Wether
Do you depend on the Weather/Whether to figure out your plan for the day? Then let's ponder how these two little words or homonyms are the dictators of our decision making in life and the journeys therein; the mere fact that they sound a like yet mean different things is profound to the impacts they have on ones ability to function. It is amazing how much the Weather controls the day to day things we do in life. Rain, sleet , hail snow , wind ,rain ,hot or cold . All determine if it's doable. What is more amazing is that a good day or bad day determines whether or not we will be pleasant or outside of ourselves. So no matter what the Weather/Whether It makes for good conversation, observation and determinations about what to do. Think feel, and act. So whether you think so or not Weather /Whether is a big deal. In the realm of possibilities of things that govern our lives. Who'd of thought it would be Weather/Whether. So now you know that who we are ,where we are ,and what we ought and ought not be is all regulated by the Weather/whether. We all need to pay closer attention to the forecast and not let the Weather/Wether get the best of us.

Seeking Wisdom
Welcome to the Connecting to Community (C2C) iPad class of 2014! Many thanks to AARP Foundation, OATS (Older Adults Technology Services), Senior Planet, Family Matters and Comcast for sponsoring this amazing program. We, iPad class 2013, learned to use a number of social networks, among them Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Tumblr. I followed President Obama on Facebook and sent him a post and got a post back! I learned to tweet on Twitter and found one of my nieces who was living in Germany! As you can see I am blogging on Tumblr. Tumblr is my most favorite social network. We learned how to search on Safari for our various interest and hobbies such as religion, art, cooking, music, butterflies, flowers, fish and you name it, you can search for it on Safari. We found all manner of applications in the App Store and learned to download and use them. The best part of the program was meeting and making new friends and the camaraderie that was formed among the group. I miss my classmates and the class sessions. We all at one time or another encountered challenges but we were able to overcome them with the help of our very patient and capable trainers and helpful classmates. You too will probably have some obstacles, but understand that our very patient and dedicated trainers will walk you through it. If you should have an after class problem and are unable to reach your trainers feel free to contact the 2013 class, hopefully we can put together and make available a contact list of volunteers. Again, welcome iPad class 2014 and get ready to make some new friends and enjoy this very fun journey into the tech world as you connect to community. You are going to be pleasantly surprised at how much and how quickly you will learn. Bon Voyage! Thanks again to AARP, OATS, Senior Planet, Family Matters and Comcast for caring and thanks for your generosity!

Missing You 2/13/14
Hello c2c family. What happened last night! Didn’t expect all his snow. I hope everyone is snuggled up, warm, and safe. I miss all of u a lot. It’s like withdrawal for chocolate! I had a lot of obstacles during the past 6 months from being nervous about the class, taking care of my 84year old mom (which I finally got in home care approved for her just in Jan.,to my job being terminated( got a new job go to orientation on 2/20/14 god willing and a lot of other things going on to. Not complaining, just need to let everyone know put God first and He will work it out. I even got a final blessing of $900 I didn’t see that one coming the way it did, but that’s how God works I’m so grateful and humbled. That God gave me the strength to push on, and He got me through all of this and I didn’t miss not one class . I pray the best for all of you! Just had to let you know things happen, everyone’s life isn’t all roses, but it’s what you do, you always have a choice, I chose GOD and look what He did for me.
