Book recs: the evil fungi did it
We all know of The Last of Us, but that franchise isn't the only example of fungal invasions. We've got zombies and apocalypses, we've got gothic horror, we've got fantasy, we've got romance, we've got space - no genre is safe from having their characters become the home of fungal organisms.
For more details on the books, continue under the readmore. Titles marked with * are my personal favorites. And as always, feel free to share your own recs in the notes!
If you want more book recs, check out my masterpost of rec lists!
The Girl with all the Gifts (The Girl with All the Gifts series) by M.R. Carey
Want another fungal zombie apocalypse? Then I come bearing great news! The Girl with All the Gifts is a post apocalyptic novel following a group of characters fleeing across an infested wasteland, trying to stay alive and hoping to find a cure. One of the characters is Melanie, a young girl who carries the contagion inside of her and hungers for flesh, but like many children of the apocalypse has kept her humanity. Is she and children like her the answer to the cure we are looking for? Or are they the start of something entirely new? This book has also been adapted as a movie!
Cold Storage by David Koepp*
Years ago, a quickly growing fungal organism capable of wiping out humanity came dangerously close to spreading. It was contained and kept in cold storage underneath a military repository. Since then, a larger storage facility has been built on top, the dangers on the lower floor being largely forgotten. That is, until it makes a new attempt at escape. Now, two unsuspecting security guards might be all that stands in the way of complete extermination. This book is both funny and genuine in its characters, and genuinely creepy in its portrayal of body horror.
Salvaged by Madeline Roux
Rosalyn Devar is on the run from her famous family, and has run so far she ended up in space. Now she works as a "space janitor", being sent off to clean up the remains of failed research expeditions. But in trying to cope with her problems, she has fucked up on her job multiple times, and is now close to losing her position. Her last chance is the Brigantine: a research vessel gone silent, all crew presumed dead. But when she arrives to salvage it, Rosalyn discovers the crew isn't as dead as presumed. But are they still human - and will Rosalyn be able to keep her own humanity?
The Annual Migration of Clouds by Premee Mohamed
Novella. Reid is a young woman living in a small community after a climate collapse. Resources are scarce, but Reid's biggest problem is Cad, a mind-altering fungal parasite that lives inside her body. When she is offered a rare chance at attending a far-away university in a secluded dome community, Reid must decide whether to leave or stay to help support her community.
Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia*
Noemí Taboada is a glamorous and well-off young woman, but when she receives a frantic letter from her newly-wed cousin, Noemí must leave her glamorous life and travel to find out what is wrong. As she arrives at High Place, a mansion on the Mexican countryside, Noemí is met with mysteries and her cousin's new English family. As she tries to find out the truth behind High Place and its inhabitants, Noemí's only ally is the youngest son of the family. But will she be able to find out what so scared her cousin before it's too late for all of them?
Sorrowland by Rivers Solomon
A young pregnant woman flees a cult that left her body strange and changing in terrifying ways. Hiding from both a world wanting to oppress her and the cult seeking to force her back, she does her best to raise her children while trying to find out the truth of the cult and being pursued by a hunter in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Bleak and scary, Sorrowland is a book that will creep under your skin with horrors both fantastical and very, very real.
What Moves the Dead (Sworn Soldier duology) by T. Kingfisher
Novella. Alex Easton, retired soldier, travels to visit their childhood friends, siblings Madeline and Roderick Usher, after finding out that Madeline is dying. In the siblings' rural, ancestral home, Madeline walks in her sleep and looks to be fading away, while around it wildlife seems to be possessed by a strange force. With the help of a mycologist and an American doctor, Alex attempts to save Madeline and reveal the truth of her illness.
Wanderers (Wanderers duology) by Chuck Wendig
A strange illness has struck the United States: with no warning, random people with seemingly no connection simply get up and start walking. They do not eat, do not sleep, do not communicate, and they do not stop - and if you try to force them, they literally explode from the inside. Teenaged Shana isn't one of these sleepwalkers, but her little sister is. Unwilling to leave her sister on her own, Shana accompanies the growing flock of walkers, protecting them as one of many "shepherds". And this protection proves necessary, as the sleepwalkers is only the first step toward what might very well be the extinction of the human race. An 800 page epic, Wanderers is a slowburn apocalypse story with a multitude pov characters and plot threads, from fungal pandemics and all-knowing AI to the all too real portrayal of radicalization and bigotry.
