So how do you think Harry's kids got here? Do you think a surrogate was used? Do you think a donor egg and/or sperm was used?
I'm of the opinion a surrogate was used for both kids and that they might not be 100% their biological children. I know some people say Archie looks like August and Lili from her photo when she was one years old is supposed resemble the late Queen at that age. But people often see what they want when deciding who kids look like and kids can look like different people as their faces change.
You could go to any school in multiple countries and find a kid who looks just like Archie and we don't know what Lili looks like because whenever she's been "papped" the person apparently used the worse camera ever and their specially is blurry photos.
More importantly for me the question is why the BRF have played along is it just because they were afraid of being called racist if they said Archie isn't eligible to be in the line of succession? Do they not actually know whether a surrogate was used or do they simply not care?
For Harry and Meghan they should have been open about using a surrogate. They would have received so much support, there would be the conversation about whether people should use surrogates but the majority of the UK would've supported their decision to have a family. Funny thing is it would've made their kids special and got them the attention they wanted. Hiding all the details about the kids has resulted in no one caring about them or having any connection to them.
I would like the truth to be publicly known even it causes problems for the BRF. You won't generally find me defending members of the British aristocracy but if they have to adhere to the succession laws then so should members of the BRF.
I shared my thoughts on this several months ago (sometime between February - May 2024) but I haven't been able to dig that post up. I'll repeat what I said here but I will not be discussing this topic any futher after this gets posted.
What I said several months ago still remains true: Sometimes I think it was a gestational surrogate. Other times I think she really did carry Archie.
On the gestational surrogacy: Their story of Archie's birth, as told via Spare, gives me extraordinary pause because medically, none of what Harry says happened is/was possible. The lack of detail and/or sob story from Meghan also gives me pause. Consider the way she shouted from the mountaintops about her miscarriage in the New York Times. Now consider how silent she's been about her traumatic birth with Archie (according to Harry) or about how California's COVID protocols during her pregnancy with Lili may have affected her mental health. I specifically point out the latter because most of the women I know who were pregnant and/or gave birth between March 2020 - Summer 2021 talked a whole [fork] ton about the COVID protocols in place that made pregnancy an awfully lonely experience. Additionally, Meghan's desire for privacy on these experiences contradict her usual preference to compete with and/or one-up Kate. Since we know Kate had difficult pregnancies, we expect Meghan to either claim she had it worse (which Archie's traumatic birth as described by Harry in Spare definitely is, since KP's reports of the three Cambridge births were "textbook and uneventful") or her pregnancy was so easy, so straightforward, so textbook, so uneventful that she was literally a goddess of pregnancy. But yet Meghan has remained suspiciously silent, even when she's doing her "as the momest mom to ever mom" PR.
On the "Meghan really carried Archie" side: I have a cousin who's as thin as Meghan was pre-Archie, right down to the ankles that could snap. Like Meghan, my cousin's only weight gain during both of her pregnancies was in her belly/baby bump. So I know it's possible for some women to gain no weight but the baby bump. And second, Meghan did gain weight during her third trimester - she was noticeably fuller in her face at the Windsor presentation and had a noticeably fuller body at Trooping and Wimbledon and appeared to struggle losing the weight until spring 2022/Platinum Jubilee. We know that Meghan is incredibly vain to where she wouldn't have gained all that extra weight without good reason - after all, she made Trevor sign a pre-pregnancy contract listing her demands / requirements to get her body back should they have a baby.
Now to your questions:
is why the BRF have played along is it just because they were afraid of being called racist if they said Archie isn't eligible to be in the line of succession? Do they not actually know whether a surrogate was used or do they simply not care?
I've already covered this here. I think you can find it under the surrogacy tag. So I won't go into too much here.
My theory for why the BRF played along is because they didn't know there was a surrogate until it was too late and by then, they were already trapped in the scheme so they had no choice but to go along. Presenting their schemes as faint accompli has been Sussex MO for a very long time, with no one developing a spine until they demanded to commercialize the monarchy.
