Chizoba (She/Her)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chizoba is a Pearlcatcher, hailing from the Southern Icefield. She's, at most, a temporary resident of the Wastes, but makes frequent crossings across the desert in her travels. She pull a large wagon of wares behind her, a small section folding out to form a temporary counter when she enters a town.
This familiarity with the Wastes has left her to become a familiar face within the Warrens, a welcome sight to many who dwell there. She commonly brings many wares from both the more populous sections of the Shifting Expanse, alongside from from the Sunbeam Ruins and even the Seas of a Thousand Currents.
Chizoba is a familiar enough face within the area that some residents have begun to overlook the exchange of coin with her, preferring instead to default back to the bartering and gifting economy they are more familiar with. As nice as that is, and as kind as the intentions are, Chizoba still attempts to keep careful track of who has given her what, and makes a note of transactions she would consider to be unequal. For all that the isolated clan doesn't bother with coin as much as possible, her status as a merchant makes Chizoba somewhat uncomfortable with it.
Most of these wares are not preishables, the Pearlcatcher instead choosing to sell various pieces of technology, antiques, and some of the valuable stones that come into her hands.
While she is skilled enough in her born element's magic to allow both for an easy way to keep cool in the desert, and to have a refined humanoid form, she uses it much less frequently than other, city-dwelling dragons. While being able to remove her Pearlcatcher traits - except, of course, for her pearl - from her humanoid form is a boon for business, that does not help nearly as much with travel.
As long as she much move her cart, and the space available allows for it, Chizoba tends to largely stay within her true, larger form in order to take advantage of the extra power that provides her.
