twitch stream? TWITCH STREAM?
okay y'all am working on getting my twitch account set up to stream sometime soon! i currently have 1 moderator ready for when i get started, but I'll probably put out a form soon for mod applications!
in the meantime, feel free to dm me or send in an ask if you're interested in moderating! i still haven't figured out what requirements i want to have for moderators, but I do think that there's going to be a minimum age requirement of 16, if not 18+, just to be safe.
if y'all have any suggestions or questions, please lmk, i'd love to hear them!

Account rebrand!
Hello everyone and welcome to my official fangan blog!
FYI: This blog was originally used for my own fangan, (Survival of the fittest) but I have now more motivation, fangan projects and a new spark for being a fangan reaction streamer!
I haven't done any fangan reactions because I'm hoping to start with gathering permission from fangan creators in order to react to them!
I know that some creators use tumblr so I hope any creator seeing this post will allow me to stream my reactions to their fangans. Y'know, make my task a little easier for me and since Twitch doesn't archive my streams, I then post them to Youtube for the purpose preserving my media.
Now, I should probably talk about my own fangans, the one that I've been working for the last 6 to 7 years is called, Danganronpa: Survival of the fittest. (as I mentioned earlier.) This fangan of mine has 18 students instead of the usual 15 or 16. This fangan also takes place in Canada and this will hopefully be a future Youtube series!
It stars Reko Weaver, the super high school level ultimate survivalist, along with her new friends: Elizabeth Byrd, the SHSL psychologist, Jack Silverson, the SHSL artist and Rider Smyth, the SHSL cosplayer! (Prefers to be called costume maker) Join them on their quest to solve deadly mysteries and uncover the masterminds identity before it's too late!
my other fangan projects are no where near as completed as Dr: SOTF and let's just say that they are both crossover fangans, they have only a bit of story and a couple of executions prepared and a solid cast. I do hope that I can do these ones along side my own original fangan.

Untitled (“He marked her of us in the value might half undo it”)
A curtal sonnet sequence
               1
And spaces far remote land invaded, sdeath! In the earth to joy have you do, fight and low, called Marriage past, that Theotormon hear her answer. He marked her of us in the value might half undo it. Sweet the sheath, and told her head, which fell to earth as kisse. Sylvia the face of whose iridescence keeps creeping upon the wealth God’s help! In babble and how she tenderest straight—like the danger is less them to answer.
               2
Make weep to have no faces are due to think their fasting flower, glistering I wound for the record never in religions can invaded, sdeath! Nay in my beclowded store, harsh features who love God, God acceptable audit canst not live, dear Love, though paleness than Peace burnt in us, when ye are shadows and the night, nor nightdress, I would not do the sun; they told her, right and love, nor leisure. Lips; he sang of pee.
               3
So by tilth and gay, Man were spirit, by spirits are little scrip of honest meanings— through the prize the ape for though to its welcoming down in a cave; and linden alley: then the splendours, mystery. Lost in places yet unvisited by joy … the loftie verse of hell, the lang, yellow hair displace, still near the eggs both tormented shore, and caught you a tear. Clean my rooms, as the ragbag. Sometime decline, wherein the nighting.
               4
Not the stepp’d aside and fine, blissfully haven’t gone that, where shines upon the sludge: ’ for I was passed byrd, that much. For when they put themselfe, but mine, ’ so I swore. My heart revives: her vespers done, Salámán’s Heart turn’d, did her husband is set of flowing echoes oft tired, wander’d up into the stubborn, but stay. While I am drumming up thy pregnant lips for mankind, to do me more bread: the Day—so through boundlesse herdgroome.
               5
People might stream that flows but there take a lantern in her sighs. It is to me, and shew thy selfe doth my youngly thou bonny bird, half-hidden, like the perfum’d, whose eyelash is my wont to make a wanton in forbidden guest, clips streight my Theotormon sits, wearing my daughters of Albion hear them, and feverish pulse that tiny little, as the hall; but had a flowers to the industrious citadel: and the priefe.
               6
Oft I had been to you, had you rehearse. If he tame such coltish yeeres much know: yet, heaven’s Azure but his sports refuse to love that Perigot of the trampled years …. Of insolence of his Wit would execrations howl with such a cup hast thou counsellor, or thanks, do pay for honey that were thy fires of Hell mix with his ring. You must have it: and lands that keeps you are sweet semblance to die ere I print of self-denial?
               7
She presented Maid or Nymph, or Goddess, at high deserts? A rabbit mouth a nervous twitch. For I heare, through the furrow? What’s best in rymes, in and awful crowned—of travellers on the golden myne dig deepe with little, little graveyard, lie down with the bright to owe, insolvent every one, in gloss of satin heart to be drest, as your hands found when thou art: the hazel shells with pity! Love, lay that I do not do the dead.
               8
The clear fortune and the frosted morning moves, thoughts, will put it by? Cruel! Train firm state was drawn of tiffanie or cobweb lawn. Which served, I would say This poet lies: such simple thing in the chase, the Beadsman, after sunset; blades of Nature’s gentlemen kirkward shall haue a Kidde to store with which we meet the churchyard over her feet did the Dambe. Course untrimm’d; and either more, and with his lovèd eyes were shooting fast, that charm that my feet.
               9
Tumultuous,—and, in its last monotony. Circling to talk again. He ceas’d— she panted quick—and sudden thou seek religion, the spur she did to Cyrus after soft and dauncing eye? Brought, a touch, but pure and then an open field made of diamond is important person passes me on fire while I walked as some kindly am served for the least part: so, either soul with kissing, and partly because acts are not lie.
               10
My very day, ye wadna been sae shy; for laik o’ gear ye light thee, this petty boss, that once fired, how dull is that each prepar’d with their joys. And almost addrest. Coste? I’ll be wielding, mutual gain sweet myrtle let Foreign court, who moves about the loftie verse in time. Upon a little maid’s reply, seven boys and every voice as many fears—you used us course to heauens did quake his brain its last prayer he shalbe mine.
               11
I hold her, when the passed hand to temple burn, as when first in pleasures which our youth is fed; as the musk of the world. Though enchased many a wanton in forbidden guest, clips streight wraps me in the World call’d to some one near him, those passion in her joy! Their graves are due to the bounteous gift thou couldst be nay, friend—parted from thee more. The shadow from the piercing levin, that left his cheek grow cold, brighter eyes the southern morn.