My theory for why the BRF continues to play along is because Charles is somehow involved and/or implicated and that truth coming out would lead to a scandalously huge lapse in confidence that could only be reconciled by his abdication to William. Charles has waited too long to be top dog to let anything get in his way and I suspect that we'll only find out the truth (or even a partial truth) if Clarence House finds a way to untangle Charles from it.
As I said at the beginning of this post, I won't be discussing this anymore and will not be posting any asks resulting from this. You're free to discuss in comments or reblogs, though.

Scrambled Eggs to Bugs Bunny
Léger & Gregory murals bookend the expanse of the United Nations General Assembly Hall. New York City, NY.
Swept panorama.
Mural, East Wall (Scrambled Eggs) Mural, West Wall (Bugs Bunny) The United Nations General Assembly Hall is flanked by two large murals designed by French artist Fernand Léger (1881 – 1955). In the artist’s early works he created a personal form of cubism, which gradually evolved into a more figurative, populist style. He took imagery from the modern age including consumer materials and is sometimes considered the first Pop-Artist. While in New York, he was struck by the advertisements on Broadway which influenced some of his work, such as colours outlined in black. He practised, studied, and taught at the Sorbonne in Paris, at Yale University, Connecticut, and in Oakland, California, and returned to France in 1945. His work was featured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 2013. The mural on the east wall consists of red, white and dark blue organic shapes on a dark grey background. Upon seeing the mural in 1952, President Harry S. Truman from USA, referred to it as “Scrambled Eggs,” thus dubbing a long-standing nickname for the work. The mural on the west wall is a free-form creation in blue, white and orange on a dark grey base. US President Harry S. Truman called it “Bugs Bunny” upon seeing it in 1952, thus dubbing a long-standing nickname for the work. For these two murals, Leger was unable travel to the United States himself. Leger made the designs and prepared two maquettes of the murals but then gave them to his former student, Bruce Gregory, who traveled and executed the two murals. Bruce Gregory (1917 – 2002) was an accomplished artist and teacher. He was exhibited in several museums including, MoMA in New York City, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA, and Foster Harmon Galleries of American Art, Naples & Sarasota, FL. The mural was an anonymous gift through the American Association for the United Nations and was presented to the UN on 31 December 1952. Donor Region: Others (Institutions, Foundations, Individuals) Donor: Anonymous (through American Association for the United Nations) Classification: Paintings & Works on Paper Materials: Mixed Medium: Mixed media on plaster on metal mesh Location (Building): General Assembly (GA) Location floor: 2nd Floor Donation Date: September 19, 1952/December 19, 1952 Artist or Maker: Fernand Léger and Bruce Gregory Dimensions: 34 x 34 ft.

A hospital made amends to one woman by paying to exploit another?
NHS pays £1 million for woman left infertile by bungled surgery to have a surrogate baby
Donna Roberts, 41, was left infertile by a botched operation 15 years ago
Baby Mia was born last summer and Donna hopes for her to have two siblings
By JAMES TOZER
PUBLISHED: 17:00 EDT, 4 August 2023 | UPDATED: 17:29 EDT, 4 August 2023
A woman left infertile by a bungling surgeon has fulfilled her dream of becoming a mother after the NHS paid £1million for a surrogate in California.
Donna Roberts, 41, was injured in a botched operation for a bowel condition 15 years ago.
The internal damage left her infertile, apparently robbing her and husband Marc, 47, of their hopes of starting a family.
But in 2020 the Supreme Court ruled that women left unable to conceive due to medical negligence can claim the cost of a surrogacy abroad.
Mrs Roberts' lawyers secured a settlement to fund an egg donor and surrogate in San Diego.
And baby Mia was born last summer – and celebrates her first birthday next Saturday. The couple now hope the payout will fund up to two siblings for Mia.
'I still can't believe she's really here,' Mrs Roberts said yesterday. 'We're both absolutely besotted with her.
After everything we've gone through since my surgery, it's incredible to think that we've finally got a family of our own.
