What I'm Doing With The TS2 Universities: The Best-Laid Plans

So because my darling @uberhood teens are starting to go off to school, I'm starting to remodel the universities! Right now I'm thinking about how to make them distinct from each other-- especially since I overdid it and accidentally added every fucking campus in the game and a few modded ones.

So, I'm making this post so I remember wtf I was planning to do with all of these unis. What architectural styles was I planning to use? What mascots was I planning to give them?

Sim State University

Elevator Pitch: Rub elbows with SimNation's best and brightest-- or get invited to their epic ragers-- at SSU.

Inspiration: The College of William and Mary. An old, red brick campus that's split into the Old Campus and New Campus? That's Sim State U if we ever saw it.

Majors: International Relations (modded), Political Science, History, Economics Mascot: The Fightin' Llamas. Rival School: Land Grant University.

La Fiesta Tech:

Elevator Pitch: The truth is out here! Unlock the secrets of the universe at La Fiesta Tech.

Inspiration: New Mexico State's more modern architecture

Majors: The "Four Ps"-- Paranormal (modded), Physics, Psychology, Philosophy Mascot: The Antisocial Bunnies Rival School: Cactus Canyon University

Academie Le Tour:

Elevator Pitch: "Alta cultura, altior drama." If you want to study the liberal arts, there's nowhere better than Academie Le Tour.

Inspiration: Was it ever going to be anything other than Oxbridge? It was never going to be anything other than Oxbridge.

Majors: Languages (modded), Art, Literature, Drama

Mascot: The Magic Dragons. (TS4 Oxbury Dragon)

Rival School: Caelestis University

Land Grant University:

Elevator Pitch: Higher education is a new concept in the area. We'll see how it works out. (~@penig)

Inspiration: Texas A&M. I don't expect to have to remodel too many of the buildings, because this isn't a Maxis school-- but if I do, I'm gonna use The Agricultural School Par Excellence as inspo.

Mascot: The Ragin' Bulls (AKA: Cow)

Elevator Pitch: "Study the quirkier side of life and find your people."

Inspiration: OCAD University, Toronto. A mix of traditional turn-of-the-century architecture and the most Gonzo Pomo shit you ever have seen.

Majors: Galactic Ambassador (modded), Crisis Management (modded), Fashion (modded), Art

Mascot: The Clackin' Lobster (from TS4 Britechester)

Rival School: Academie Le Tour

Quaddington University:

Elevator Pitch: "Braiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiins...."

Inspiration: The entirety of Abandonedamerica.us, but especially the Warner Swasey Observatory in Cleveland (and, by extension, Case Western Reserve University).

Majors: Dead Languages, Law (modded), Drama, Philosophy

Mascot: N/A. Might un-default the Brahmin mascot suit from @davinaojeda's Fallout set-- I think that would be funny.

Rival School: N/A. Quaddington U just opened its doors to the public again, and hasn't really had time to reestablish rivalries.

3rd Semester (Wednesday)

The third semester started with Dionne's wish to join the student's association. While there was one at CCU, she decided to apply for Nu Alpha Iota over at Caelestis University. She had been accepted at CU, so why not switch schools to join the coolest association around?

She got along especially well with Sage, who was giving her moon eyes all afternoon.

Lotus, Sage and Eunice soon were convinced, Dionne would be a great addition to their association!

With everything happening around them, it was had keeping up with their studies, but one sister did better than the other, so much I can tell.

One evening on campus, Dionne met a guy, who instantly caught her eye. Gerry Mander always ran around in that fancy suit, and Dionne couldn't help but compliment him on it.

Dionne: Man, I like it, when guys know who to dress. You don't find men in suits that often, these days. Gerry: Well, thank you! I can't tell you, why I'm wearing this suit, but the compliment is greatly appreciated.

Gerry was a very well-mannered young man, and him and Dionne soon lost all sense of time, standing in front of the university building, chatting and flirting the time away.

Dionne: I think there is a photo booth inside. We could use it to get some extra privacy Gerry: Wow, are you sure? Dionne: Never been surer than right now. Can you carry me over?

The building wasn't that crowded at that time, but their deed also didn't stay completely unnoticed...

Gerry: Wow, that was hot. Dionne: Hot? That was dazzling! But I really have to go now, see you around Gerry?

Of course, Dionne had to brag about her newest shenanigans in front of Phoebe. And she also didn't care that Luis, their dorm mate, was sitting between them.

Phoebe: What do you mean, you lost your virginity in a photo booth tonight? Dionne: Just as I said it! He was so sweet and caring, really worked hard, that I had my fun too. Phoebe: Who the heck is HE even? Do you even know his name? Will you see him again? Dionne: Of course I know his name, it's Gerry. And he left me his number in my bra. Not that I asked for it. I don't know if I'll see him again. He was nice to be around, but I'm not really looking for "nice" at the time.

Phoebe really didn't know what to say anymore. She only hoped her sister had used protection...

By the way, Dionne had been right about warning Phoebe to use the sports room in the midday heat…

Dionne: Hey, sis, you okay? Can you at least come out of that corner, so I can help you?

Dionne: *grumble* Okay, then from behind. Careful, Phoebe!

Phoebe: Wow, I feel so strong!

So, when Phoebe was in the mood for a workout again, the sisters visited the gym, that seemed to have better ventilation.

This time, Dionne realized too late, that she hadn't done enough for school this semester. But a late night studying session couldn't save her this time around, and she was put on academic probation. Phoebe's graded weren't that great either, but she managed to pass, and that all that matters, right?

every day’s a party at the larson-zamora apartment. josie, and their other friend, markus kimura, usually come by to hang out most nights.

mikey and josie have been casually hooking up since high school, but things have been getting more serious between them lately.