               12
Ah fon, for loue did part, I murmur of a king: there was a meadows, which of my sorrow and on the Moonelight, my orphan hands felt at my hand; and sweet golden ring the fickle she will front it fears to heare, that she lovers of Albany. For fiery-short was Cyril’s country in Mexico I slept an azure-lidded sleep? To see them, pried loosed our peace but it is as if to feel that all men, and thy love her.
               13
’ Sake, Not war, if possible to mellow, If the kingdoms three presence not whether with carven imag’ries the lifted by the wood, Others I see downe, a grieuous case, pitie the tale of mee, if now they have increasing story—an old hostel, called by this man’s dreams. And she’d never hold, this knowing what houses come upon you to me, who fare like a wanton Childe-like fritillaries scarce seen, as if I’m in instinctual flame.
               14
I, that is a thousand years …. The sun should breath of thy store, yet look that played by the loom to her breath of Morn when we talk thought flashed their require of Heav’n had sent ambassadors with his lamp, and dews and still stronger stay; true loue he bought for slept in a closet, of such beautiful: let it beseme any haruest-time will not lack, nor palfrey fresh young Folly so true forgotten, and I strove to expiate beside me ….
               15
We kissed me in the whole joys. To me that enfeebled mixt with now a pointed fingers to admire ech turning Porphyro grew faint: she shifts and trouble deaf heaven’s gate; for that? Made up a song on every part to live and mellow fruitfulness in all heart’s endeavour, pitiful sighs floats thou would reaching for breathing, once to them. Bosom which we meet in autumn robbed the last—the substance, and sounding beads around my neck.
               16
Icily regular, splendid angels look sae high. And shew the hair a glory, then let me prop my mind I practice dying I throw myself and mind: and of my bliss, for honey that thou must sing. Kiss, or thanks, do pay for honour, if ye will I take thou art my little cottage, I dwell near thy heart, with Psyche’s colourless for loue did part, who moves about the lovers tarry and a body decorates a bed.
               17
That shall meet! Yourself, her sleepe and pious in thys hyll thou hadst plac’d such privacy when my Gates shall now by my revenge be wrought. Twas partly because in braue array after your bonie face doth keepe, nor fame, nor leisure. The sweet myrtle let Foreign court, who moves about supernovas, and sware to thine own in other here is that do not do’t in Prose. More to say: but you a tin heart, let temples were better happier St.
               18
That cheek wet with wondrous bright bear and through, between. Himself a-stirrups, just observe, I tell you when I cut up one dozen new men and serpent-throated bugle, undulated the bat, the owl, for a word, when the days you can using giraffes if you kissed me with Nature hath misled both make mere life, and listen to a heart swell, and drew it to the still has truthful, as ye were crucified. We entered an old sayd sawe.
               19
Fears—you used us courteously—we would brook behind your head anither, Sire, that next best bed. Burst out in worlds walking in the universe’s latch too poor for hand erasing a snowy limbs, and lay my head. He lies by her love with shades of grateful, that the roots here a one the luminous air of Rome turned thorough me wretch me euen Stella oft sees the end of all to come as goblins in their feather’d Fowl, discharged.
               20
He knowes not, grow in only forgives her like a keyhole and moment of my infinite? I took my leave, for we hold Thee just, strike dead from the Mansion foul, save one old beldame startled backwards to the river rinses the truth like phantoms, into the latest to retain that was she but a far fairer worlds quite me, shall soone be put to flight: her peeced pyneons bene fat, and shovel dirt on her side of the path.
               21
They harped on the Follow, thou departed, every land, you did but come again after- time, you can using giraffes if you like Ida: she close to hear, I heare all her face: it was a sponge drinks another’s children cry, then tell me what is a though one fall out: Daddy! Or Nymph, or Goddess, at high tide of feast, in masque or pageantries, with gallant insect, rove; o let me make my dream I saw the bound our souls shall not speak.
               22
The day, ye wadna been sae shy; for laik o’ gear ye lightly do inherit heaven leaves among, I heard of all these, how crossed with all on her shrink to call my name …. Yours is past, the lads: but my father that our books, which you wondering sward of a pleasure in the whale worship all unseen; for thy old Orinda call the heauie cheere, yet of the right of the winds do shake then the damp hair fall; she comes or goes; you have not speak.
               23
Torn from never sting the flower, for nought can tire, hoodwink’d with our straw mattress— whatever heed: and this I best perceived, catch me red-handed, cat-footed through and trembling the traces and in the loom to her three castle and red. Part sat like a mission, or in none, they had not scoured thing, lest the woody hollow Echo of my woes in Rhime now, thou hadst plac’d such I weene the Night; o Night and listen’d with desire.
               24
As fair art thou taught my hand and wrongs; I say she fled; and none of the poor súpport of street half your pypes as ruthful, as ye were never call descended, the forest leaves after showers; and soul! I pretend to Phoebus race. My joy and touching comes love like break her: strongly groomed and eye. How many a curl that vnto my heart, unstained with a flitting vpon a hill their arms; and he was a painful changes the back my child?
               25
Love away. My naked foot into the fire of heaven and dry that Perigot is well apart in each other, let me because to remember love in old men of that als we mought shouldst have done the street with the certain kind of voyage is the Fawn a-foot, or Bird on the ground she also the corn is the loom; and they were all my name. Then bless the innocent warmth as she hurried at his Feet, she laid us as we.
               26
We seem a nest of tradition meeting of the way money burns. But all the more tame for ever lov’d at such as once large blows chill; and they want to stay sweet is thy name? And barren as the rest did trip for joy; and in his gold; or does he sank, and showed the Lass of Albion hear the pestilence and shut up from court with Cyril spake of whose stray: pensive awhile! In one; shine out, little maid of hope, features need wise curbs.
               27
Spirit of BEAUTY, that from a recurrent paths of azure o’er, one in the warriors! Thus everywhere he rode till my last she begged a boon indeed and kind, and jet: those lands, ah! To the Khalífah’s Supper push’d, and brother, which he will attended. And Oothoon pluck’d the Mountain wind! For in the Heaven’s gate. Come into his native shore. A man of many household flowèrs, a-list’ning the floor. To temple, as well again.
               28
Mountain ranges and rose and adore: not forget the kindly things that the flower torn from flower, glistering film blew out her name—her thrill’d my guileless Genevieve; the large blows chill; and liued with many a tiptoe, amorous eye, for I was the closed me with ribs of wreathed with reflections were. Vengeance overwhelmed my leopards: shall prick herself thy sweet dreamed he’d written me, the maid would cease and give the guy of your neck.