'Mia is doing brilliantly, she's such a cheeky, bubbly, happy little thing. What I went through in hospital has changed my life forever, I'll never be the same again. But Mia is the ultimate silver lining.'
Mrs Roberts had surgery at Gwynedd Hospital in Bangor, North Wales, in 2007 for complications from ulcerative colitis.
But after an operation, which a review found to be 'doomed to failure', she was left battling sepsis and MRSA, and told she could not conceive.
The surgery meant it was unsafe to harvest her eggs. so she and her electrician husband began legal action.
After the Supreme Court ruling, their lawyer, Richard Malloy of Gregory Abrams Davidson Solicitors, secured an apology from Betsi Cadwaladr health board.
A confidential settlement covered the £300,000 cost of organising a surrogate to California – where commercial surrogacy is legal – including legal, travel and accommodation bills.
After choosing an egg donor who resembled Mrs Roberts and shared their Welsh roots, the eggs were fertilised in a laboratory using Mr Roberts' sperm.
The embryos were then implanted in teacher Reggi'e Webster's womb. Mia was born on August 12 last year.
'It was just the most incredible moment,' Mrs Roberts said. 'Because surrogacy is so normal in California, there was absolutely no awkwardness about it.'
The couple, who moved from Llangefni in Anglesey to Liverpool after losing faith with the health service in North Wales, now hope to try for a second child using the same surrogate.
Mrs Roberts said: 'For some people the best option may be adoption. But for us it's been a dream come true.'
Mr Malloy said: 'The very significant hospital failings cruelly deprived Donna of the ability to conceive naturally, and we are delighted to have been able to support her and Marc.'
Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital is run by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board which is in special measures after its leadership was branded 'dysfunctional'.
Executive medical director, Dr Nick Lyons, said: 'We offer our most sincere apologies to Mrs Roberts and hope that the settlement reached will provide the support she needs.'
He added that 'significant changes' had been made to the way patients were treated and the operation she had was no longer offered.

FLORES
PARENT NAMES: Emilia and Louisa Flores
HOMETOWN: San Diego, California
PATTERNS: None
OTHER: Technically all of the Flores kids are half-siblings, as Emilia and Louisa used the same sperm donor but each donated eggs to their children.
Background
The Flores family consists of Emilia and Louisa, two women who fell in love in a way that truly came right out of a romance novel. Emilia was a young novelist who knew that she wanted to write the next great romance series, and she did. In the early 2000s, the Rockford series was known as the ultimate guilty pleasure period novels, with dashing dukes and a mysterious gossip columnist. Emilia met Louisa when the novels were first being published, as Louisa worked in PR for the publishing house. The Rockford novels became a smash hit when Netflix picked them up as a TV series, and it’s been the TV show that has catapulted Emilia into a very solid and stable career. Louisa is still working at Penguin Publishing. They have four children, two are biologically Emilia’s and two are biologically Louisa’s. They’ve used the same sperm donor for all four children, so they’re all technically half siblings. Emilia and Louisa have been having a rough patch and are currently in couple’s counseling. They are considering separating, but have been trying to reconcile for the sake of their family.

