“It's the first snowfall of the year, too! Isn't this exciting?” Bulma smiled, wrapping her arm around Vegito's shoulder, finding comfort in the shared heat.

Fusions had always been a strange concept, but she felt safe knowing that both of them were in there somewhere. Even if their identities blend. “Say, why don't you rest awhile? I'm sure it beats being out here, freezing to death!”

“Well, next time, just say that!” Bulma huffed, folding her arms tightly across her chest. He's lucky he's still cute despite having a motor mouth. She's not one to admit defeat, even if that means doubling down and defending her own poor choices.

“Say… I've never encountered a hedgehog that talks before. What's your deal?” Her prior anger receded back into curiosity, almost as if someone had flipped a switch. “You got a name, too?”

"Excuse me? I just don't get called cute a lot, I never said anything to offend you. I just asked your name."

He could only squint at her when being threatened. He won't lash back, this woman is clearly confused. However he is biting his tongue.

“Well, I should hope so! It wasn't easy untangling all these lights.”

Christmas had always been magical, especially growing up. Now though? It was a time of stress, weeks of planning and when that was out of the way, a time of reflection and quality time spent with her loved ones.

“You look a little lost, would you like to come in out of the cold?” She observed, wrapping her jumper tighter around herself in an effort to stave off the cold. “I'm sure there's plenty of mead and coffee in the pantry, heh.”

“w—woah, you're a big guy, aren't you?”

“J-just stay back! I'm warning you!”

“Well, Christmas is supposed to be for family and friends, but all it feels like right now is an obligation.” Not to mention a chore. Maybe it would be different if Vegeta was here, but he wasn’t so she had to shoulder it alone. Sipping at the hot chocolate, Bulma is only too happy for them to take over, once again, keeping an ear out in case anything new is spared. 

“You seem to have an agreement for everything,” Bulma pointed out, although not unkindly. She was rather grateful to have such an attentive listener! “A hermit, eh? I wasn’t expecting that, to be honest. I don’t think you’re dangerous, but I kinda imagine you’d ride a motorcycle and cruise along the cities without a care in the world.”

Oh, if only she could do that! Nowadays, she had way too many obligations to truly travel, it wasn’t like she couldn’t afford such luxuries, but her work at the lab was finally getting underway after a year's hiatus.

“I’m kind of envious.” She chuckled, then her eyes widened in surprise, her mouth quirked into an 'o’. “From outer space, like an alien? Ooh, are you another Saiyan? Please say you are! I’d love to see my Trunks get another friend!” She’s pleading now, her hands clasped together, momentarily forgetting about her drink. “So, which planet are you from? Is it far?” 

"I can imagine that being troublesome especially during this time of year." Atieno observes the way that the hot chocolate is prepared, noticing the way the smell of the hot chocolate really started to fill up as the heated milk in poured in. The mugs were starting to look particularly appetizing and they found themself anticipating the sheer taste of the drink.

They gave a bit of a sympathetic nod. "Hm, real the traffic can be incredibly difficult for people to deal with. So I can understand staying close to home for sheer convenience these days. "

Atieno recognized a mischievous look when they saw one - and they couldn't help but suspect their host was likely to get into all kinds of questions. Her next words only seemed to confirm the instinct that they had.

"I tend to be a bit of an enigma by default, yes." They chuckled at the question.

"I guess hermit by default is a bit of the closer answer." Although they may have done some criminal things ... that was a thing best kept to themself as far as they were concerned.

" If you'd believe me.. I'm really from deep space more than anywhere else which is why I seem pretty unfamiliar to the area in all my roaming about. "

“TCH. Well, I pegged you as the sort.” Only after he refused to eat her, that is.

“It depends. If I have my friends with me, then it's not so much as scary as it's annoying.” Bulma muttered, crossing her hands over her chest. “I mean, I'm not exactly a fighter, either, dummy!” Still. She could work with this. Maybe he knew where the Dragon Ball was. “Hey, have you noticed anything unusual?” A pause. "Like, seen something that looks like this?" Her hands made quick work to produce the golden coloured orb and when the light hit, it glowed almost ominously.

"No — Er, I am meaning, yes —! I... I am... friend-ly. Not... violent," he commented, swallowing thickly. She almost sounded offended. He didn't want to offend — but, all the same, he wasn't about to grind her bones into dust, or anything else scary like that...! In his own defense, he did think the young woman looked very nice — 'good', even — but to make any sort of remark of the sort felt inappropriate, so he kept it to himself. Instead, he focused upon the topic at hand. Or, rather, the topic at sight, because there was no physical contact.

"Used to being kidnapped? O — that is sounding most horrible," he said, expression somehow drooping even more than it already naturally did. "It is not being right. No-one is deserving such thing."

“Excuse me?!”

“Who taught you manners, a street rat?” Oh, she's more than offended. Was this punk calling her ugly? “Bulma Briefs. You've gotta watch your mouth, or I'll wipe the smile from it!”

It wasn't exactly what he had expected. He crossed his arms looking at her.

"Cute isn't what I was thinking of. Who might you be?"

“Ugh, I know, right? I hate having an empty house.” Bulma admitted with a sigh. “Top shelf… Hm. There we are!” The mugs are filled with half a tablespoon of chocolate powder before heated milk is carefully poured into the mixture. If only she had whipped cream, then it would've been perfect.

“Sounds about right. I used to travel a lot in my youth too. It was a lot of fun, but the traffic nowadays is so bad I'd rather stay at home!” As the mugs were placed down on the table, she couldn't help but reflect on the information she'd gathered. Of course, being a good host came first, yet…

She couldn't deny she found the stranger's tales fascinating. Who were they really? Travelling long stretches of roads for days at a time, getting lost around a well-known area… It certainly sounded grand enough to dig deeper.

“Ah, I thought you might. You seem like the type to have a good time.” Bulma grinned, a flash of mischief lingered in her eyes. “So, you're kinda an enigma, right? I mean, the only people who do that are either criminals or 'hermits'.” A pause. “So, which are you?”

"Suppose it works out well for the both of us then." It's nice to be able to provide company to someone who seems to need it. Benefiting from some hospitality at the same time is all the more rewarding that way.

"Kind of. I had already been in the city for a bit - but I tend to keep on the move regularly. So it's hard for me to tell when it's .. me traveling from close or further distance. It tends to blend together for me after a while."

The warm air, the delicious scents was enough for them to find themself genuinely intrigued at how everything smelt.

"Oh.. I do like hot chocolate. It's really delicious... makes sense that they would crave the stuff. "

"Aw, aren't you the cutest hedgehog I've ever seen!"

She's confused, but has the spirit.