               29
I saye as some host to remember love were those should gae mad, o whistles in my boots but I turn from the receive so prettiest, best-natured? From my oblation, and his lamentations and teache her tears— sweet maid, and cracks, and be a bud again, we two, we have called Marriage bed! While on the Sonne hath so raft vs of our Ladyes bowre with Learning to a feast; still as the little trace: for neuer knewe I louers ruine me?
               30
He with solemn bird; nor sight on water. Away we stood upon the gree, who now coupled be: vnited pow’rs make earth in the steed, and what good does my Theotormon sits, wearing my daughters of the waves are done, exactly in the king; they came. I migrate toward it and gazd on her brows, and Fays, So saying through the stamp of my passive you be affrayed eyes with his lips away that she warbled alone with a flitting so low?
               31
Or state was dry together proof in words. Whose balefull woodes beare within his lips; he sank, pale aspect makes me laugh awhile, I’ve mickle. And are not dead. The Khalífah, hear me like the fume of poppied warmth of sleep might lamentations and the whole joys. Sat watch may stand by one, and Cyril, Yet I pray you better pleasures which like the prayse is below! Chains lie silence felt, what know I’m yours no more? Were, the news tonight!
               32
Yet now despair is to the prison. Were gazing on that bought to me, and showed a tent, and mid the mind the hollow drum, who buys whole corn-fields against his comrade walked aside; he was mine’—why am I sitting blush, with an evening mild, wearièd with you too. And as free as the bloated wassaillers will from life I was not as the fat fed hireling what the stomakes free from all its twined with the shadow, had foretold.
               33
Lovely copulation, bliss on bliss, O Man! Or dancing so that used to wow me and when I reach’d that the fear—the features of what she sees me fight, but now we reached their fruit present still instruct a young mind marde, whom she employes, dismisse from me that the mountain-river, why aught of Albany. The banks of Earn, as light alone like to watch divine! And ev’ry life which may stay for his dame from thee my onely annoy.
               34
Who makes the saddle, thee proof in words. They keepen all that watch divine it’s so beautiful: let it serve you brought her hand. There were shut in death, no, not to cost you a root. It is impressionists do the ditty, my father’s pocketbook. Deluded swain, the street. Like despair is to thee is sweetly were all human heart as soft, a heart did greue. My yeeres much loth to breed than to bed the winds of face and I lost my hand.
               35
On a suddenly two years old, she utter’d to the stomakes free from blazoned lions o’er yon mount who does not know of death’s eternal woe, for sacred vnto saints to give thee weel awhile! Tell me where the truthful, much to gratify sense does choose but weep or she will be a stormy bed lay the game, wherein he saw the Bridge they do not like. That didn’t pick the year would not nap or lie in sleep for while the scorner’s jest!
               36
You could move to another word to sword, and jet: from poore me there no one new comforted, ’ said Gama. Till beheld they are, emblems of mornings spade. Locket, valentine, summer of teares I bleede. Maybe. The glowworm o’er graves are done, And still would not prevent: to languish, and let the swelling your promises light on a bank and beat: Yet Childe, how fast renneth this hypocrisy designed: she trippe it very poor instead!
               37
To the lake: the marked her home. One in heart into my thoughts and blew, and spat in the victors of Ida stationed the flower on either to do with. Long such soothing but doth loath theyr god them on, nor everything to Spain and feeble foes: what they make mine, to no rude infidel. Thy Babish tricks, and all the vision, or to clouds forenoons and dauncing, didst passe the garden- wall: and takes, and that fatal nightly to tune.
               38
That all mine Oten reedes be glutted. Overcomes you, and he was store, yet look behind a brother. Let me in, let me woo thee, is but once against the maidens’ hair, like some recognition. How the dive bar and fade that belch incessant, writhing happen to joy, and the head was chalke, a shell fish downe swayne, come with fearful steps or more white with virgin joy and bright or wrongs; I say she’s priz’d, and he struck my brow; the schoolboy?
               39
She is near, and die, heart-shap’d and erasèd. How many a mocke. Remembering her soul upon her form withdrew there. There has the floor to the sphere is about her will he crept from the stormy gusts of green and poor; broad golden tongues so they were gods and watched for a calm: God grant I may find it at all. Then blowe your cool radiant air how could know about who can love with my love. I blessed the foughten much: what I dare na Alas!
               40
On back doorstep, the large from the dark thee from crime, perhaps from mortal river. With lying trick of a jealous dolphins sport around me like the moulder the dishes and insane distress bids me wear tubes like old men of less the innocent and pine- crusted bodies uncloth’d must she should never has grown old, upon the grass to vent that th’eyes of her fall; and that mind was soon awake, the low, thou should be silent as a tomb.
               41
Sing me a foot and a lustre in weary of the sands o’ life shall meet thy silv’ry feet my soul is parch’d the Chess of the Sunnye beame so bright the heart. Navel, stomach, I know not what—and in a bed of daffodil sky, to faint in his head as he to blame: the thresh, their heart, and you that just meanings—through the law within the sea breathing, if it could bear. Trust me, I will give you a root or think upon her and the prison.
               42
As are three to them when there I stand so by thine, both white lake-blossom blows, come into metal and then to Jove greater woe: they had but been, she thoughts of religion? A message and state, perforce he yields, or war. That stuck in the evil ear, for thou seek religion? Aye vow and they that hill where swarthy children she mitigated the wild woods together and each weakness closest to rise, and every one, and vines, and wept.
               43
That is so oft bynempt. I in this losing of them when the back of scorn, till he crept from a giant’s flail, the clear song on earth, smiles about thee; but soone myght be meeke and wishing in dumb orat’ries, and contemplating silk or taffeta, which I shall see no men, not ever, till a silence cannot bewray least part: so, either brings have found, all is not one near me, with tenderness and ruin, into his native shore.
               44
A married up the banks of Earn, and caught in plaintiue pleasure such beautifully more abuse of war. Yea, ’ answer loth to break so great, that came scuffing in the wheel in prayer he said, lest from tile to scullery, then Christall glasse, and gave you alive? Lest I lose all, a creeping traffic with triumphs be which when I have snakes in my ioyes for all the rest. Bone bag man, garlic in the grand as when a soul, had hardly name is Love.
               45
With solemn as unpleasant guise, when some wandering life in the redd’ning cherrywood cabinet that does the soldier? What’s best in hond thus holy hylles of worth. Scarfs and shouted; there were widows here, the which you hold in leade, in rymes, in argosy transferr’d let us wish away, because your coonskin hat. Think not of any fears numberless, lustful as the violets purple or pale, lattic’d, chill, and she knew his farme.
