Heya it's Reen (@legendaryskyscale) here! Can you ramble about Vanora and any other Courtier you have? :D

ohhh i absolutely can!! I have so many Courtiers though, I'm gonna have to only ramble about a few or else I'd be writing an essay's worth! :') Vanora never really gets a spotlight so I'm very happy to ramble on about them! <3 [She / They!]

(Apologies for the close-up only, she's not in game currently so I just have her old icon right now! But her appearance is staying the same!) She's technically a Prince/ss of the Court because their mother is a Duchess, but she's also a Duchess herself! (Although, within her mother's Court. Lynessa's Court situation is very fun as well!) Their main schtick is that she's a little multiclassed; she's a Reaper first and foremost, but she picked up some Mesmer magic in order to take on a murdered Mender's appearance and voice to get closer to fresh saplings. She uses this so they trust her, but she doesn't take every sapling she meets. She likes to be very selective about it and gravitates towards more well-spoken saplings who show a lot of understanding. Once she's gotten them out of the Grove and into the woods, (there's a number of ways she's used to get them out there,) she drops the illusion and almost instantly turns to force. It's a very brutal kind of betrayal, and she thinks it helps her convert them faster. They've got a very mothlike aesthetic, including the wings! Although, they're also just mesmer'd up for intimidation factor. Her mesmer effects are also moths instead of butterflies!

I'll tell you some about Lynessa too! ^^ [She / Her] She's an Engineer, no decided specialization yet. She really enjoys strife in general, so her Court has several Dukes & Duchesses, just so she can watch (and participate in) the constant power struggles. It is still ultimately her Court, because she's very capable of putting the others in their places. She's a stickler for "family sticking together," so she got all of her siblings into the Court in its earlier years. She's done the same with indoctrinating her children, and she's been on Coira's heels for years to get her little sister to join her Court as well. She's very ruthless and forceful in how she leads, and she likes to humiliate one of her fellows, Duke Varyen, by giving him missions better suited for fresh converts.

As a bonus, Vanora's brother and Lynessa's son, Zayvis! [He / Him] He's a power-based Reaper, and he's honestly a very sweet boy, he's just in the Court because his family is. He's a Knight in Vanora's Court, although he's not very liked by his family. They'd prefer him to be a lot more ruthless and they push his buttons on purpose a lot, but the truth is that he just loves napping in trees and making homemade candles a lot more than hurting people. He does eventually make it out of the Court thanks to some friends he makes, and he gets to open his own little candle shop in Lion's Arch!
