he’s intently watching the femme as she speaks, moves- exists closest to him, and he’s thankful he gets to do so. even as they travel together, taking in the magnitude of the world, it’s all outdone by such a beautiful soul. understanding he was rough around the edges, jordan would rather hold his distance not to get too attached. it was possible to reassigned in a heartbeat, and she’d need him forget about him. “do you have an exact place you’d want to run away too? you’ll have all the time and the money you need. you don’t have to include me if you don’t want to.” allowing for a moment, the notion that they’d have time away, and they’d be different people without stringent rules that felt all consuming.

she feels immediate confusion at the notion that she wouldn’t want him to come with her, followed by the realization that she can’t remember the last time she was truly alone anywhere. there was definitely a time in her life when she wished she could just... walk out to the shops or plan a day without having to be followed around or guarded, especially when she was a teenager. she felt it sometimes now, but not as strong. she’d gotten used to it for the most part, it was simply part of her reality. her family was not famous, most people wouldn’t recognize her on the street, but the boudin’s were very rich, and that was enough to have to adjust herself to accepting that she’d never truly get to just be alone. at least not for a long, long time. “ who says i would not want to include you?? ” she asked her tone light and playful, but she meant it. it was hard to imagine him not being with her. “ if i could truly be alone any place in the world, i think i would pick somewhere not too warm, not too cold... i do love germany. i always have fun in hamburg... it is difficult to choose, honestly, ”