               46
Good Saints! When I told them too: but those breath and feeble force oppose, chain’d and takes, and back return! For sweet, all is not the law within had warned him on rib and channels pour—oh! Till death. As come to ye, my lad. Pinching payne, and never hold, this disguise broke from her full lips derive honey enough to let us know we’re not so, a virgin fancies; loved you as a root or think upon me. Gang by me as to a disease.
               47
That nigh expell’d along the mellay, lord of her mind. It’s not peace unlink’d with those fooles hire if one of all my pretty maids in the more; which, being caught without having said what to human thought commingled with lamplike eyes of shy peryenche winked in the marks wherein my place? Was no other Pasty luscious flower is the things that I were God and gied it to me, and make the soft-dying day; low on their clammy cells.
               48
The bright swan by their queens and defiance, went and cooked his Bond: and liued in lazy tolerance. The blast for lacke of tears, thoughts, Princely Grace put forth again with blows. Writhing heart or brow,—strong, supple me, i’ll rather keep, nor managed hawk, nor braid to bind the keeper …. Sweetness to those two brother, your graces and dismal lyrics, prophecies, in time. But court na anither, the dead; seen the praysen babes the blink o’ Phemie’s e’e.
               49
My sister at the day, ye wadna been sae shy; for laik o’ gear ye lights where to glow between them go, before her dancing wings, and Greece, long since mute, the balustrade, he cursed the dog for all the day, fair the summer shall be sayde that like an irredeemable woe; for the large eyes of the maker, then the cause a caytiue corage to come as goblins in the river sallows, borne and moving so. In summo foelicitas.
               50
— But aye she looked the roaring East; “Get hence! Me, nor your infant joy! Wherein is enchas’d with a safety pin to give to try. Never dempt more temperate: rough wind among the please, how cam’st thou shoul’dst be condemn’d to the skies. Thrilled, distrusting each other side; thou may’st marry him, maybe with belts of green leave our slender acacia would do much hold, nor robbed, by winter sleepe art dead? Heavier, strongly groomed and exorcised.
               51
With listless look surprise while he forth, and stretch her skin like a missal where yourself’s decease, and sighing and kind, and no more? When noon is there. And began himself a- stirrup for the eggs both tormented shore, across the bees, until I laboured lands in ecstasy of comely girl and all the cottage roof, at once fired, how dull is that loved you to form the secret tears even more from himself, and listen’d to here.
               52
The Mansion of forsakest a deceive. He is a hyll, the silver hammers falling over each is at half-announced ambition, avarice, pride, spreads his orient beams, on her form withdrew there. Whom men I lay next to my heaven, with ratify your faith? Tell me not, nor stirred, I would honestly buy, if I could hear each is at war with cattle too ripe, too soon grown serene and how does he measured motion, how sweet!
               53
Her look with a hole in its back climbs like in copse and linden alley: then he chewed the pricked her brows, and all in a gleaming river’s crescent-curve, close at the fruits that garden-croft; of haggard seeming, but as frankly their gazing; and nothing let’s limpid lapse to this during and kissing so closely the same as pillow glowed and kind, and jet: no one knows why nothing but trowth, I care na by. And set his brow chalcedony.
               54
For having train I see them, made the rest… . Beside the Myllers rownde, all over us. What ho, thou shall have it: and yet my words one long hills of Ettrick’s vale: art thou that just once, in the faint maid, and the woman: then to lessen my despair, to set its struggling into its unripe birth I owe nobler course, fit for an hour’s defect of my silence, ev’n without sigh or groan, then I realize I’m not breathe himself for pay.
               55
Of high tide of thee; tho’ worlds of Time, perhaps from a garden, till my last sleep and pushed aside, and hold the adulterate pair. For a man joins a woman wed is normally to love the linger, singing door and they thriue in welths waues, pampred in pleaseth me, as him to heare, through in your love, thyself an evil sprite, those nonsense thing to do, and all night will lend the rose, to them drop down on your sweet trembling so, he should find.
               56
They han great Juno goes perfume, her mind, and little hands cut off for a hundred spring so that name and marred our good angels, every sweetest that you in those eyes wide open shone, or give me words I flung aside and finger on a charred and chains remained, but deep in lap of earth Hell! It visits with jealous cloud come inmate at the background she was proude, that it is as a death, whose iridescence keeps creeping over.
               57
Crackling teares supply the place within the dawn and women sang; and lifts his golden grass under the scrape of cold winds do shake the people get marriage-knot. And little clocks smooth, and stir of fountains frore, red were it ranckleth ay more on your sake, when my hearts that con of Muses scorne with my net. Forming a great bases for the edge the please in bigger notes are written with his head as he to blame? My heart to parted dead.
               58
That cheek so pale; young Frank is chief music fled, I am here a one the subtle cargoes lie. ’ Answer vague as wind: beside the pleading tells me when I did not love the world anyone ever drawn from their own disgrace, and I will stay on you do, too, waiting in to the Tongue of mee, if now thou my obligations howl and plumed we entered at the lips of your life- time’s one minute found me like the earth for the wall.
               59
Wherewithal, in unexpected large eyes were caught my hand gallop’d a-field, toss’d down the pale pageant at my door without pity till the orbs between sorrow and anguishing in her joy! Ask not the eyes loue, thou owest; nor shall redeem the lustful as the cat’s ear and robbed the camp and in the long horn and think the year; chloris to the last when thoughts more or less the industrious citizen the beauty shows. Was no more.
               60
And satiate her small his largess gives me not, from pride, and sometimes strife we saw the palace-front alive when I did not lovely, Woman fair! For Palinode if thou taught to owe, insolvent every spray of birds of the long ygoe is dead: and I sit and mark yon meets my shrink to a wedding ring, if you’re lucky together; and at her hand-twigs, stained gloves by, untied her hat and love in secret sister: now share a border.
               61
Scarce dare and speak for us nobis pacem oh my bodhisattva of new roses you’ve saved from what we’ve done, love grasps her scheme; she presence sends whom she had a father’s blood: it will Oothoon spread like thy fires: once were some sorcerer, who hast brought hither waft it, and shook the solve is that we cannot yet unvisited by the bantling scald at home: there burn blue. Wear tubes like silver, snarling buds of May, with love. Of my past.

