Sutton plopped down in the sand next to her sister, moving to look up at the sky too. "Hey, that one looks like a bunny!" she pointed out at the cloud. "Isn't there lore about cloud shapes or something? Or am I just thinking about it because of that one episode in Avatar the Last Airbender where they have to save the town from the volcano by bending the clouds into shapes that determine the town is going to be destroyed?"

"At least put the ice on it, yeah?" Sutton replied. "Before you end up with your face three times as big as a normal face."
"Yes, I'm sure. It was poor aim and my lowering of the punching glove," Lyla reiterated once more, slightly more insistently, "Honestly, I'll be fine. I'm a tough gal, Sutton. You know me."

Axel had just finished purchasing food when he noticed Sutton sitting near buy, he walked over and sat beside them. “Glad that brat’s out of our hair now hey?” He asked, stabbing his fork into the fries he was eating. “Copped myself a detention though.” He grumbled as he shovelled a forkful of cheese fries into his mouth.

Jackson had been pleased with Sutton’s performance on her test, and glad that she’d actually managed to get something out of the Trojan dealer. To be honest, he wouldn’t have been surprised if she hadn’t been able. Not for lack of trying— it was simply that torture was a careful art that could easily tip either way. He wouldn’t have failed her even if the info hadn’t come forth, but it was certainly a bonus. He’d been looking for effort, moreso. And initiative— and she’d certainly given him that. It had only shown him that perhaps she was ready for something of a side-task, and the rest of the gang had seemed to think so as well, despite her only being a prospect. But that would work to her strength in this case. “Sutton, you can come in now,” he said from behind the door after she’d knocked, having just finished something else he was working on. “Congratulations on your first torture,” he said with a half-grin, most always reveling in the concept of violence. “And even better that it was successful.”

Sutton rolled out of bed, exiting her bedroom. She had given her siblings all a key to her place when she moved, so when Keiko gave her a heads up, Sutton didn't care to get out of bed right away. "McBreakfast better come with some McCoffee," she said, rubbing her eyes. Sutton gathered up some papers that were scattered on the counter for her next article and put a empty cup of tea in the sink to make room for the two of them to eat. "I will never understand how you're so chipper before coffee and 8 am."
closed for Sutton @mcnstercus "I brought us McBreakfast," Keiko called out, letting her sister know she'd arrived. She'd given the heads up that she was coming early, so she figured she'd bring some greasy McDonalds takeout breakfast foods to really make the most out of it. It was only eight in the morning, but she'd been up since before six to get in some early morning gym time. "Get your sleepy butt out here or I'm going to come in there and jump on the bed," she yelled, setting the bag on the kitchen counter.

When he’d gone with Lettie for her to pick out a pup, he hadn’t planned on bringing home one for himself. But at the very beginning, he’d picked up the not so little Newfoundland puppy and simply...not wanted to put her down when it was time to go. And just like that— he had a dog. He was thrilled with his new little buddy, even if he hadn’t yet decided on a name for her. But perhaps one of the things he was most excited for was the meeting of his new puppy and Goose. By law, the two dogs had to be best friends, after all their owners were such. Him and Sutton had agreed to have the pups meet in a more neutral area, also known as their local park, and now Desmond was on the look out for two familiar faces in the form of Sutton and Goose. When he spotted them, his excitement grew, and he wasted no time in standing up. His little pup followed suit, all too eager to make a new friend, tail wagging in excitement. “Goose! Sutton!” he called out in greeting. “Come meet the new kid on the block.”

