9 inches gone! Went from 62 inches (low-calf) thin “fairytale” ends to 53 inches (knee length) blunt cut. 💇🏾‍♀️ It’s okay! My hair grows 8-9 inches per year. I pretty much ignored my hair for about a year and a half (bare minimum wash and condition, no trims) and it was in very bad shape. I spent a lot of 2017 using heat on it - look how thin the ends are. It already looks and feels much healthier after the cut. 🎉 And my “chunky bangs” are now grown out to my hip bone, so in another 2 years or so they will be long enough to contribute thickness to the full length of my hair.