The Dawnhounds (The Endsong series) by Sascha Stronach
The Dawnhounds is a book where you just kind of have to let the story and the world wash over you. It skirts the line of scifi and fantasy, with a futuristic world of environmentally friendly mushroom houses and deadly fungi bio weapons next to literally god-given superpowers and near-immortality. It’s really cool and unlike anything else I’ve ever read, but also a bit confusing. Bonus: it’s also sapphic!
Agents of Dreamland (Tinfoil Dossier trilogy) by Caitlín R. Kiernan
Novella. A government agent known only as the Signalman; a cult preying on the young and vulnerable, promising to usher in a new age; a woman who exists outside of time, searching for a way to save humanity. Agents of Dreamland is short, but includes many spooky elements, among them an alien and possibly world-ending fungi. The narrative is non-linear and a bit strange, but also fascinating.
The Genius Plague by David Walton
Soon after landing his dream job at the NSA, things get weird for Neil Johns. His brother Paul, a mycologist, returns from a trip to the Amazon, carrying a nearly lethal fungal infection and a strangely sharpened mind. At work, Neil starts picking up mysterious messages originating out of South America, where cases similar to that of Paul starts occurring. And strangest of all: all the infected seem to be working towards the same goal. Recommended with the caveat that, while the fungal stuff is really cool, The Genius Plague is also happy to idolize American intelligent agencies and demonize environmentalism and anti-imperialism.
Little Mushroom: Judgement Day (Little Mushroom duology) by Shisi
An Zhe isn’t human. He’s a mushroom who absorbed the DNA of a dying man, allowing him to take on human guise and leave the wilderness. Entering one of the last human bases, a place struggling to keep out the mutated and dangerous creatures of the wilds, An Zhe must keep his identity secret as he searches for something which was taken from him. While not my cup of tea (frankly, I need more female characters), Little Mushroom is an undeniably unique m/m romance novel.
Bonus AKA these don't technically involve any fungi but have similar vibes of parasites and nature corrupting the human
Parasite (Parasitology trilogy) by Mira Grant*
In the near future, a great leap in medical science has improved human health by leaps and bounds: a genetically engineered tape worm. Within a few years, almost every human has their own personal parasite implanted. But now, something is happening to the parasites - they want more, whether their hosts want to share or not.
Annihilation (Southern Reach trilogy) by Jeff Vandermeer
For decades, Area X has been completely cut off from humanity. The only ones to enter are small organized expeditions, many of which never return, or return... wrong. We follow the latest expedition, its participants known only as the anthropologist, the psychologist, the surveyor, and our narrator, the biologist. As they enter into Area X to try to find out its secrets, only one thing is for sure: they will never be the same again.
Wilder Girls by Rory Power
Young adult. Over a year ago, the Raxter School for Girls was hit by the Tox, a strange disease that killed off many and left the survivors' bodies slowly changing in terrifying ways. The island the school is on has been in quarantine since then, and the girls dare not leave the school grounds lest they become victims of wild animals changed by the Tox. But as they wait for the promised cure, one of the girls goes missing, and her friends are willing to do anything to find her. Unsettling, spooky, and sapphic, this is a unique read featuring body horror and messy, dangerous girls.
(Second) Bonus AKA I haven't read these yet but they seem really cool
City of Saints and Madmen (Ambergris trilogy) by Jeff Vandermeer
Ambergris, a city created by a mushroom-like people, is now the home of humans, but the original inhabitants are still there, residing beneath the city.
Creatures of Want and Ruin (Diabolist's Library series) by Molly Tanzer
It’s the prohibition era, and while Ellie does fishing during the day, at night she bootlegs moonshine in Long Island. But unbeknownst to Ellie, some of the booze she smuggles has a strange source: distilled from mushrooms by a cult, it causes those who drink it to see terrible things, such as the the destruction of Long Island.
Bloom by Wil McCarthy
The inner solar system has been overtaken by fast-reproducing, fast-mutating technogenic life. Humanity has fled to the outer solar system, hiding beneath the ice of Jupiter's moon, but even here they aren't safe from possible incursion of mycospores, which lead to deadly blooms. Now a group of astronauts venture back to an infected Earth.

