Life is indeed full of beauty. Last Saturday, I was asked to make a cake for one of our regulars, Doug, who has been battling with cancer. He was so surprised when we brought it out to their table while we sang "Happy Birthday" in the middle of a very busy cafè crowd. The whole family, most especially Doug really appreciated the efforts we did. Surprisingly, the next day his wife came in to give me these flowers along with a card. It feels overwhelming. I remember one lady said to me that I have this "special gift" - the gift of making people happy through my cakes. Seeing those smile on their faces is like giving me a pat on the shoulder, saying "you've done a good job". The joy it gives when I know I've made someone happy is immeasurable.