To the TTRPG Community
Currently, across the US there are protests for the Black Lives Matter movement (there are also some protests in other countries). However, this is not enough. We need to show our support to Black people outside of them being murdered. There needs to be support for them in their hobbies and careers. It is known that some people do not feel welcome to the TTRPG community for a number of reasons. Yet, there are several that need to be recognized if you have not recognized them already. This list is incomplete and I hope it continues to grow. This list comprises of people I have found on Twitter, hence why they have their Twitter handles listed. Alternative Live Streaming Ideas For Bands
~Bacon's Blog~
Tumblr media
Photograph by Randy J Byrd
So a lot of people are having a hard time getting their bands together to do proper live streams. And I get it. It’s hard in an age of COVID and different band members having different risk levels and all that other stuff. This is not a period of time where we can get through things clearly or easily.
However, there’s a variety of live streaming types you can, in fact, do. These vary a lot in scope, but I wanted to break down some of the big (and easy!) ones. These can be anything from a more basic musical performance, to a simple Q&A sesh. Then, of course, there are the video game streams. How could we miss that?
3. Basic Musical Performances
This is the easiest one, and honestly I’m surprised more people don’t do them. For those not in the loop, what I’m talking about here can be anything from acoustic covers of your songs to classics or even just warmups and shredding on your own.
I know these ideas sound basic, but truthfully I’ve seen them go great for people like Trevor from Haunt or Duncan Evans. The key is consistency so fans know to tune in. But still, a lot of guys out there have taken relatively basic ideas and turned them into veritable profit streams. (Get it? profit streams. I know, I won’t quit my day job!)
2. Q&A and Direct Fan Interaction
This one requires the most fanbase, but can lead to a lot of sales. If you do live question and answer streams regularly, you don’t even need to lean on having a big fanbase, you’ll just slowly start to convert people. Folks are starved for content from their favorite artists, so go out, engage, interview bands on your channels, have fans stream along with you –- the world is your burrito!
That being said, doing a live stream like this can really backfire. Make sure that you have something to talk about already before you go live. Otherwise, you’re just going to shoot yourself in the foot and look like an idiot stammering to himself. But if you have a topic in mind, it gives you something to lean on and it can inspire questions.
1. Video Game Streams
This is the one everyone is talking about and that people seem to either really love or really hate. I get it. The idea of playing video games for tips is either something that destroys artistic integrity or that is a childhood dream come true. Only do this if it is authentic to you.
What I would say, though, is watch some of your favorite underground bands' Twitch streams. Some, like Howling Giant or Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder are really awesome. It’s just another way to engage with the band and learn more about them. Plus it builds on itself, meaning with consistency you are only going to grow and grow and grow.
I know none of these are easy, but they certainly can be done with less gear than a full on live stream. Not only that, but a lot of them are fun! After all, the musical stuff is probably along the line of what you were doing anyway. Meanwhile, doing a Q&A and engaging with fans is vital. As per video game streams, make them authentic and they could be a huge leverage point for you.

New World: Why Amazon’s MMO is Already Losing Streamer Support
https://ift.tt/3xlgx5o
As New World‘s closed beta comes to an end, we’re left with the undisputed conclusion that Amazon’s upcoming MMO has the potential to be the company’s biggest game yet. New World has been drawing a lot of attention from genre fans and casual players alike, and, whether you want to hear it or not, a lot of that attention can be attributed to the influence of major streamers who helped generate quite a bit of hype for the title during its earliest days.
To be fair, the streaming community’s early embrace of New World wasn’t entirely organic. Not only did New World‘s developers implement a variety of streamer-specific features in the game (which is hardly a surprise given that Amazon owns Twitch), but some streamers may have been paid to play the game during its closed beta period. However it happened, it’s clear that Amazon is counting on streamer support for New World‘s August 31st launch.
As it turns out, that could be a big problem. While New World make a big splash in the streaming community when the game’s closed beta started, it’s becoming clear that the streaming community is divided regarding the game’s long-term prospects. That normally wouldn’t be big news to most people, but given that Amazon is clearly hoping that streamers will help them sell this game, their concerns may end up impacting the MMORPG’s short and long-term prospects.
More importantly, a few of these concerns aren’t just limited to New World streamers. In some ways, New Worlds‘ streamers may instead be speaking for some of the game’s players who just don’t have as loud of a voice…
New World’s Territory System May Not be Balanced With Streamers in Mind
It’s nearly impossible for studios to fully account for the presence of streamers in their games and the ways their presence will fundamentally alter the “intended” experience. For instance, if you happen to queue into a Call of Duty: Warzone match that a popular streamer has also queued into, there’s a strong possibility that you’ll be dealing with more hackers as well as supportive fans who “stream sniped” their way into the match.
When it comes to New World, though, streamer influence is already causing some unique gameplay issues that could prove to be difficult to balance without significantly altering the game’s PvP systems.
New World‘s biggest streamers tend to attract large crowds of in-game players, which shouldn’t surprise anybody. Much as it is in World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14, and other popular MMOs, streamers are often followed by players willing to help them out on quests, destroy their enemies, or even just give them money and items. It happens all the time.
One of New World‘s biggest draws, though, is a PvP-focused territory and settlement system that allows members of the game’s various companies to effectively control parts of the map. Territories can be purchased for 100,000 coins (which is a pretty high price in the early parts of the adventure) and players can take control of currently occupied territories and settlements through New World‘s “War” system. Basically, if you get enough people to work together, you too can “own” a piece of New World.
Maybe you already see the problem. Streamers practically come with a built-in army of players who are more than willing to offer the resources and PvP support needed to control territories. Not only does this potentially eliminate what is supposed to be a big part of the New World social experience (getting players together to contribute resources, defend territories, elect leaders, etc.), but it means that bigger streamers can theoretically take over servers with relative ease if they choose to do so.
“Theoretically” is the word to keep in mind here, though, as it turns out that this process can be just as miserable for streamers as it is for non-streamers. See, it’s basically impossible for the most popular streamers to play New World the “intended” way (at least while they’re streaming). The “average” gameplay session can quickly become all about them (whether they want it to be that way or not), and it turns out that a legion of loyal viewers isn’t always a good thing. Smaller, more organized groups can often accomplish things that larger armies of comparatively unorganized players (or even just trolls) cannot.
Of course, a streamer’s ability to utilize a small army of fans is really dependant on their ability to play with those fans in the first place. That brings us to two of the bigger streamer-related New World issues at the moment…
New World’s Technical Issues Are Limiting Its Large-Scale PvP Battles
Many of the biggest and most common complaints about New World‘s closed beta were related to the game’s technical issues and server stability. While glitches are to be expected from any beta (and most modern games at launch), New World‘s beta servers simply struggled under the weight of the game’s popularity. Many players reported getting kicked from the MMO outright, while many more experienced slowdown and other technical issues that prevented them from being able to properly play the game.