The Unspoken Reality of Queer Couples Trying to Conceive
Caitlin and Jess Gray, a queer couple based in Detroit, dreamed of having a baby for as long as they can remember - someone other than their dog to shower in kisses and love. Three years ago, following an unsuccessful IUI and an unwelcoming experience at their local fertility clinic, a close friend kindly offered to be their sperm donor. Not long after, they discovered his sperm was unusable due to a rare medical condition, and about a year after that, the Grays connected with an old friend in Colorado who agreed to donate his previously successful sperm. Caitlin got pregnant in both 2023 and 2024 but ended up experiencing two pregnancy losses. This is just a small glimpse into what the Grays have been through over the past three years as a queer couple doing everything they can to get pregnant. The process has cost them over $25,000 thus far, alongside a significant emotional and mental strain. The Grays are far from being the only LGBTQ+ people to face the challenges of conceiving in systems not designed for them. The number of queer people planning to have children is growing: a 2019 survey from the Family Equality Council found that 63 percent of LGBTQ+ millennials ages 18 to 35 are considering expanding their families by becoming parents for the first time or by having more children. A 2020 Census Bureau study revealed that 15 percent of the approximately 1.1 million same-sex couples in the US had at least one child under the age of 18 in their household. Despite these rising numbers, fertility clinics, insurance policies, and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation create systemic barriers that make an already complex process even harder. --- Experts Featured in This Article Amy Divaraniya, PhD, is a data scientist and the founder of fertility care brand Oova. --- Financials are one of the most talked about aspects of queer family planning, and it makes sense: the cost of building a family is considerable. One vial of sperm can cost anywhere from $1,500-$2,000, and most of the time, clinics require a purchase minimum. Donor eggs, meanwhile, can cost anywhere from $25,000 to $40,000, and surrogates are estimated at $100,000 to $200,000. These costs are almost always out of pocket as insurance policies that cover fertility care are slim. As of 2023, 14 states provide coverage on private insurance plans, and only three states inclusively cover LGBTQ+ people. These are just examples of beginner starter costs - before factoring in legal fees, medical costs, counseling services, and post-birth expenses. Queer people of color looking to build a family face even greater financial and logistical challenges due to the limited availability of diverse donors. As of February 2024, California Cryobank had 327 sperm donors, but only 14 were Black, per Illume Fertility, representing just 4 percent of the total donor pool. Similarly, according to the most recent data from the CDC in 2013, Black women experience infertility at nearly twice the rate of their white counterparts, driving even higher demand for Black egg donors. But the monetary cost isn't always the most challenging part of the process. The emotional, mental, and psychological hurdles are often just as - if not more - demanding and exhausting. Marea Goodman, a queer midwife and author of "Baby Making for Everybody" whose pronouns are they/them, still recalls how overwhelming it was to start their own family planning process, despite being an expert in the field. At that time, Goodman then decided to create an online virtual community, Pregnant Together, an education center to make queer parents feel less alone, as an attempt to help other families fill the isolation they experienced during their conception journey. "Being in connection with each other helps us go through hard things. It helps us build resilience, access information, and find community. I started Pregnant Together to give queer parents visibility and open them up to… https://www.popsugar.com/family/queer-couples-fertility-interviews-49389451?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=tumblr

Gestational Carrier Services in Laguna Niguel, California
Acacio Fertility Center provides Gestational Surrogacy or Gestational Carrier services in Laguna Niguel, California. Surrogacy is what many people recognize as “traditional” surrogacy. Traditional surrogacy relies on the surrogate (the woman carrying the pregnancy) to provide both the egg and the uterus. Typically, artificial insemination is used to fertilize the surrogate's eggs with the client husband's sperm. A gestational carrier is used when the client family can provide their own sperm and egg (either their own or from a donor). https://www.acaciofertility.com/services/gestational-surrogacy

Pregnancy is very powerful in your physique — so it’s optimal to realize being pregnant while you’re nonetheless relatively younger and general healthy. Benefits And Downsides san francisco egg freezing Egg Freezing
The law doesn’t restrict the number san francisco egg freezing remedy cycles, and there's no lifetime cap, though insurers could set limits based on their medical tips and patients’ medical histories. Insurers aren't required to supply fertility treatment protection unless employers who provide their insurance select to san francisco egg freezingfer it. Religious organizations and employers who self-insure are exempt. Some san francisco egg freezing these costs may embrace thawing, embryo transfer, implantation, and others. But when you do take on financing, you will have to pay that money again, with curiosity.
Our donors are recruited and screened by our Donor Program Team, which features a reproductive endocrinologist, a medical psychologist, licensed genetic counselors, and program coordinators. Donors become available for matching solely after their screening has been absolutely completed and candidates are deemed to be appropriate candidates per all pointers. This includes a review san francisco egg freezing medical and household history, a radical bodily examination, genetic and mental health screening, and testing for infectious illnesses. Having a child utilizing a donor egg san francisco egg freezingfers couples with the opportunity to experience pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and having a toddler who's genetically related to the father.