BRUSH BOUNTY - Kyle Webster Gouache A Go Go Set
Listen, okay, I'm gonna be candid with y'all here. I own an old version of Photoshop CS6 but I am NOT enrolled with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and I have no intention to enroll with it due to the fact that I just don't use Photoshop, like, ever. But I'm REALLY itching to get my hands on the Kyle Webster Gouache A Go Go brush set because it's the one that RS primarily uses to create LO, at least according to an old FAQ she did before she deactivated her Tumblr. So far the only brush I've managed to find is the free-to-use Kyle Webster Builder Brush on Gumroad, but as for the rest of the brush pack, it seems to have migrated to the Creative Cloud service which means the ONLY way to access it is to pay for that pesky subscription.
I have ALREADY gone to insane measures to try and find this brush set. I've found 3 year old Reddit threads that used to distribute it and DM'ed random people I don't know to basically beg at their DM doorstep for these brushes and I've turned up nothing. Are these brushes even worth this shit? Probably not, but I won't know until I find them. My hyperfixation demands it.
WORST CASE SCENARIO I can subscribe to CC to export the brushes but Adobe can be kind of... sketchy with how they handle short-term subscriptions (I've heard there are ToS clauses that force you to pay for the entire year if you want to cancel early ???) and I've already paid $26 for the Jason Brubaker font set which I'm FULLY willing to trade with you if you'd be willing to bring me the brush set or if you know someone who can. I just don't want to give money to Adobe purely for this stupid brush set LMAO esp if I end up trapped in some yearly deal or something.
And also let's be real, CC is stupid expensive, not worth it for one flipping brush pack that I'm just gonna export and throw into CSP. I mean for fuck's sakes, it's on Black Friday sale rn and it's still over $40 CAD just for ONE MONTH. Fuck right off Adobe (ㆆ_ㆆ)
So yeah. This is me coming forward and asking for help from whoever can provide it. I don't want any moral cooties in my inbox calling me out for 'pirating' or w/e the fuck, I'd be fully willing to pay for these brushes if there was a more directly-sourced way to do so (like how it USED to be before Kyle moved them behind the Adobe paywall) but alas, that isn't the case and I shouldn't have to spend $50 and make an account and sign a ToS just to get these brushes. It's the principle of the thing.
#brush bounty#lore olympus critical#lore olympus brushes#please help#i'm at my wit's end#and i desperately need closure#do it for the amazing AU content#it's not like i'm gonna stop making AU content but think of how much better it could be if i had those brushes#i'm just mcgyver'ing it right now with the design pencil and that one free Kyle brush#i will love you forever

Studying abroad has become a popular choice for Indian students seeking high-quality education and better job prospects. However, recent changes in immigration rules in key destinations like Canada, Australia, and the UK have made it increasingly difficult for international students.
Canada: Canada has introduced several changes impacting students:
Cost of Living Fund Requirement: From January 2024, students must show CAD 20,635 in addition to tuition and travel costs for a study permit.
Working Hours: The post-pandemic work limit is now capped at 24 hours per week during study periods.
Student Admission Cap: Canada now limits international student admissions to 360,000 study permits, reducing opportunities for new applicants.
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Restrictions: From September 2024, students in certain licensed programs will be ineligible for PGWP, restricting their ability to stay and work post-graduation.
Australia: Australia is also tightening its immigration rules:
Enrolment Cap: The 2025 international student enrolment cap is set at 270,000, affecting future admissions.
Visa Application Changes: New rules require genuine intent proof for offshore student visa applications, and graduates must leave Australia after their visas expire unless sponsored.
United Kingdom: The UK’s Graduate Route Visa has benefited Indian students, but potential restrictions could impact future applicants:
Speculated Restrictions: The UK government considered limiting this visa to top students, which could severely reduce opportunities for Indian graduates.
Migration Advisory Committee Proposals: Suggested changes include higher salary thresholds for visa sponsorship and banning dependents from accompanying graduates.
These stricter immigration policies in leading study destinations are raising concerns and creating new barriers for international students, particularly from India.