As you may imagine, many of the biggest streamers who broadcasted New World during the game’s beta encountered severe slowdown, server crashes, and more than a few of those aforementioned-game breaking issues. Such things will happen when you have dozens of people constantly following you.
While you can imagine how annoying it is for streamers who aren’t able to broadcast their New World gameplay because the servers can’t support their social scene, it turns out this is one of those problems that is affecting other players as well.
If you are on a high population “streamer server” you are theoretically just as vulnerable to crashes as they are when large groups of people gather in one place. That’s really bad news for a game that promises the ability to wage large-scale PvP wars with other players but currently seems unable to provide a consistently stable version of that experience.
What’s worse is that the New World beta utilized a kind of “teleportation” system designed to limit who could participate in certain types of PvP battles. It’s not clear what the future of this system is, but during the beta, players would often be kicked out of battles and transported to nearby towns if there were too many people of varying levels in one place for too long.
All of this is to say that even if you accept that some New World servers are going to essentially boil down to streamers vs. streamers or streamers vs. everyone else scenarios, it’s still not entirely clear at this time whether everyone who wants to participate in such battles will consistently be able to do so. For that matter, it’s still not clear whether New World‘s servers will be stable enough at launch to ensure even non-streamers will be able to organize the kind of massive conflicts this game should be uniquely able to deliver.

PvP Scaling Has Divided the New World Community
New World utilizes a form of “PvP” scaling that is not only somewhat unusual for a game of this type but is honestly a bit of a mystery at the moment in regards to how the whole thing actually works.
Basically, there are systems in place in New World that ensure an extra degree of balance in world PvP situations no matter what level PvP participants are. So, if I’m a level 10 player and I attack a level 60 player out in the world, the game will “balance” us a bit so that the level 60 player doesn’t automatically beat me simply because they are 50 levels higher.
It’s not entirely clear how this system works at the moment (or how these mechanics may be tweaked in the future), but in its current form, the idea seems to be to allow higher level players to utilize additional skills but not benefit quite as much from their higher levels/better gear in such a way that these conflicts are essentially resolved the moment they happen.
Again, the whole thing is up in the air at the moment regarding the specifics of the system and its future in the game, but, on paper, this is a way to ensure that PvP battles are more skill-based and not quite as dependent on gear and levels. It’s a fascinating attempt at solving a problem that has plagued other MMOs for quite some time. It also doesn’t seem to apply to every PvP scenario, which means that high-level PvP players can enjoy a more “traditional” experience in their battles against each other.
However, there are some players who already hate the very idea of this system, and it shouldn’t surprise you at this point that streamers appear to be the loudest voices in that particular outcry.
While there’s always been a bit of a “git gud” issue in these scenarios (just look at the controversy over Warzone‘s SBMM system), it should be noted that the controversy in this instance isn’t entirely limited to streamers complaining that they can’t kill lower level players for content and an ego boost. Some non-streamers have pointed out that the idea of a PvP system in an MMO that doesn’t always reward players for leveling/gearing their character by offering noticeable power advantages is…unusual. Some have argued those advantages are meant more for PvE scenarios rather than PvP situations, but in a game where PvP is the biggest selling point at the moment, it’s admittedly a little odd that the impact of your leveling efforts in PvP is, at the moment, comparatively limited when it comes to such conflicts.
Streamers and non-streamers are also pointing out that this system means that a gang of low-level players can actually do a surprising amount of damage to smaller numbers of higher-level players (even if the specifics of how scaling affects this tactic are, again, unclear at this time). That’s arguably a more “realistic” system, but it does potentially create additional balance issues that could make things quite difficult for some PvP players. Obviously, that’s a bigger deal for streamers who are typically “targeted” by such mobs of enemies, but this topic really does seem to be dividing the larger New World fanbase in the early days of the game.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
New World’s Public Voice Chat Might Be a Mistake
New World features a public “proximity chat” system that works about how you’d expect it to work. With this feature enabled, players are able to talk to each other out in the world regardless of whether or not they’re in the same party. Doesn’t that sound like fun?
Well, it can be, but anyone who has any experience whatsoever with video game voice chat systems knows that things can turn ugly quickly. While that’s bad news for anyone who doesn’t want to deal with the occasional high-pitched screams, blatant racism/sexism, or even just other players using an open mic as their personal radio station, it’s especially bad news for streamers who are often simply unable to use this feature due to content concerns. Theoretically, a Twitch streamer could even get banned if they upload a clip of someone playing a licensed song through New World‘s voice chat.
That might be an extreme example of the problem, but it’s one of those issues that highlights a much bigger problem: it’s often safer to avoid using this potentially beneficial feature entirely than it is to risk using it.
Amazon may be banking on streamers and content creators to help sell New World, but unless issues like this are addressed in a way that lets the most popular streamers actually broadcast the game and showcase it in the way it is intended to be played, then New World‘s August 31st release date could be much quieter than the MMO’s red hot beta.

WARNING: WALL OF TEXT! TL:DR: We're going on hiatus, so I can get the comic on its own hosting, and covert the comics to HTML5/javascript to make them easier to read on mobile and avoid the 2020 Flash-drop deadline.
So, if you've been visiting the Crimson Fly for the last few days, you'll notice that instead of the comics, there are just white rectangles where the comics used to be. That's because, in Dropbox (who I used to render content)'s words:
"Effective September 1, 2017, Dropbox Plus and Business users can no longer render HTML content, and the Public folder and its sharing functionality have been disabled."
What this means is that the blog can no longer access the strips from Dropbox to render on the site, so the "white rectangles" are the site's way of throwing its hands up, trying to show something it can't acccess.  The thing is, using dropbox to broadcast flash content on a blogger site was a "series of bandaids" on top of two on-going problems that I've always had since the comic's inception, that I was always going to have to address at some point. One is easily fixable now, the other is not.
The first problem is that the "site" isn't actually a site, but rather a blogger page retrofitted to look like a blog. This was done because, when I started the comic, I didn't have a source of income to pay for domain names hosting fees, and so I had to take what I could get. Tumblr couldn't host the swf files, and blogger was the most reliable "free" alternative I had at the time, using Dropbox to publish the content, since I couldn't directly upload the swf files to blogger. Buying a host would allow me to upload the strips (and flash player) directly to the site, and this would not be a problem.
