CR3 Quick Reacts - EP 65

It’s fascinating how much Ashton hates Percy so much calling him an entitled asshole and everything when the both of them are really similar and the both of them don’t know it

I only realized this during Ashton’s talk with FCG at Milo’s place when Ashton talks about how they don’t want to lose their friends and says “Family’s dangerous” after being ripped half way across the world from most of their friends without anyway to contact them

And Percy says something similar back in the infamous Bard’s Lament after Keyleth asks the group are they all still friends and Percy answers her “Worse, we’re family” right after one of their friends walks away from the group and seemingly having no plans to ever come back

They know that having friends and family can break you in ways that cannot ever be known unless you have lost them. When it comes down to it, both characters can’t stand their friends leaving them and that’s probably rooted in trauma at a young age of losing your family, Percy with the Briarwoods, and Ashton being dropped off on the outskirts of Jrusar and then again when the Nobodies left them behind

Both of these characters are so emotionally broken that they will hold onto their closest friends with tooth and nail against impossible odds because they know what it’s like to lose everything

god chetney totally clocked them, it's so funny bc they were NAWT subtle -- also, patê low-key exposing them and laudna very subtly (not) changing the subject... chef's kiss.

this episode????? was so good??? i am so happy that my hellians are back together??? i can barely focus rn so I'll try to remember all the good bits (which was the whole episode).

fcg and ashton -- im really glad ash specifically told fcg to hold onto the feelings they have for frida to give them smth to come home to, bc he's brought up how self destructive fcg can get bc they don't consider themself important. it was a very cute moment, and i almost cried bc i love ashton and... idk. he's not coping.

ashton gave me very manic energy this episode. a lot of emotional distress disguised as an epiphany, but that moment of them telling fcg that they can't afford to be useless explained every second of flustered panic.

(not to be that person but i uh...i am starting to ship milo and ashton. i liked it before but now i REALLY like it).

i need to know wtf talie and matt have cooked up those little bastards.

chetney getting caught in a trap almost immediately after ajit warned them to be careful or whatever was pretty funny. the whole time that was going down i kept thinking, "the world is ending. we have better shit to be thinking abt than this fr," and not in a bad way. it's just ??? bro who cares who hired you, we are BUSY. i knew chetney attacking that shop keeper was gonna bite him in the ass, and it honestly was hilarious.

i know it was just casual and also sort of a trick, but i loved fearne giving chet a little kiss. they are so real to me y'all don't understand.

i have a very complicated relationship with the matron, bc i love her aesthetic, love her vibe (tho i hate birds, but i love a raven motif), and i also will never forgive her for taking my skrunkly wunkle away from me. that shared vision between orym, chet and fearne was... fucking amazing. matt outdid himself this episode fr. it's probably one of my favourite scenes of this whole campaign.

speaking of which... VAX SCREAMING???? HE'S IN PAIN????????? LET MY BABY GIRL OUT????? I STARTED FUCKING BAWLING NO JOKE. The imagery was so visceral i felt sick to my stomach and i just started tearing up. ludinus your days are fucking numbered.

we're in zephrah 🥺 i knew the episode was about to end, and it was so damn beautiful, but i can't wait until thursday. we're gonna see kiki. we have to tell her abt vax, but i also don't want her to know that he's suffering.

being in zephra for Orym can go two ways in my opinion:

1. he gets a peaceful moment of reprieve with his family and sees that Keyleth is sort of okay and it helps his mental state

2. Orym gets reminded of what he’s fighting for by seeing his family and the wounds on Keyleth that are identical to the attack six years ago and now he’s ready to go to worse places to make sure Ludinus’ head is on a spike and Will and Derrig are avenged

either way I’m very very excited for next Thursday

Okay, but they said that prisoners that were magically imprisoned, escaped, because the magic that were holding them faded. Could that mean that Trent could also be free again ??

If his collar doesn't work anymore, he for sure fled ! Maybe Beau and Caleb are after him again, it is years later, they got more powerful ! Possibly the live show in October will be about what happened on their side and about catching Trent again.

The convo between Ashton and FCG at Milo's place was so nice and is living rent free in my head.

Ashton opening up a bit about how they're feeling, the "I need you to tell me about your boyfriend" (which FCG does after a lil' bit), FCG asking if they could hug them (which Ashton accepts), telling eachother how proud they are of the other, the "The way you put it, it still seems punk rock to me," talking about how good it is that FCG's found a reason to live, FCG reassuring Ashton that they'll tell 'em if they might freak out (and how Ashton should tell 'em if they feel like they're about to do the same), Ashton calling themself a genius for deciding to bring FCG to Jrusar when they first found them, just--

I just love their sorta sibling-esque friendship

He has been dead for three decades and he is being mourned again he is being tormented again for something he was unfortunate enough to be a part of in his very short life.