FRANCES YATES AND THE MNEMONIC WORKS OF GIORDANO BRUNO
After Warburg's death in October 1929 and the migration of the Institute to London in 1933, Brunian studies at the Warburg Institute took a very different direction thanks to the research of Frances Yates (1899-1981). While Warburg's interest in Bruno and image-based thinking brought his philosophy towards the present, Frances Yates' hypothesis of an Hermetic Bruno rooted his thought in a distant and partly mythical past at the antipodes of modern times. Nevertheless, while her Giordano Bruno and the Hermetic Tradition (1964) takes a different path from that traced by Warburg, her other Brunian study, The Art of Memory (1966), is perhaps her book closest to Warburg's preoccupations. Indeed the history of mnemonics practices, by means of which mythological figures lived from the Antiquity onwards as animated bearers of learning in the intimacy of the human brain, had everything to interest Warburg. In fact the Art of Memory was written in close consultation with Gertud Bing as confirmed by this excerpt from the preface:
Now that the Memory Book is at last ended, the memory of the late Gertrud Bing seems more poignantly present than ever. In the early days, she read and discussed my drafts, watching constantly over my progress, or lack of progress, encouraging and discouraging by turns, ever stimulating with her intense interest and vigilant criticism. She felt that the problems of the mental image, of the activation of images, of the grasp of reality through images – problems ever present in the history of the Art of Memory – were close to those which preoccupied Aby Warburg, whom I only knew through her.
Frances Yates expounded the first results of her research on Bruno's art of memory in a seminar at the Warburg Institute in 1952. She showed her reconstruction of the wheel described in the De Umbris Idearum, Bruno’s first mnemonic work published in Paris in 1582. The two wheels illustrated below are part of the same work and serve as an introduction to using the larger wheel.
In the first fixed ring the practitioner will assign a mythological or heroic figure to each letter. Bruno provides some examples : A Lycaon; B Deucalion; C Apollo; D Argos ... (see De Umbris Idearum, pp. 107 ff). The letters of the second ring correspond to an action or a scene associated with each figure. The examples provided are: AA Lycaon at a banquet; BB Deucalion and pebbles; CC Apollo and Python; DD Argos and some cattle (ibid, p. 112). Thus rotating the first inner ring operates permutations between the figures and their action. Further permutation occurs when the third wheel is set in motion. It contains attributes or enseignes which can be easily passed from one figure to another. Bruno provides only four examples and leaves the rest to the imagination of his reader. These are : AAA, Lycaon at a banquet with a chain; BBB, Deucalion and pebbles with a headband; CCC, Apollo and Python with a baldric; DDD, Argos and some cattle with a hood. This way the systems makes it possible to create combinations of letters representing words, acronyms or syllables to be remembered by means of animated images mixing the attributes and accustomed actions of familiar mythological figures.
BAA: B Deucalion A at a banquet A with a chain MAD: M Perseus A at a banquet D with a hood CAD: C Apollo A at a banquet D with a hood COD: C Apollo O and Proserpina D with a hood
To approach the larger wheel Bruno advises his reader that `...it is necessary to dilute the printed page into an immense space'. The last section of De Umbris idearum describes the content of the larger wheel over 40 pages. It consists of five concentric rings divided into 150 rays each subdivided in 5 cells. On the outer rings are numbers, letters, the name of inventors followed by four more wheels of words corresponding to the categories of agent, action, enseignes, attributes (adstans) and circumstance.Frances Yates reconstruction of Giordano Bruno memory wheel from `De Umbris Idearum' - Click the image to access full version (PDF 1.5 mb)
`How did the system work? By magic of course, by being based on the central power station of the … images of the stars, closer to reality than the images of things of the sublunar world, transmitter of the astral forces, the `shadows’ intermediary between the ideal world above the stars and the objects and events in the lower world.’ (The Art of Memory, p. 223)
This interpretation, based on a misplacing of the images of the planets, was first revised by Rita Sturlese in her critical edition of the De Umbris of 1991 (pp. LXVIII ff.) and later by Francesco Torchia (‘La chiave delle ombre’, Intersezioni, 1, 1997, pp. 131-151). Both scholars strip Bruno’s construction of its magical character. According to Sturlese the wheel is in fact an adult toy conceived to learn foreign words. Here each ray corresponds to a set of syllables combining one consonant with one vowel. Thus reconstructing a word with its phonetic constituents amounts to combining the various elements of each section. The addition of the images described in the last ring before the hub creates in the end a mnemonic background by means of which new words can be remembered. For instance to remember the word Numeratore you should pick the first syllable in the outer ring, NU, which corresponds to `Apis’; the second syllable in the second ring, ME: `in tapeta ’; the third syllable, RA, in the third ring: `deploratus’; the fourth syllable, TO, from the 4th ring: `compedes’; and finally RE in the 5th ring. This last ring provides a background against which to set the image thus created: `…mulier super hydram tres cervices e quarum singulis septem exiliunt capita habentem, vacuas antrorsum tendens manus’ (De Umbris, p. 151).