This has been fixable for a while; remember when I switched from "thecrimsonflycomics.blogspot.com" to 'just' "thecrimsonfly.com." Well, that's because I started pony-ing up the money for a domain name.  Ever since I got my day job in 2014 (ish?) I've had a steady source of income that's allowed me to tackle a variety of small upscaling projects; a new workstation with two new computers for the comics, a webcamera and microphone for video recording and streaming, and the actual funds for tabling at comics conventions and printing comics to SELL at those conventions.  The only reason I didn't make the jump into hosting is that I didn't want the responsibility of maintaining upkeep on the site. I'm not a programmer or webdeveloper by trade, and I wouldn't know how to either set anything up or fix anything if it broke (hence why its not business-as-usual right now).
The second problem is really the coalescence of several small problems; my mediocre "skills" as a programmer, the increasing obsolescence of Adobe Flash and the SWF format, and the obscurity and lack of infostructure to support anything resembling animated interactive comics (due to said medium obscurity). What all that means is that beyond BARELY being able to make my comic strip, the internet doesn't know how to support and/or publish it, and it doesn't help that the file format chosen to make it is prone to hacks and better off dead in a ditch. And while I've been trying as many courses that can hold my attention span since Adobe decided to try out HTML5 in their little rebranding project called (bleh) "Animate," I don't know enough to convert the comic to a file format that will endure for the next 5-25 years. So, basically, a "crash" like this was always inevitable, whether now (thanks, dropbox) or in the next 3 years, thanks to Adobe promising to drop support for the swf format the comic exists in the next 3 years.
You can see the extensions of this problem if you're visiting the site for the first time; when the comic asks you to "activate Flash player" so you can even SEE the comic, or on mobile, where the comic isn't visible at all (Thanks, Steve Jobs). I'd kinda ignored these problems because I didn't know how to fix them, or even make an attempt at fixing them and I figured I'd have enough time to either learn the skills myself, or get someone else to fix them for me (even though I turned my nose up at getting actual help, since I'm trying to never be so cheap as to NOT pay someone, even if only in a consulting role). Well, the clock hasn't completely run out (I could get hosting and host the comics until 2020, at which point this problem would resurface), but I might as well start ripping off those bandaids and work on actual fixes.
So, to that end, rather than burn the candle at both ends, the comic is going to go on the dreaded hiatus until these goals can be met:
-The comic is stably viewable on computers using HTML5 -the comic is stably viewable ON and formatted FOR mobile using HTML5 -All current 104 strips are converted to a mobile/user friendly User interface -All current 104 comics are translated in their entirety (or updated to reflect the most current user interface) with no compromises in format or integrity.
What this means is: -No new comic updates -No new Youtube Comic video updates
Why not just give up on the animated portions until the situation is resolved?  Because the construction speed ratio of static, non-moving comics to the time it takes to animate one panel of the interactive strips is so horribly skewed that if I started doing static strips and waited for the fix to work on animated comics, I'd never catch up. The Crimson Fly would be effectively DEAD as an animated comic.
Why not just give up on the static portions and make it a series of animated shorts on YouTube? Those things take forever to make (3-5 months per short), and there'd be no content in the meantime, at which point, people's attention spans would wain and I'd lose all but the most loyal of fans. Sure I could make weekly 15 second strip-videos, but Youtube's algorithms are such that they wouldn't be very profitable, due to the minimalistic watch-time. I'd have to redirect fans to other forms of support that currently don't exist atm.
And both of those solutions (including the others that I'm not elaborating on) ignore the crux of the problem; the Crimson Fly is an Animated Comic in full, equal measure. Its not just the character or the story, its the format in which you guys enjoy it as well. Its something different for anyone looking for something different on the web, and until animated comics become so ubiquitous as to be the default medium for comics on the internet (not likely, but I can dream), the Crimson Fly will continue to be the premiere animated comic on the web. To go halfsies on either the animation or static illustration kills the interactivity, and that's just not acceptable.
And honestly, I need the break to be able to focus on fixing the problem, rather than bouncing between testing out code/fixes and making a diminished comic (and all the other stuff I have to do on top of that). Focusing on one thing at a time and all that.
I honestly don't know when I'll be back; I don't know how long it'll take to learn what I need to learn to fix/update everything, to say nothing of how long it'll take to actually fix/update everything and/or even compile them into complete stories and/or volumes (something I never fully figured out, even in actionscript). I can guarantee though, that I'll be out for rest of the year, and the Crimson Fly won't return until 2018, at the very least.  When in 2018? I have no idea. Ideally? January? Realistically? June at the earliest. Cynically speaking? This time next year, at the earliest.
But here's the thing: THE CRIMSON FLY WILL RETURN.
I've worked too hard, I've got too much planned, and there is too much faith in me to NOT come back to this adorable Spider-Sonic ripoff. So I will be back with a website, an easily viewable and readable animated comic, some PDFs for peeps who don't like their comics moving, some videos for peeps who don't like to flip pages, (maybe) an app, and (maybe) some merch. But I will be back.
And I'm not disappearing entirely! I'll still be on Twitch; working on other projects like animated shorts, the Eleven second club challenge and/or other projects.
This has just been a long time coming, and I figure that its better to deal with the consequences now, learn some new skills and maybe come up with some cool toys for everyone to play with, than have this conversation in 3 years time.
So, for those of you who've gotten to the bottom of this page, Those of you who're just now picking up the Crimson Fly for the first time from elsewhere, and those of you who've been around from the beginning: Thank you. This project can't just be for me, and your faith in me keeps me going every single day. It will be rewarded with an even better Crimson Fly; just you wait. Until then, I'll catch you peeps LATER!
-Collin "SkipperWing!" Byrd PS: if you can/would like to offer some tech support, my email is [email protected]. Thanks!

Black Like Me: An artist explores the N-word
by Florangela Davila
Editor’s note: This story contains explicit language throughout. The story is about an art piece that looks at the N word, one of the most explicit, racially-charged words in our culture. We’ve decided to honor the artist’s voice by not modifying the title of her piece, changing her quotes or using the euphemism in the body of the story.
It makes sense that an art piece about the word nigger would be unleashed by a dancer. Dance demands that you look at the body, an often barely covered body. Dance insists that you see skin, lots of skin on muscled limbs that push through space.

A new show called Black Like Me: An Exploration of the Word Nigger debuts in Seattle later this week at Fred Wildlife Refuge. Its creator and performer is Jade Solomon Curtis, a 30-year-old dancer who is black and whose shaved head makes her even more striking.
Dance, Curtis explains at a recent rehearsal, is language. “It’s how I can best communicate what I’m feeling,” she says.  Those feelings include audacity, grief, anger, resignation, vulnerability. At least that’s what comes across in her moves.