Sara had stayed late at the office, painstakingly reviewing several of the new files that had been sent through from the other site. Her father had been sending her multiple emails throughout the night as well, mostly questioning when she was going to bring a nice gentleman back to Boston. He knew about Sutton because Sara had told him but when it came to upholding values for his little girl she had to be perfect. And being anything except straight with a man he liked was not perfect. At first, it had bothered her and she’d become sour-faced at her desk but as time had passed she’d reminded herself that she had become independent because they had driven her away. Not the other way around. Well, independent to an extent. “I didn’t realise you’d be so eager.” Sara teased softly as she hooked Sutton’s coat onto the stand by the door. “It’s a good job I’m completely ready to go.” She added as she moved through the open space toward the marble coated kitchen, tugging her silk robe around her otherwise bare body as she went. Without even asking the older woman she poured a mug of coffee from the machine that heated up at the same time every morning and placed it in front of Sutton. “Good mornin’ baby.” She breathed as she rubbed the blonde’s shoulders before leaning in and kissing her softly. “You know where the milk is. Put your phone on the table.” She instructed, her mouth lingering over Sutton’s. She met her eyes almost daringly before pulling back and beaming. “How does eggs sound? Scrambled, fried, poached. However, you want me. Or the eggs.” @nebulaofmuses

"It was okay, though our editor hated all my ideas for a story, so now I have to spend tonight doing more research and coming up with ideas that she'll like," Sutton replied with a sigh. "In other news, I got some Chinese food, enough for like five, so please share with me."
Taelyn had only gotten home about half an hour ago. She took Harry out on a walk for a few minutes before she found herself back in the house. She was sitting there venting to Harry about her day when she heard the front door open. She wasn't sure which of her roommates were coming in but she got up from her seated position on the couch to greet them at the door. Walking up to the foyer with Harry following closely behind, she smiled when she saw Sutton coming through the door. "Hey, hey," she said. "How was work?" @mcnstercus

"Oh, I meant to ask!" Sutton said, while on a walk with her sister, coffee in hand. "Did you end up getting that job you wanted? You know the one I thought was cool because you can use your psychic abilities. Do you use your psychic abilities for that?"

who: @sutton-matthews where: baked comfort, crescent cove when: friday, may 29, 2020 7:30p.m.
Oliver was nervous. More than nervous. There was a hollowness in his gut that threatened to choke him. He’d gone his entire life without knowing a single thing about his mother. He didn’t even know her name. She hadn’t wanted him and so, Oliver didn’t want her, in any form or shape. But when his 31st birthday had rolled around, Oliver had realized that not knowing about his mother meant not knowing half of himself and that wasn’t something he was prepared to deal with. So, he’d done the one thing he could think of: bought one of those DNA testing kits. Which had brought him -- seated at a table at Baked Comfort, picking at a double chocolate muffin, and waiting to meet his half sister.

Sutton gave a small smile at the other in responded. Sutton bent down, letting the dog smell her hand before giving her some scratches. "It's fine, really," she told the other. Sutton picked up the frisbee and gave it a small throw for the dog to run after. "How old is she?"
a child like laugh left her body as she picked up the frisbee for the dog, throwing it across the park with her full body weight. meadow watched with a graceful smile on her face as the dog started running back to her, but rather than stopping at her feet it continued until it dropped the plastic plate at the feet of the stranger. "petals are you serious!" she called out, shaking her head to get the fringe out of her face. "i'm so sorry - she's over friendly."

Isaac had purposely been drowning himself in work and exercise. Anything to keep his mind off his personal life, seeing as it was a bit of a shit show at the moment. It was his only defense when it came to stuff like that. However, when it came to Sutton, he would always make some kind of time for some sort of fun. Especially because she worked too hard, too. That’s how he got talked into a movie night, not that he needed much convincing. The movie was in, opening credits playing, a bowl of popcorn, a bag of Twizzlers, wine, soda, and water on the table, and the couch was surrounded by blankets and a couple of pillows. “Sutt, get your butt over here before the movie starts. The remote is too far away for me to pause it.” Isaac called. @suttonfitzgerald

