I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT TIBS TRYING TO FLIRT WITH ALLURA!

I usually skip his bits when I rewatch Vox Machina (cause oh boy...I just cant deal with that) but asking Allura on a date (with Kima and Grog), just fucking broke me, I must’ve scrubbed that from my brain!

ep 5: the trick about falling

- first role is vax's sexy, sexy intimidation role. it's a nat20 because of his bisexual power.

- vex speaks Undercommon and grog's comment is "that's real pretty". vex/grog is underrated.

- the gang watches clarota eat a man's brains straight from his skull, and they say "wow that was so cool".

- grog drops his rage, gets two AOO on him, then falls unconscious. the whole sequence was beautiful.

- i zoned out for most of the fight, there was something about lava and acid.

- grog is shirtless, vax can't stare at his pecs all day, but vex speaks up and says enthusiastically, "i certainly can". why wasn't vex/grog canon.

- as happens in life, liam doesn't realize until after combat has finished that he has some kind of acid resistant item.

ep 4: attack on the duergar warcamp

- ASH-O-LEEEEEEEEEE!!!! PIKE!!!!!!

- and she gets a nat20 for her first roll!!! it's what she deserves.

- they turn to scanlan, of all people, to do an insight check to see if clarota is lying to them.

- it wouldn't be an early CR episode without the feedback on the mics.

- i completely forgot CR used to do giveaways mid-stream.

- this episode has had the worst sound issues by far.

- LAURA BAILEY'S FIRST MID-GAME APPEARANCE.

- i am furiously taking notes on how to bard well from scanlan. i genuinely look up to how clever he is.

- the bard-envy is real. i need a way to incorporate his buzzer sound into my text-based game.

- grog's first HDYWTDT. matt's descriptions were so gorey, caleb's spree in the sanitorium wishes it could!

ep 3: strange bedfellows

- everyone takes the opportunity to slap grog in the face, as they should.

- vex'ahlia is feeling the ruthlessness and blood thirst, it's a good look on her

- travis wearing the x-ed out sunglasses, he looks as cool as he's always been.

- this grog "revival" scene is a cruel foreshadowing to all the resurrection rituals they'll have this campaign.

- nothing is more iconic than grog's 6 int score.

- scanlan truly is a jack of all trades, he fills so many roles for vox machina. i stand by my statement that he is the MVP for the campaign.

- and so ends the flying carpet... (unless??)

- the ladies defect from the men. all is as it should be.

- i'm seeing much more keyleth/vex team-up this time around... vexleth intensifies.

- tiberius is anti-feminist because he steals the carpet back from kiki and vex.

- clarota's introduction. doomed from the start.

- scanlan shorthalt wins over clarota the mindflayer with sexual healing.

ep 2: into the greyspine mines

- "scanlan make you feel good. scanlan make you feel real, real good." the first song of rest in this campaign.

- first appearance of the flying carpet!

- after they try all these elaborate schemes, scanlan is like "what're e trying to do? you want me to walk up to the front door?"

- the dwarf silencing tiberius, the true mvp.

- liam is quiet compared to the other players so far, cue salt at all the people who say he takes up too much time.

- keyleth, with low charisma, is turned into a dwarf in order to deceive. out comes the original scandinavian accent.

- "good sir dwarf, clearly we are idiots."

- vax: "now i know that we are a bit stupid." - vex: "but we fight well."

- liam, staring directly into the camera: "this game has consequences!" after they completely fuck it up with dwarf.

- they meet their first elf in kraghammer and vex immediately straightens her posture. bby girl ily.

- vex'ahlia casts Bartering.

- "and a troll dick." "no, that's gone. it was used very well."

- PROFESSOR GROG

- the low rolls this episode! the vex and keyleth teamwork! i love seeing their friendship.

- scanlan: "i hate goblins."

- matt's hastily scrawled map on a scrap of paper. adorable.

- vax: "i saw what it did to my sister... do i'm going to stab it in the face."

- keyleth hasn't turned into a rhinoceros yet, it just hasn't been the right time. but she will eventually turn into a dragon.

- vax uses his action to throw a snail over a waterfall "toodaloo, motherfucker!"

- vax only refers to the enemies by curses, "motherfucker" "shitface" etc

- travis truly enjoys the hell out of himself playing grog, good for him.

- the amount of snacking they do in this campaign. bring back the snacking.

- scanlan lets out his "girlish" scream and vax cries "no one touches the gnome!" and then gets the HDYWTDT.

- alternative title for this episode: in which grog turns into a turnip.

- vex makes the enemy drop to their knees in surrender, as any queen would.

-grog is still a turnip.

ep 1: arrival at kraghammer

- i missed them so much. i forgot how young they all are in this. also forgot about how wild liam's hair is in this lmao.

- kraghammer is so much fun!

- keyleth is a doll, protect her. travis has so much fun with grog. i have fun with him too.

- i miss the how physically close and affectionate liam and laura are as the twins T_T

- keyleth and percy with their comment cards! they're adorable!

- laura gets the first nat 1 of the campaign trying to make a charisma check, and marisha gets the first nat 20 on a performance check. amazing.

- keyleth: "i'm a bear"

- the way keyleth remembers to turn in the comment cards before they leave.

- THE START OF SCANLAN'S SHENANIGANS: TURNING INVISIBLE TO BREAK AND ENTER INTO A HOUSE.

- "You are now standing in the foyer of House Grayspine."

- "WHAT ARE YOU DOING SCANLAN?" "I don't know. Give me 20 minutes."

- to be honest this is the origins of sam playing a rogue in campaign two.

- "you can call him percy."

- all tiberius has done this episode is try to break into an arcane shop and kill two dwarves. he's actually worse this time around.

- this first battle map though!! the paper map with the minis, this is true d&d.

- keyleth's intimidation check, she rolls a 4 T_T

- "can i inspire myself?" "because you're scanlan, i'll say yes. you have such a high opinion of yourself that you can inspire yourself."

- scanlan get's the first How Do You Want To Do This with his lightning.

- "just promise me you'll tell pike about this." i'm so ready for the pikelan journey.

- IT'S SUCH A CUTE FIRST EPISODE I LOVE THEM <3

campaign one rewatch

since campaign two is coming to an end and i have mostly negative feelings about it atm, i thought i'd rewatch campaign one and take myself back to how i fell in love with the show <3
