the sound of his heart rung in jon’s ears above all the ruckus among king’s landing. he remembered holding her in his arms like the sight was painted upon his eyelids, a nightmare swallowing him in his sleep so many nights. holding her the night they were together, and then when she was covered in blood, both images burned together in horrific heart ache. he’d never seen her without the snow behind her, but even without the white backdrop highlighting her red hair he still found himself captivated by her. “i...” was it supposed to be GOODBYE? i missed you. i’m sorry. “ygritte.” he had died twice before, he wondered if this would be the third time. this would be the first death he had seen coming, and embraced with open arms.

JORYA MORMONT RECENT HISTORY ;

3. 01 Valar Dohaeris. Jon and Jorya are brought into Mance’s camp. the ground shakes beneath giants footsteps. children through stones at them and jorya kicks one over, she is restrained once more. They are taken to a tent, in it sits a large man with waves of fiery red hair. ‘’i smell a c r o w’’ he mutters. jon kneels, in frustration Jorya kicks out again. Out of the shadows a man walks forward, the real Mance Rayder, older and withered but Mance Rayder she knew from Castle Black all those years ago. ‘’thank you for the gift lord of bones, you can leave us.’’ ‘’  what should i do with this one?’’ Jorya is hauled further inside the tent and presented to Mance, he holds her face steady and takes a good look, ‘’I haven’t seen you since you were a little girl’’ he grins, a mouth full of brown teeth. ‘’And I aint see you since you were all in b l a c k’’ 

3. 02 Dark wings dark words. Out on a wildling patrol,  Jon is free yet Jorya remains prisoner, ‘guest’ as Mance spins it. As they march through the snow they head towards Tormund and Ygritte who wait on news from a Warg. Jorya has seen them before, her cousin Alysane claims to be one, but Jon as not. ‘’Where were you this time?’’ Mance asks. ‘’Fist of the First men’’ he replies. Jorya looks to Jon, but his gaze is fixed on Orell, thats were the Nights Watch had been - where her father and sam and grenn and edd had been before they left. ‘’What did you see?’’ Mance continues. With a snicker Orell replies ‘’ Dead c r o w s’’. 

3. 03 Walk of Punishment. At the fist of t he first men, they find no crows, only the corpses of horses buried beneath a few days worth of snows. ‘’You said there were dead crows.’’ Ygritte comments. ‘’There was’’ Orell answers. Mance asks Jon how many men were at the fist ‘’about 300′’ ‘’you know what they are now’’ ‘’Its all the same to them, meat for there army’’ ‘’you think any got away?’ ‘’its not impossible, you dont go far betting against mormont, but dead or alive he took a big gamble coming north, and he lost. his best fighting men are dead, and whether he’s lord commander of the nights watch or a blue eyed corpse, hes a long way from home’’ Mance looks to Jorya, a stoic expression on his face ‘’tormund, climb the wall, take orell and 20 good men, take this one and lady mormont, shes’ no good to us now if her fathers dead but she knows the castles on the wall, shes been goin for eighteen years.’’

3. 04 And now is watch is ended.  Jorya travels with Tormund, Jon, Ygritte and Orell to the Wall. At Crasters Keep, Jeor Mormont is murdered.

3. 05 Kissed by fire. Now a reluctant member of Tormunds party, Jorya travels south to the wall. as they stop to make camp for the night, Jorya sits by Tormund whilst Orell questions Jon and Jorya about how many castles are manned, and how many men are at castle black.  Jorya lies and tells him that all the castles are manned and there are a thousand men at castle black waiting for them. Jon insists there are a thousand men at castle black which confuses Jorya as she believed he had turned traitor. As the argument gets heated, Jorya picks a blade from Tormund and stashes it in her sleeve, returning to firewood she has bundled in her arms. That night whislt most of the wildlings sleep, she uses the blade to cut her bindings, she moves silently throughout the camp, retrieving her axes from tormunds pack, she wakes jon ‘’ what are you doing’’ he hisses quietly. she begs him to come with her but he refuses. hurt, she flees the camp, slaying and burning the wildlings watching. The fire alerts Tormund and the others but Jorya is long gone. 

3. 06 The Climb. Jorya is travelling back to the Wall.

3. 07 The Bear and the Maiden Fair. Travelling back to the Wall.

3. 08  Second Sons. Travelling back to the Wall.

3. 09 Rains of Castamere. She is attacked by a Shadowcat, several days later makes it to Castle Black.

3. 10 Mhysa. jorya is recovering at Castle Black when Jon Snow returns.
