finally finished a Killian redraw, it's been 84 years... earlier renditions under the cut

After awhile of talking to Bess, Juliet had felt that she'd calmed down enough to call Killian. And she really needed to. He'd likely have been waiting all that time, but she hadn't even thought about the fact that she'd left her phone behind until it was too late. And she didn't dare ask Dane or Jason to use theirs. They needed them for news. And they didn't need to know any of her troubles right now either.

Bess excused herself, leaving Juliet with her phone. Thankfully Juliet was still the type of person to memorize phone numbers. Or, at least, some numbers.

Even despite the early hour the line only rang for a couple of seconds before Killian picked up. "Hey kiddo," Juliet greeted, her voice breaking a bit around the nickname. Maybe not as calmed down as she'd thought. "I'm sorry for not calling sooner. I didn't mean to leave my phone behind."

Why are we always pitting Captain Hooks against each other anyways??? J.M. Barrie's Captain Hook gave us over a century now of inspiration! Disney's animated Captain Hook set a precedent! Hook's Hook was iconic! Once Upon A Time's Hook was a multi-layered character with a beautiful redemption arc! Jake and the Neverland Pirates' Hook kept an entire shelf of extra hooks that served a variety of purposes! The Pirate Fairy's Hook was a unique spin on the tale and told a side of his story we don't frequently explore! Studio C's Hook was a witty parody! The Captain Hook at the stage production I saw was so good at ad-libbing whenever Peter Pan intentionally changed the lines to mess with him! Captain Hook is such a great character, so let's just celebrate him in every form we get!

The sound of waves crashing against rocks makes Hope’s shoulders instantly relax as she breathes in the salty air surrounding the area, her sandals plop onto the sand and it’s like she’s home again, jumping off of the last few steps of the jolly roger onto the sand below, but this place is much more different than storybrooke, and it both excites and saddens her. With a slow shake of her head, she focuses on her surroundings and glances around the beach, stopping once she sees a familiar face but that couldn’t be possible..could it? Before her brain responds, she’s running towards it, only to skid to a stop when she sees the man, he’s younger than she remembers, and Hope’s ready to apologize and start walking away, until of course her mouth decides to blurt out one word. “Papa?"

"I think it's possible for anyone to cut themselves on their sword! Suppose it's a also a good way to ensure your weapon hasn't dulled. So, as we can see," he holds up his bleeding finger. "I've kept mine well taken care of!" Of course the real reason being he just hasn't used it much. Both by choice and there being no real need to. He hadn't been in many fights and used to he considered that a fortunate thing, but, especially lately, he did quite enjoy the adrenaline that being in a duel or battle gave him. Especially when gaining the upper hand or winning. "Have you used your hook more than your sword?" He asks, quite curious.
