Abilities: Calysta has the ability to shield herself mentally and physically. Most telepaths are unable to enter her mind, and other forms of mental manipulation don't work on her. She can also "expand" this mental shield to cloak/hide herself and anything she touches. She is undetectable when doing this; essentially invisible but also untraceable.

Biography

Calysta is the second child born to Andre and Jeanette Gauthier and was raised in Bordeaux, France. With her father being an investor and her mother being a successful plastic surgeon, Calysta was born into a life of wealth and privilege. It was instilled in her at a young age to go after what she wanted and not let anything or anyone stand in her way.

Though the message was received, it was also heavily implied that Calysta and her older brother, Matthias, would follow in their parent's footsteps and pursue careers in business or medicine. This was something Calysta never wanted to do, as she had always been drawn to art and design, particularly in fashion. For this reason, along with being an overall rebellious child (and a secret mutant), Calysta always felt at odds with her family.

One fateful day, Calysta returned from school, only to find her family acting strangely. It wasn't until she went to her room that she found out why. There she saw Wisdom, a girl about the same age, trying on her clothes. The two stared at each other for what felt like hours until Wisdom finally asked why her powers weren't working on Calysta.

Where some might see a simple intruder, Calysta saw an opportunity. She allowed Wisdom to stay and control her family, as long as Wisdom made it so that Calysta could do whatever she wanted. Initially weary of each other at first, the two grew closer over the years, and Calysta now regards Wisdom as her actual sister.

Calysta came to New York shortly after Wisdom did, under the guise of looking for her lost sister. She's currently enrolled in a fashion school and uses her mother's maiden name as her surname to avoid any unnecessary attention there.