Utilizing The Eggs
Some couples could delay beginning their household to the extent that when they finally resolve to have youngsters, it can be difficult, if not inconceivable, to conceive naturally. The first step in exploring egg freezing is to schedule a session or meeting with a fertility specialist, generally identified as a reproductive endocrinologist. During your checkup, you and your doctor will review your current fertility and see whether or not egg freezing is an effective option for you in gentle san francisco egg freezing your age and expectations. After the egg retrieval, the EVOLVE group checks in with you to see how you’re feeling. You may also discuss how the egg freezing cycle went and next steps. Knowing your fertility options will empower you to make the right choices for your self and your future. Some put their careers first, others have sicknesses like cancer that affect their fertility, and some do not have anyone in their lives to start a family with. Klatsky says Spring Fertility does about 90 procedures a month, together with in vitro fertilization and egg freezing. He says it's important to understand his sufferers are busy, so Spring works with their schedules. This natural tendency for a woman’s eggs to deteriorate culminates in her mid-30s, when not only the number but in addition the standard san francisco egg freezing her eggs decreases rapidly.
’ they can set that aside,” says Marcelle Cedars, director san francisco egg freezing the University san francisco egg freezing California, San Francisco’s Center for Reproductive Health. There are questions round egg freezing we can not reply (how many eggs promise a live birth?) however cost is one thing we will. The final complete can rely upon where you reside, what quantity san francisco egg freezing cycles you need, how lengthy you retailer these eggs, and if you ever use them. But for now, let’s try to suppose broadly about what this course san francisco egg freezing would possibly run you. Pregnancy may be very powerful on your physique — so it’s optimal to achieve being pregnant while you’re still comparatively young and total healthy. Single Cycle Bundle
I’m an excellent believer in younger women taking charge san francisco egg freezing their fertility by getting their eggs retrieved and stored. But clinics and the federal authorities have to do a much better job ensuring these eggs will be there when these women wish to use them. Until they do, ladies present process fertility procedures should ask whether or not storage tanks are FDA-approved. Because no one should face the darkish nights san francisco egg freezing anger and regrets that I still live via. In much more circumstances, fertility clinics have by accident switched specimens so that ladies gave delivery to somebody else’s child. UCSF has helped sufferers become dad and mom with donor eggs since 1991.
But it does not control how clinics maintain storage tanks as a outcome san francisco egg freezing they don’t fall beneath the FDA’s jurisdiction since they are not marketed to sufferers.
Nonetheless, arriving on the decision to pursue ovum donation could be a tough process.
In May, going through the biological threshold san francisco egg freezing age 35, when a lady's fertility takes a steep dive, she went to the California Pacific Fertility Center in San Francisco and had 14 eggs removed and frozen for future use.
Most girls can get pregnant naturally and their eggs become a backup plan or insurance coverage. We encourage you to suppose about how many children you need when freezing your eggs. Although it may be easy to get pregnant naturally the primary time, relying how many youngsters you need, contemplate freezing eggs for that second, third or fourth child (if that’s your desired plan). Egg donors are bright, motivated, and wholesome girls aged who donate their eggs as a result san francisco egg freezing they want to assist different folks have households. These ladies undergo in depth medical, physical, and psychological screening consistent with FDA guidelines.
Have Questions?

"YOU COULD NEVER HANDLE YOUR WHISKEY, AND YOU COULD NEVER HANDLE ME. "
FULL NAME: Janelle Laura Decker NICKNAME(S): Nellie PREFERRED NAME(S): Nellie BIRTH DATE: June 25th, 1977 AGE: 47 OCCUPATION: Den Mother @ The Raven AFFILIATION: Hellraisers MC (old lady) TIME IN TV: Born and raised in TV, left in her teens, returned on a permanent basis at the insistence of her brother, Joseph Decker, about 2 years ago.
