Here’s the final piece, on the wall. This canvas has been sitting on that spot on my walI, blank, for almost 4 years. Crazy how it just hits you outta the blue and you’re able to come up with something pretty dope. I’m pretty happy with it. Crazy how it contrasts with the super tight realism of the painting on the wall next to it. I love working in both styles, and more, so I’m always all over the place and never stick to one for too long. I look forward to doing more of these though and somehow combine this style with my more realistic figurative work. Yesterday’s painting session. I haven’t worked on anything abstract like this, that doesn’t involve letters, in a while. It was good to just let the brush go and see what happens. Sort of a calligraffic abstract... calligraffstract. And I used some color...that’s new. And go easy on your boy, I’m old as dirt and haven’t gotten down in a long ass time.
