So, Hades looks cool, but I am objectively bad at video games. How hard is it? On a scale of 1 to Bloodborne, how bad are we talking? How this isn't bothering you!
hehe thank you for the ask! It’s not bother :)  Hades is really really good- It’s definitely not as hard as bloodborne but the game is built around the fact that you will die often!! That’s sort of how the story progresses. It’s user friendly though and your success in playing is largely down to luck in finding good Blessings from the gods! Honestly though, every run (to try and escape the underworld) is really fun and engaging and even when you lose it’s not too big a deal because the next run will always be different and fun!

Hi, I was looking at your pre-order survey, and I was wondering what the difference was between the deck and the add-ons? Is the add-ons deck+other things, or is it just additional stuff? And what are the add-ons, exactly?
Hi! The add-ons are for Kickstarter backers who have already purchased a deck or 2 but wanted to purchase additional decks. If you have not backed the deck on Kickstarter, you can just use the first purchase option. :)

@callmedesdinova She is an 18 year old girl from Oregon, USA!
I wish I'd been keeping track of Kelsey's old lady word usage and references
She just referred to herself as twitterpated.
She also said "gads!" earlier with no hint of a joke.

Okay, that ComicCon picture is funny re: Misha, but has anyone noticed how fabulous Jared's hair is in that picture? So voluminous.

So, okay, I know the popular thing on your blog is to place the LG characters as companions and such in DA:I, but what about putting them in the game with the best (in my opinion) story: Dragon Age: Origins?
Niiice.
Well, let’s see.
We have a few options, mainly though the primary choice is - do we keep the ancient elves as ancient elves, ala Solas, Felassan, and Abelas, or do we make them contemporaries of the Warden and Co like standard companions?
Because I can definitely see a lot of modern elves just signing on to stop the Blight tbh. Loghain sells the alienage elves into slavery, which, to be honest, doesn’t signal a man who’s likely built up a lot of popularity with the elven communities of Ferelden to begin with (I mean so far as I know that’s the first time he was exceptionally shitty to them, but if he’s willing to do that, there are probably other instances that nobody saw fit to mention back when he was a trusted advisor of the king’s). So I don’t think City Elves, especially, would be hyped up to take his side against the Wardens, who are legendary heroes and who also take elves into their ranks (though not all City Elves seem to know this).
And even apart from that, the Blight is one of those things that brings people together just for the sheer sake of ‘I would like to not see everything I know and love get taken by the darkspawn’.
OTOH, having an ancient elf show up earlier on in the story would set some interesting precedents prior to Solas’ first appearance (or Felassan’s). And, structurally, I do kind of like the idea of having a companion in DA:O who was just kind of mysteriously weird for an elf (and probably getting inundated with ‘special snowflake’ complaints) turn out to be this Major Thing two games down the line.
But for that to work it would probably have to be someone connected to Solas, unless we want to get pretty convoluted in the over-arching narrative structure, so that pretty much limits it to Curiosity out of the main cast. Ancient Elf Curiosity would be a good DA:O companion, I think. She would disguise her smarts behind a certain amount of gregariousness and cheer, much like Alistair, Leliana, and Zevran do, but she’d also be a terror on the battlefield and offer really good - if surprisingly ruthless - advice. Also, I can absolutely see her and Leliana becoming a secondary pairing, if neither of them were romanced.
For the others... hmm.
The obvious opening would be to have them join up at the Dalish camp in the Brecilian Forest, since that’s one of the few major locations where you don’t pick up a companion (and also, elves live there). So, say, Uthvir and Thenvunin would probably be their Dalish versions, and then just run around with the Warden rather than the Inquisitor. Uthvir would be very anti-Blight on the premise of ‘not dying’. Thenvunin would fall a little more for the romanticism of the Grey Warden image, and might consider joining until he found out about the fine print.
For Haninan, I can see him maybe being an old friend of Zathrian’s. Old enough to know that the business with the werewolves is sketchy as fuck, and possibly even very angry about it, especially if it got his old clan killed or attacked. Also, his banter with Wynne would be pretty neat. They could take turns trying to out-do one another with their ‘back-in-my-day’ and ‘when-you-get-to-be-my-age’ stuff, but Haninan would always be like ‘pls Wynne you’re like forty’ and Wynne would be like ‘flattery will get you nowhere young man’.
Both of them would actually be kind of offended that the other one didn’t buy into their Old Person credentials.
Now, Hildur, we could pick up in the Deep Roads. I could see her being an alternative to Oghren, actually, like maybe there’s a scenario where if you side with one candidate for the throne, Oghren comes and meets you when you’re setting out, whereas if you side with another, it’s Hildur who gets wind of your quest and wants to go along because she’s been trying for goddamn AGES to get the shaperate to let her go poke around in the area where Branka’s expedition vanished (mostly because she’s heard there’s dwarven writings that could be reclaimed still waiting around there).
Of course, the trick with Hildur would be in getting her to want to go topside, after the fact. She probably would want to stop the darkspawn, though, like even if Blights tend to put pressure on the surfacers rather than the dwarves for a change, if the surfacers don’t stop the darkspawn, then it’ll all come down on Orzammar’s head from both directions. She wouldn’t want that.
Also she would really like Shale.
Fun times all around!

Tagged by: @ophidiae, @deadpoetsmusings, and maybe a couple of other folks - sorry, I lost track!
Rules: Tag anyone you would like to know/catch up with.
Last song: Not totally sure. Something from the 80s station as I was driving home from the grocery store earlier today.
Last movie: Ghostbusters: Afterlife and The Eyes of Tammy Fay on the plane when I traveled in June.
Currently watching: What We Do In the Shadows, Picard, Cheese: A Love Story, and Only Murders in the Building. I never have this many shows going on at once, and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed honestly.
Currently reading: Husband Material (I miraculously received an ARC!) and The Charmed List.
Current obsession: The wild bunnies in my neighborhood. :)
Tagging (no pressure, just fun!): @stefito0o, @brightbeautifulthings, @logarithmicpanda, @balaenabooks, @thereadingchallengechallenge, @callmedesdinova, @bibliophilecats

the hierophant reversed. are you walking to the beat of your own drum or are you just doing the purposeful opposite of the status quo? actively attempting a diversion is itself an acknowledgement of the source. color regardless of the lines, not outside of them.

I've been reading some more general bi-lesbian discourse, and one of the things I saw said that the 2 terms need to be separate because they describe 2 different lived experiences. And I wondered what about my experience being biromantic - homosexual. Which part of that lived experience doesn't matter and means I can't call myself bi-lesbian?! (Sorry, I just got a little incensed reading that and wanted to vent)
No need to apologize. It IS really frustrating and hurtful. Your experiences as a bi lesbian are incredibly valid and important, no matter what some assholes on the Internet say. I know you know this already, but you absolutely can call yourself a bi lesbian. There’s nothing wrong with the label, dammit, and I’m tired of people making up these “problems” about it, problems which don’t even exist to begin with.