GENDER: Cis Woman PRONOUNS: She/Her NATIONALITY: American ETHNICITY: White NEIGHBORDHOOD: Glenn Estates
BIRTH PLACE: Tonopah Valley, NV HOMETOWN: Tonopah Valley, NV SOCIAL CLASS: Upper class
ABOUT (tw: sexism, abuse, and death)
Born in Tonopah Valley, to Jonathan and Jackie Decker. Although, with how quickly Jackie Decker fled their household after Janelle's birth, she only considers the woman to be an egg donor of sorts. She was left with her brothers, Joseph, almost two decades older, James, and her father.
Joseph was...Okay, but both James and her father were sexist assholes who made sure that Nellie could never win. If she acted submissively, she was told to grow a set of balls. If she stood up for herself, she was told women should be seen and not heard. It wasn't long before Nellie decided to say 'fuck 'em' all together and do what she wanted, seeing as she couldn't make them happy regardless, she might as well make herself happy.
Her father died before she had even really hit her teens, leaving her in the care of her eldest brother and his kids. She loved her niece and nephews, but had to get out from under her family's dysfunctional thumb. So a few months shy of graduation, she got the fuck outta dodge.
Once James left Tonopah for his highfalutin job Nellie would swing home more often to visit Joseph and the kids, but she mostly lived up to her title of black sheep, letting the wind blow her wherever it wanted.
Eventually she ended up in Eureka, California, where she fell in love with a man wearing a Hellraisers kutte, and she never looked back. That is, until a chase on a shitty old logging road took him from her. She almost packed up and headed back to TV then, but found comfort in the family she had found in the Eureka chapter.
But then her blood family came calling. Joseph said he needed her, so she returned. It was only upon doing so did he tell her the reason: he was dying. A cancer that doctors said it wasn't worth trying to operate on. And with her knowledge of the MC, he left it to her to decide whether they should continue on in their deal with the devil or leave. Nellie knew she was in too deep, and called Sawyer, asking her to return home as well.
HEADCANNONS
Nellie is not a woo-woo type of girl, she believes in what you can do for yourself. But sometimes, Nellie wonders if running into a member of the very same MC that was started in her home town was fate. The same fate that would lead other members of her family to become involved in the same club years later. At first, she thought it was a great way to piss on her father's grave and give her brother agita. But now she knows it was a way for life to show her the real meaning of family (gag).
Over the years, Nellie has picked up a number of scars, the most prevalent being: one on her cheekbone from the kickback on a gun when Taylor was teaching her to shoot, one under her eye from a bar fight that ended up with a beer bottle to the face, and some wicked road rash on her back from a death wobble on the back of a prospect's bike.
If it wasn't for the legacy her nephew and niece are leaving, she would've taken Taylor's last name. But she's finally starting to wear Decker proudly (strange, what happens when all the abusers in your family bite the dust).
She may not have always worn Decker with pride, but Black Sheep, she did. First it was as a woman in a male dominated family. Then it was the type of woman she was. Later it was her refusal to bend to her brother and father's will and live the life she wanted. It was whispered at every school reunion in the crowds she used to run with, all with their shiny house in the Glenn Estates. She heard Andrea call her that more than once to her niece and nephew and her prissy friends at the country club. But she didn't mind, she thought black suited her quite well.

Ode to Donor Gametes
Robin Silbergleid
I was not thinking of Russia or the Holocaust or eugenics when I picked the donor from an online catalogue like I was ordering a new pair of shoes. I don’t mean to sound blasé. It was more complicated than that. But by the time spring came and the third failed IVF, I didn’t care about SAT scores or eye colour; I wanted any embryo that latched to my uterine wall and grew. The German philosophy major, the filmmaker from California, even the one whose favourite food was pork. What did genes matter? I already knew I’d name my second child for dead relatives from the old country, the ones who made it out before the camps. My uterus washed with grief, empty kiddush cup after the seder. That was the only time I really prayed. That day when I paced outside, waiting for a call from my doctor with good news, eggs and sperm married in a petri dish, an offering from a Midwestern girl with ovarian abundance and kind eyes who knew to look away.