Thus you can remember the word numeratore through the following image composed by the combinatory wheel:`the god Apis weaving a rug and wearing rags with wood blocks on his feet, with, in the background, a woman stretching out her hands and riding an hydra with many heads.’
Torchia's objections to this system are too long to be listed here. His main point, following the traditional criticism of classical mnemonics, is that it requires far more cognitive effort to memorise the images than the words themselves. His observation that the figures placed on the outer ring of the wheel represent all the inventors of all the arts suggests that Bruno's object could serve as a means of discoursing on and memorising any subject, very much in the spirit of Giulio Camillo del Minio's memory theater (ibid. p. 146). This interpretation places a central importance on the images of the planets. The practitioner of the art will himself select the agent and the actions for memorising an argument and associate his selection with the astral image corresponding to the figure of inventors selected on the first outer ring (see Torchia p. 148). In this interpretation the image composed is associated with a narrative, now embedded in the astral figure.
Such object can in fact be put to many uses. To the sources used by Bruno and listed by Mino Gabriele (Giordano Bruno: Corpus Iconographicum, pp. 36-40) could be added Leon Battista Alberti's ingenious system, expounded in his book on ciphers, by which wheels very similar in appearance to those illustrated in the De Umbris Idearum serve the purpose of coding and decoding messages - a method that can be applied to Bruno's mnemonic system. Thus while Frances Yates's earlier reconstruction is not completly accurate, and her assumption that the wheel worked by magic as an inner talisman is no longer tenable, it still offers a useful visualisation of the complex and powerful system Bruno had in mind.
Scholarship has greeted Yates's views on Bruno and Hermeticism with considerable scepticism while less specialised literature continues to repeat her findings thanks undoubtedly to the greater diffusion of English language literature as much as to the outstanding clarity of her style. She nevertheless remains one of the first English speaking scholars to have highlighted the importance of early modern mnemonics. Writing in the early 60s, and criticised for detaching the past from Modernity, she could not anticipate that the art of memory would experience a true renaissance. Today thanks to recent technology a single individual can carry several thousands of texts, sounds and images in a container smaller than a pack of cigarettes and access them through a screen. Thus Frances Yates's studies on the survival of the Ancient art of visually organising, combining and retrieving knowledge may now be apprehended as early modern solutions to eminently contemporary problems.

Saturday Morning Coffee
Good morning from Charlottesville, Virginia! ☕️
I’ve been a bit obsessed with the idea of creating a CAD package for the Mac recently. For the challenge of it is why, but it would only be doable in a decent amount of time with financial backing large enough to hire a few folks to pull it off.
There is a way to jumpstart the process. The Open Design Alliance has portable libraries for reading and writing DWG files as well as rendering and so much more. All in portable C++.
Imagine a beautiful CAD app created just for the Mac. And yes, I know many already exist. 😁
Oh, right, I have a Mac app I need to finish.
Well, let’s get to it! Enjoy the links.

Today we launched Shareshot! We’ve been working on this app for almost exactly a year, and we’re so pleased to be able to finally ship it. Here’s a little backstory and behind-the-scenes for those of you into app development.
Congratulations, Marc! Shareshot is a beautiful example of iOS craftsmanship. Go give it a try!

I am an unrepentant advocate for migrating away from memory-unsafe languages (C and C++) to memory safe languages in security-relevant contexts. Many people reply that migrating large code bases to new languages is expensive, and we’d be better off making C++ safer. This is a reasonable response, after all there’s an enormous amount of C++ in the wild.
There is an enormous amount of C and C++ in the world. Too much to simply replace. I like Alex’s pragmatism on the matter. He has some proposals to improve the language without taking it too far down the path to incompatibility.
Just this week my interest in Rust began to grow. I’ve been using Swift daily since 2014, maybe 2015, and I really love the language and its ability to leverage the compiler to fix many of the memory issues seen in C and C++, like dangling pointers, forgotten allocations, and object lifetimes. We also have Rust to provide us with a solid memory protection model and the ability to be used for high performance code that is cross platform.
Rewriting software is costly and can also cost you your company. So taking that on should probably be avoided like the plague.
What if you picked your battles? How about writing new code in Rust or Swift? Perhaps improve public access to API’s by fronting it with Rust? How about picking some code known to cause a lot of crashes in your app and rewrite just that bit?
