“ i can’t let go of this. ”
Bringing his eyes up, Hunter cocked an eyebrow at his brother. "Is there..." He began, mulling carefully over his words. Talks were never a regular occurrence in the Clarington household, and were things Hunter was still working on. "Is there a reason for that, Lucas?"

So I guess this is it for the next few years, huh?

Any chance of graduating early? 'Cause I can't imagine this place's got something to teach me about Dominant-submissives that I don't already know.
You do not have to sound so excited you know. Welcome, Lucas. I am glad to see you, and to see that you made it in one piece. I can see the trip did nothing to dull your personality. That is a positive. Come and see me when you have a moment, brother. My door is open.

How are we feeling about movie night, tonight?
Tumblr media
Any takers? Anyone knows what we’d be watching?
[ @bridgeportstarters ]
I’ve been toying with the idea of going, I think I will. It’s better than being bored at least. Besides, might as well celebrate the last night of freedom before classes start again. I don’t know what we’re watching this year, last year it was a comedy, “We’re the Millers” I think. At least they pick decent movies most of the time. I’m Emmy Hayward, Domme. You’re Clarington’s brother, right?

Family Visit. @bridgeportclarington
Luke took a deep breath, just before the door opened. As it did, he couldn’t help but give him a once over, his eyes stopping on the cane for a millisecond. He hadn’t know exactly what he would find and he was both surprised by the cane and relieved to see his brother looking overall well. He smiled as he met his eyes again, “you too,” he said. As Hunter reached out, he hesitated, just for a moment, opening his mouth to say he got it, then thought better of it. He shouldn’t underestimate his brother, right? He gave him the bag with the bagels, keeping hold of the coffees, and closing the door behind them as they made their way in, “You look good too,” he said, honestly.
He followed him to the living room, “I’m just fine. Bit bored of the years ahead here, but otherwise. I brought an extra drink in case Seb was around, actually.” He informed, so Hunter knew why he wouldn’t be drinking it, as he put the coffees down on the coffee table, and took a seat, wondering then if he should’ve asked Hunter if he needed something. Crap. He was really bad at this. He pushed the thought aside, crossing his leg, ankle over knee, as he looked at him and smiled again, a strange emotion blocked in his throat. Hunter had always been invincible to him, growing up. He was his big brother, superman. Getting trophies, and being the pride of their father even when he didn’t show it, Luke could see it. “What about you? How are things?” He hadn’t been ready to listen before, but he was now, and he hoped he wasn’t too late.
Lucas’ once-over of him, and the slowing of that gaze at his cane, did not escape Hunter’s notice. It had dawned on him upon accepting his brother’s offer that the two had not seen much of each other since his accident, and he supposed some part of him had always known why that was. It wasn’t something he had dealt with necessarily, the reactions of his family. It was hard enough overcoming the public perception, wondering how his father might explain away his absence, and his sudden disappearance not only from the public eye, but from all the things he had once been known for. Overcoming his own feelings about the matter was an entirely different beast, and one he couldn’t yet bring himself to fully open up about. “Thank you.” He replied to Lucas’ compliment, nodding stiffly as he turned to make his way back into his suite.
Hunter listened while Lucas spoke, mentally responding to all that was said but willing himself to withhold his commentary until the other was finished speaking. “Thank you for thinking of him. He is asleep at the moment, but I have no doubt he will be grateful once he wakes.” Taking in a breath, his gaze fell upon his younger brother and while part of him wanted to make some sort of stern commentary, he couldn’t bring himself to do it. “I know you are not pleased about being here. The majority of us are not of much different opinion. However, we should trust the value of what is here while we have the opportunity. Take advantage of and utilize the resources.” He explained, rather gently compared to his general tone. Naturally. Lucas asked the question Hunter had practically been dreading, and he paused to allow himself time to consider his answer. “Things are well, thank you. As well as they can be, at the very least. I am here, I have the opportunity to graduate on time. Those are two of the most important things. I have Sebastian now, officially. That has been quite the whirlwind, but one I am grateful for nonetheless.” Hunter’s answer conspicuously avoided answering the question he was certain Lucas had been hinting at in asking. “And how have you been, Lucas? Really?”

Family Visit. @bridgeportclarington
After his walk with Jenna, Luke swung back by the cafe, on his way back to the Mason Hall, having got Hunter to text him his suite number. He picked up a couple of coffees, in case Sebastian was also around, and a couple of bagels, bringing them back up with him. He was in a good mood, even though he truly felt like being here was like being held back from continuing on with his life. At least once he finished his major. He had spent years unlearning some of the things he had been taught about the Dominant-submissive relationship with his father, and relearning them on his own, which had led him to deeply study its history, techniques, and researches, so school felt kind of pointless. He was hoping he’d be wrong though.
As he got to the right floor, and the right door, he knocked, and waited, smiling when the door opened, “hey, Hunt. Long time, no see.” It had been a couple of years since they’d really talked. And now Luke realized he had missed his older brother.
It was no surprise to Hunter that Lucas had finally made his way to Bridgeport, after all, despite the distance between them he was more than aware of his brothers’ age(s). When he had finally come online and saw Lucas’ post, he had known immediately the time to see the other was  now. Hunter appreciated the offer of coffee, something he hadn’t been drinking as much of recently as an attempt to earn himself a bit more restful sleep- something that did not come easily to him. It wasn’t surprising to him that his brother wasn’t exactly happy about his time at the academy, just as he hadn’t been when he’d arrived initially. What was surprising, however, was the fact that his opinion had changed, though it had taken some time. Deep down, he held the hope that the same would be true for Lucas.
The knock at his door roused Hunter from his thoughts, and he stood from his position on the couch slowly, taking hold of his cane which had been resting nearby. He moved slowly, though with purpose, and once he made it to the door and had pulled it open, he offered a small but present smile. “Lucas, it’s good to see you.” He said, eyeing the bags and coffee in the others’ hand. “Here, let me help with that.” Hunter offered, extending a hand to take hold of one of the coffees and a bag. “Please, come in. You look well, how have you been?”
