Top 10 tips for staying sane on #bookstagram: 1. Post pictures of things you love 2. Consistent themes make things easier, but they’re not essential 3. Sometimes the photos you spend ages on are the ones that get the least interaction 4. Curse the algorithm at least three times a week for ruining everything 5. Shelfies, book rainbows, and Harry Potter = the holy trinity 6. Taking a break/posting less is okay (and sometimes necessary) and you don’t ever have to apologise for it 7. It doesn’t matter how many books you own 8. Your books don’t have to be pristine 9. It’s your account so be yourself 10. ‪8 Sep 2017.‬ Does anyone else get this kind of phantom pain in their wrists at the sight of a massive book? Like 'Ah, yes. The size of you will absolutely destroy my frail little arms and I should definitely go to the gym at least once in my life'? I'm never sure if this is a thing other people experience or if it's a side-effect from wrist surgery I've never paid much attention to. The #ASongOfIceAndFire books are pretty freaking massive but #ADanceWithDragons takes the cake. When I get home from holidays I want to weigh this beast. I remember lugging It around when it was first published, having to decide whether I wanted to shoulder the weight of necessary items (water, keys, phone) in addition to this book. ‪8 Jul 2017.‬ Prisoner of Azkaban or Goblet of Fire? I… I can’t choose. I can’t do it. They’re both so wonderful for different reasons and they've been with me through so many different parts of my life. Both books were published on the 8th of July. #PrisonerOfAzkaban was published in 1999, and #GobletOfFire was published in 2000, so today they’re 18 and 17 years old respectively. ‪9 Jul 2017.‬ Only one week until #GameOfThrones airs! The titles and vague plot details of the first three episodes have been released and I'm SO excited. 1. Dragonstone: Jon organises the defence of the North. Cersei tries to even the odds. Daenerys comes home. 2. Stormborn: Daenerys receives an unexpected visitor. Jon faces a revolt. Tyrion plans the conquest of Westeros. 3. The Queen's Justice: Daenerys holds court. Cersei returns a gift. Jaime learns from his mistakes. Since this season only has seven episodes, that takes us pretty much halfway through. There's no explicit mention of Arya, Bran or Sam yet, but I'm desperately hoping they get at least some screen time during those episodes. What are you most excited for? Any theories?