We can use tried and true methods in C++ to improve memory safety but it requires developers to be extremely disciplined.
Simple things like filling new memory allocations with known patterns. I prefer to fill the memory with zeros. You can also do the same when you delete it.
Reference counted pointers AKA smart pointers — help.
Modern C++ has introduced mechanisms to transfer pointer ownership, always a tough problem to handle and the problem that lead to the creation of smart pointers.
Anywho, the piece is an easy read with good ideas. Go give it a gander.

Many Procreate users can breathe a sigh of relief now that the popular iPad illustration app has taken a definitive stance against generative AI. “We’re not going to be introducing any generative AI into our products,” Procreate CEO James Cuda said in a video posted to X. “I don’t like what’s happening to the industry, and I don’t like what it’s doing to artists.”
I can really appreciate this stance. Artists often have a deep psychological attachment to their work and the creative process — hell — they go through to bring it to life. Taking that work, that style, and using it to train an AI to rip them off is just slimy.

The FreeBSD Project is, for the second time this year, engaging in a long-running discussion about the possibility of including Rust in its base system. The sequel to the first discussion included some work by Alan Somers to show what it might look like to use Rust code in the base tree. Support for Rust code does not appear much closer to being included in FreeBSD’s base system, but the conversation has been enlightening.
Speaking of Rust! Apparently Rust has found its way into the Linux Kernel and Microsoft has used it for Windows API development. It’s time for FreeBSD to get on board!

Why does Apple feel it’s worth trashing their relationship with creators and developers so that they can take 30% of the money I pay an up-and-coming creator who is trying to make rent in time each month? In my experience (limited!! I work primarily in the west, with speakers of EN, ES and FR, mostly doing Latin alphabet OCR for documents and only rarely for patterns, CAD, etc):
Things scanned from physical media are done from secondhand stores and trash. One person elsewhere in the notes seems to have found the original text for the Japanese label you mentioned, which is from an old Blockbuster DVD cover. That suggests to me it was acquired with a bunch of 'trash' products from the US.
My guess is that it would have been made for a primarily Russian or adjacent audience initially, and migrated to others 'English is so cool' markets over time. I have no way to prove that, beyond the OCR clearly having some Cyrillic settings.
Best of luck getting more info from the supplier! I would personally love to know more myself!!
The funniest thing about the original Goncharov post is that I have seen people do exhaustive amounts of research in order to discern that it’s a misspelling/mistranslation of Martin Scorcese’s “Gomorrah” and then go “well this explains everything” while never once questioning why it’s on shoes

纽约的华人
The remarkable growth and advancement of dental practices can be attributed to various factors. One of the noteworthy contributors is the ever-increasing awareness among the Chinese population about the significance of maintaining good dental health. These modern facilities offer state-of-the-art technology and a wide range of services, catering to the evolving needs of patients. The focus on comprehensive dental care ensures that individuals receive personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific oral health requirements.
In addition to the growing awareness and improved facilities, the dental profession in PRC has also witnessed significant advancements in education and research. Dental professionals are dedicated to continuously updating their knowledge and skills through rigorous training programs and participation in cutting-edge research studies. By staying at the forefront of dental innovation, they strive to provide the best possible care to their patients, ensuring optimal oral health outcomes. This commitment to ongoing learning and development not only elevates the standards of dental practices but also contributes to the overall growth and quality of the dental profession in the country.
Overall, the combination of increasing public awareness, improved dental facilities, and the dedication of dental professionals has resulted in a remarkable positive transformation of dental healthcare. With the growing emphasis on oral health, more individuals are recognizing the importance of maintaining good dental hygiene and seeking regular dental check-ups. This shift in mindset has led to a healthier and happier population, as dental issues are detected and addressed at an earlier stage, preventing further complications down the line. Furthermore, advancements in dental technology and treatments have made dental care more accessible and comfortable, ensuring a seamless experience for patients. As PRC continues to prioritize dental health, the future holds great promise for further improvements in dental healthcare, ultimately benefiting the overall well-being of the population.
Another significant contributing factor to the progress of dental practices in the country is the country's rapid urbanization. This growth in dental clinics and services signifies the evolving landscape of oral healthcare in PRC, as well as the increasing awareness and importance placed on dental health among the population.
One of the groundbreaking trends in the realm of dental practices is the evolution of technology.