“The instructions of The Game of Possibilities were explained and Bri rotated to the front of her Luxor chaperons. Whether or not the rest of the day had been going smoothly, she had always liked a game of pretend. Standing before the two Luxor students, Bri took ahold of the marker; the first item on the platter that caught her attention, in preparation to come up with a silent use for the object, when the cap unexpectedly fell loose. Sweeping the marker upward to begin conveying her made up function for the marker, the felt tip swiped a thick, black line across her designer top. Eyes falling down to the catastrophe, she let out a shrill scream and threw the marker at Sutton’s head. “That’s IT!” She demanded, pointing to them is if they were the one to cause it. Swinging her accusing finger to Axel, she continued. “If one of you,” she snarled, closing in on them, finger still pointing, “doesn’t find ‘Luxor’s dry cleaner,’” she said in mocking tone, “immediately, then I’M gonna LOSE IT!”
Axel watched as all the students played this dumb pretend game. He honestly didn’t expect that his student was going to participate because she seemed to good for this kind of thing but was pleasantly surprised when he saw her get up and off his ass. Finally. He watched as she picked up a marker, wondering what cheesy scenario she was about to act out with it before he watched as marker swiped up her shirt, leaving a stain. Axel immediately broke out into intense laughter, nothing could stop him from how thrilled watching her make that mistake made him. It wasn’t until Bri whipped the marker at Sutton’s head that Axel’s joy turned into rage. “Listen here you disrespectful little shit!” He growled feeling protective of Sutton, before deciding he probably needed to tone it down before getting himself suspended, lord knew he did not want to be home with his dad. He pulled their student out into the hallway and looked at Sutton, eyes basically begging them for an answer on what to do here. “I’m not getting you any fucking dry cleaning.” He hissed out quietly. “And I’m not about to let you bully Sutton into it either.” He said glaring angrily at the younger.

As this boy next to her relaxed into the conversation, Sutton wondered where the hell he’d been all year. She’d seen Desmond around, but he never really interacted with anyone. To be fair, she barely had either, but Desmond was kind of this enigma. Floating in and out of classes. So this chance to get to know him was one she took happily.
“God I just, feel like the first thing you think of when you’re in a house full of strangers about to be completely ass naked, you’d wanna lock your door.” Of course, Sutton never had the full experience of high school romance. There was one boy, who kissed her on a dare at dance camp. But that was a hurried peck under a tree where someone had thrown a dirty pair of dance pants on the last dare. Did that really count?
“I thought prom was fun,” she admitted with a shrug. “Although it was a lot of money for a dress i spilled a drink all over before the night ended.” Looking at Desmond she grinned. “I can see that actually. You walking into a bookstore full tuxedo on….”
No one really noticed Desmond, and he didnt entirely blame them. Why would they? There wasn’t anything particularly eye catching about him, and he didn’t have much to offer people. But with just him and this girl alone it’s easier. He’s always found one on one conversations to be much better than a group. Besides, you got to learn more about each other that way.
He chuckled before continuing on with their conversation. “I mean I didn’t lock this door, obviously. Maybe I’m just as bad.” Then he turned the lightest shade of pink, realizing how his words could be taken. “Not that- I mean I wasn’t doing anything like that in here! Just reading, yeah.” Perhaps he should take back that thought of being better at one on one conversations. Now he was going to make a fool out of himself in front of a pretty girl.
“Oh I didn’t mean- I mean I’m sure prom was great for other people. It just wasn’t completely my scene.” He didn’t want her to think he was bashing it or her fun. Then he gave another little laugh. “The bookstore wasn’t that surprised to be fair. It wasn’t the first time I’d hidden there when I was supposed to be at a dance.” But his mom always wanted him to go, and he didn’t want to disappoint her.

Jenna was a loss for what to do. Things weren’t progressing and things were falling through. Jenna needed information off the phones, and she needed it now. She had tried as best as she could to keep her friends out of the mess she was getting involved in, not wanting to put their lives on the line. But she needed information, and the best way to get that information was by going to Sutton who had a person for every possible thing in the world. Jenna would never live down the guilt of getting her best friend involved in something so dangerous, but she knew that more people would die if she didn’t. Knocking on Sutton’s door, Jenna tried to stand tall, but she was finding it difficult. As the door swung open, all that composure went away as Jenna blurted, “Sutton, I need your help.” @suttonfitzgerald
