YOU’RE TALLER NOW / JASON & XANDER ---- @xander-knightley

Living in this post-apocalyptic world made everything that was taken for granted stand out. For example, the thousand different chips lined in more than one aisle of a convenience store. The cheap statements shirts that have ‘I  ♥ grandma’ across the chest. The asian noodles that only those who can read whatever’s on the wrapper buy it. Now people are willing to kill to have at least one of those goods. Walking down the aisle of this store while his squad checked the rest of the mall, Jason drowned in the heavy feeling of seeing the shelves empty. The food he came across with were either expired or spoiled by rodents. He feared he might be walking out of that store empty-handed.

When he heard the glass door’s metal hinges creak, Jason almost assumed those would be his friends. He was about to call out, report that there was nothing to loot there, when the figure that had gone through the entrance came to view. From the angle Jason was in, it’d be difficult for the stranger to spot him, if he stayed silent. But then Jason got a good look of the stranger’s face, from an angle that made him look oddly familiar. The stranger reminded him of someone Jason didn’t take for granted at all. Of a boy who, thanks to the generosity of the Jeon family, had become a brother to him. “Xander?” He whispered under his breath, unsure whether he should show himself or not.
