calypso, who treated him as lovingly as any mother would, she would smile at him sweetly and hug him as though he was his whole world, she would give him his favorite treats (though they tasted strange, like they were missing something in them), and dress him in the finest silk (he does not know where they come from, Calypso always said he does not need to know), she would sing him lullabies for him to sleep, and though her voice was melodious and wonderful, the language was something he doesn't recognize (Calypso said it would come back to him, but he could feel an itch in the back of his head every time he heard her sing).
She acted like the perfect mother.
Yet, whenever he hugged her, and inhaled her sweet cinnamon scent, he can feel himself searching for something else. He hunted for the scent of lemons, of fire, of leather. She smelled nothing of that sort.
When he combed her hair, he always seem to think of a different colored hair. Instead of their familiar caramel colored hair, he would envision a silvery blond that shone under the sun and glowed under the moon. When he looked into her eyes, instead of her dark eyes, similar to his own, he would think of, and he knows it was silly, but he would imagine strange purple eyes that looked at him in love.
Even his name sounded wrong. Well, not wrong, per se. Just....incomplete. Everytime she calls him, for dinner, to help her look for shells, to be her companion whilst digging up her herbs, he always waits, for a continuation of sorts. Luke....Luke.....what else?
It was strange. He was strange. His thoughts and feelings were strange.
But he always had a distinct feeling that he did not belong here, in the island of Ogygia, even when Calypso always told him that he was born here. The only reassuring thing was the smell of the ocean, the feeling of salty winds blowing towards him. It was the only thing he felt familiar with. And that is why he doubts. He doubts whether or not he truly lost his memories, he doubts whether or not he was even her son, but it was silly, for she had all his features, though his was, stronger, he supposed.
He felt the throbbing pain on his head every time he tries to remember anything of his past. It was a cloud, a stormy mist that covers it all.
He always thought this way. Days, weeks, moons long past, and he thought he needed to accept his, rather empty, confusing, and all around strange, life.
Until a large flying beast began to fall on their salty waves and sandy shores. Luke knows he should have ran to Calypso first. It was a stranger with a beast that looked large enough to swallow him whole.
But he looks at him, and oh.
Oh, was he beautiful.
And oh, was he so familiar.
He moves closer, removing the chains that strapped him on the beast, despite it being the first time, it felt relatively easy. He dragged him to the shades, and took a closer look at him.
He had the silvery blond hair he seemed to miss so much. He smelt of fire and ash and leather, a strange but familiar, comforting scent. And when he opened his eye, he sees it. A beautiful purple eye, staring at him.
What shocked him was when the stranger gasped, when he reached out to him, touching his face so gently, as if afraid he would disappear, and with such a voice that sounded like he was close to worship, he whispered a name.
"Lucerys..."
And he remembered, slowly, the memories came back.
"Uncle..."
------------
Why does my imagination run wild when I need to actually do reports and submit papers??!!!😭😭
So......
Thoughts? Violent reactions?
*Note: Calypso is from Greek mythology, and yes, she took him as a son rather than a lover, because one look at Lucerys and everyone wishes to protect him in a motherly way.