Currently building/setting up a new uberhood made out of custom populated neighborhoods that I like to play, because I can never decide and stick to one thing. It's mostly desert setting so I'll probably make "empty" subhoods containing only the Sims out of the non-desert ones, so I can just add the Sims and move them in somewhere else. Main hood is gonna be Strangetown, but because I'm a completionist I've downloaded the Overkill-Strangetown SC4 Terrain by @chrisnewbie and plan to put all the Strangetown Sims from all the games in there, possibly add La Fiesta Tech and maybe even the TS2 Stories Sims (probably not though. Or maybe only Pet Stories).

So my current set-up looks like this:

- Main: Strangetown (uber version, no or few townies)

- Downtown: Emerald Heights

- University: Cactus Canyon, Quadington, LFT (Playable Sims + Secret Society only)

- Vacation: Winter Wonderland (mountain), possibly Felicity Island (tropical), ??? (far east). Maybe turn Nekojima into vacation hood? Hmm.

- Subhood 1: Sedona Deluxe + Copperhead City (Sims only) + maybe Pitstop Valley

-Subhood 2: Jeans Shaker Oasis

- Subhood 3: Service Area

- Subhood 4: Saguaro Desert + Douglasville + maybe Blackrock (no or few townies)

- Subhood 5: Softpines (on a dirt terrain) + Oak Hill + Oaken Valley

- Subhood 6: Arkhelios + Winterose (Sims only) + Nekojima (if not Vacation Hood)

I also got the Sims of Polgannon, Nekojima (not sure what to do with them yet) ... I've removed the bulk of dead ancestors from all the hoods to strip them down a little [edited to add I've also removed excess NPCs from all the hoods so far, in particular those stupid useless drivers] but still feel like this *might* be slightly overkill. Lol.

The Hacienda Getaway (CC Pack for The Sims 4)

Welcome to "El Agave" Hacienda Resort!

Hey, Simmers! With the arrival of the "Ciudad Enamorada" world in The Sims 4 Lovestruck, I couldn't resist recreating a beautiful spot I visited last year in Los Cabos, Mexico.

This CC Pack is all about an old hacienda where they produce the finest tequila. Even though I'm not a big drinker, the place was simply magical! Of course, I had to try a couple of Paloma cocktails and some tequila shots – when in Rome, right? 🍹

In this pack, you'll discover a treasure trove of old archways, grand double doors, and windows made of wood, clay, and iron, all available in open versions to bring your spaces to life. Plus, there's a full set of cozy, leather-style living room furniture where your Sims can chat, relax, or get a little romantic. 💕

I had a blast crafting the rustic coffee table and console with carved wood finishes. The iron chandeliers add an authentic old-world charm, and the mud planters with cacti are a perfect touch of the local flair. 🌵

But wait, there's more! I've added new flowers, a traditional-style rug, rustic painting frame, cushions, armchair, cool beams for your ceiling, beautiful terracotta tiles, and of course, a tequila set to make it all complete.

I had a lot of fun creating this set, reminiscing about one of the best vacations I've had. I hope to go back soon, but in the meantime, my Sims can enjoy a bit of that life.

Bday upload #2 is a tattoo box I made in collab with DeeDee Sims!

For all your sims that are prone to impulsive decisions and/or want to rebel against their strict parents, here's a box of 11 less-than-skillful tattoos that may or may not have been given in a suspicious garage by an amateur artist! I tried to emulate "ignorant-style" tattoos with these designs.

The talented and skilled @deedee-sims put this tattoo box together, it works the same as all her other tattoo overlay boxes!

I included a matching recolor of the civic idol poster to use as a recolor of DeeDee's tattoo overlay object if you wish. Tattoo list:

4t2 Seasonal Trees Collection (Giant)

Some of you asked me about this and I finally delivered! 🥳

This is a collection of 4t2 trees converted from Sims 4 in original textures and made seasonal. It is meant as an add-on to my 4t2 Default Replacement Flora because I didn't include trees already available there.

2 cc palms by Max20 (from his Poolside Lounge Pack)

6 dead trees (non seasonal but get snowy in winter)

5 tree lights (separate objects (lamps, found in lights-misc), show up in hood view)

As always, I tried to follow real-life seasonness of plants but sometimes had fun with some states and textures, don't take it too seriously. Seasonal states are not pictured on purpose so you could discover them yourself, in their full glory.

2nd Semester (Tuesday)

The second semester was quite uneventful for the sisters. Phoebe instantly threw herself back into work and even into studies that had nothing directly to do with her major. She sometimes tagged along when her sister visited the community lots and met many new people, but more often than not, she just spend the evening in Dionne's shadow.

Several hours before their exams started, Dionne noticed, that she had been missing out studying for the past semester and got a fear for going on academic probation. So she sat down for a last minute studying session. Good thing Phoebe didn't find out about her lazing off the semester.

And so they both finished the semester with decent grades.

✈️ ACNH Airport Set ✈️

57 items | Sims 4, base game compatible, some extra swatches added by me 💗

All the items you'll need to recreate the Airport from ACNH, Dodo Airlines, in your TS4 game. Most items came with only 1 swatch each. Some items I have added extra swatches for. *The Monstera Plant that goes inside the airport has already been made in part 2 of the Paradise Planning set. Everything is always posted with the option of pick & choose, so they are easy to find and one-click download.

The floor for the interior is 12 swatches, like a puzzle, can be put together for any room size.

I do not use DX11 with my game. If you are using DX11, run the DX11 batch fix with Sims 4 Studio before starting your game. For those that have never done it, do not fear for it is very simple and will update any CC in your mods folder that needed it. I know the new DX11 API causes issues having something to do with the walls build items, that I know of. If you do not have Sims 4 Studio, here is a link about how to install it from their official website. (And of course, if you need help please send me a message).
