getting into sewing is so rewarding. i saw a dress that looked so cute & comfy and went "i bet i could make that" and then i made it !!!!!!!!!
#from gifted fabric too so it was free!!!#it's a big cotton caftan#it's soooooo comfy#and so flowy!!!!!#the drape on this fabric is magnificent#and it's reversible!!! (front & back)#one side of the neckline is gathered & rounded and the other is pleated and squared!#they both look great front or back#which it's kinda funny i only added them cause i made a mistake cutting and the neck was too wide#so i was like hmmmm i'll add gathers#but then my gathering threads broke#and so i evened out & sewed down what i had on half and went hmmmmmmmmmmmm what about a back pleat#this is how sewing seems to go for me lol i make a mistake and fixing the mistake actually makes the piece cuter#i'm learning soooooo much#this was my first dress!!!!!!!! and i'm in love with it#do i have a crafting tag#i should make one#crafting#yippeeeeee