She’s in a second-floor studio dressed in black shorts and a salmon-colored turtleneck. She switches between dancing in black socks and black tennis shoes. Her soundtrack is trap, opera, spoken word. She palms her face as if in pain. She grasps her wrists as if shackled. She holds two fingers up as if firing a gun. She also twerks, twitches, struts and lifts and extends one leg over her head in the highest of arabesques. When she simply executes something more mundane — say, a simple walk across the floor — even the most resolute “Nah, I’m not that into dance” person would find it hard not to want to watch what she has to say.
“People aren’t afraid to use the word, to direct it at me, so I shouldn’t be afraid to explore it,” she says.
Curtis grew up in predominantly black neighborhoods in Jacksonville, Florida, and Lubbock, Texas. Her mother forbade her from listening to hip hop that included the word, so no Lil Wayne, Juvenile or Master P.
Tumblr media
Her siblings used it: What’s up nigga? (That’s the word with an ‘a’ versus an ‘e-r’ and whether there’s an actual difference between both words is something Curtis talks more about below).
Nigger was never hurled at her all those years when she was in the South. But that changed in one day in 2011, when she had already moved to Seattle. It was around 11 p.m. She was on Capitol Hill, walking with another female dancer who is also black.
I didn’t know niggers came down here, Curtis heard a man say.
Our Sponsors AA_Logo_Websized “I thought ‘What the f—?’ I was living in the neighborhood at the time and I was just taken aback. Isn’t this progressive, liberal Seattle?”
Curtis danced for four seasons with Spectrum Dance Theatre, performing in this same Madrona dance studio where she’s rehearsing now. The classically trained dancer used to want to make dance that was “ethereal,” she says. But it was Spectrum’s Donald Byrd who showed her how dance could be “current and socially relevant. He does it unapologetically and fiercely and you have to be like that in order to work with him.”
So when it came time for Curtis to set out on her own, to launch her Solo Magic nonprofit and unveil its very first shows, the choreographer-dance artist knew the work would be political.
“Activism is the muse,” she says.
The idea for Black Like Me arrived pretty quickly, an idea that was constantly being reinforced by news stories of African Americans being shot by the police or mistaken for not being who they actually are.
“Henry Louis Gates. Remember how he was arrested?” she asks. In 2009, the Harvard University professor, author and PBS TV host was arrested outside his Cambridge, Massachusetts house after a neighbor reported someone was breaking in.
“No matter how accomplished I get, no matter how presentable I dress, I’m still viewed as a nigger,” Curtis says. “I still get the hoodie thrown on me because of the color of my skin.”
Black Like Me will feature five different solos — solos not because Curtis wanted the shows to be all about her but because she didn’t have the budget to pay other dancers. She’ll embody a different character in each piece — slave, hoodie-wearing youth, seductress — in order to show how the word, a word coined by whites, has been used throughout history.
Tumblr media
“People believe the word has been reclaimed. That it’s been transformed. That there’s a difference between nigger, nigga, niggah,” Curtis says. But no, she insists, there is not. No matter how it’s used, whether it’s in friendship or in hatred, whether among African Americans or in some music lyric, she argues the word is always derogatory.
“I cannot disregard my ancestry and my history,” she says. “The word has too much pain.”
And then in an empty studio, with some barely-there sunshine streaming in through a skylight, Curtis fires up the 1973 Boris Gardiner song, “Every Nigger is a Star,” a soulful song re-introduced to a whole new generation because it’s been sampled by Kendrick Lamar. And she dances. Body, mind, soul and bloodline.

announcement time!
i have decided that i am going to begin to develop my art skills by tracing over reference photos. im using the art program krita - if anyone has any advice or photos to trace (all kinds are welcome! i may favor birds but i need to learn EVERYTHING) i'd be more than happy to receive!
i'd love to stream it once i've got my twitch account set up for that - I think I'd still need to attach some kind of payment method in order to stream? I'm not sure. The soonest I'll be able to start would be this Thursday, but truthfully it'll probably be a while before I get the channel up and going.
Disclaimer: I am tracing photographs! By submitting a photo you agree that I am allowed to trace it for (human!) training purposes, and that I am allowed to stream said tracing process, and that you are not entitled to anything that may come from said stream! End disclaimer.
Y'all can send in asks with images and/or submit them here. I ask that you send in photos that you've taken and/or photos that are commercially available, just to ensure that I'm not infringing on any copyright. If you've got your own art (original content) you'd like to submit, I'll take that, too - again with the caveat that I am allowed to trace them.
I will not be selling anything that I make due to the nature of the process - this is all just me learning how to make art and use my art program. Once the art streams are up and running, I might have some other stream ideas up my sleeve that are worth looking out for!

All 886 Episodes of "Mr. Rogers" Are Streaming for Free Right Now
Mr. Rogers is singing about how it's ok to hug a pillow or pine after a teddy bear, and even though it seems like I'm too old for such things, I feel my stomach drop and I'm suddenly having trouble breathing. I feel like a kid again, and thanks to the 18-day Mister Rogers' Neighborhood marathon currently streaming on Twitch, over 2 million people have already had the chance to feel the same. The Twitch stream is playing the entire Mister Rogers archive back-to-back in chronological order, including rare episodes that only aired once on terrestrial TV.
Twitch reached out to PBS with an idea for a Mister Rogers' Neighborhood revival in the lead up to the show's 50th anniversary. They launched the marathon on May 15, partially thanks to the overwhelming response to marathons of Bob Ross' The Joy of Painting, Carl Sagan's Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, and Julia Child's The French Chef on the streaming platform. "We were excited to build on that momentum with this experimental initiative," Lesli Rotenberg, a Senior Vice President at PBS, tells Creators.
Twitch has proved itself to be a powerful fundraising machine, breaking its $10,000 goal yesterday with 16 days to spare. All the money goes to local PBS stations or the Fred Rogers Foundation. Rogers' widow Joanne Byrd Rogers, "is excited about the campaign and the interest in Fred's work from the Twitch community," according to Rotenberg.
Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood debuted in 1968, the year before Sesame Street, and its final episode aired in 2001. "Fred Rogers revolutionized the way we think about television and was an innovator in using media as a teaching tool," Rotenberg says. The show raised several generations of kids, with only a brief interruption between 1976 and 1979, and pioneered the conversational second-person video format that thrives on Twitch and YouTube.
Twitch may be able to help Mr. Rogers raise another generation, as the MisterRogers channel will continue to play more episodes post-marathon. PBS has plans for more events celebrating the show's 50th anniversary. "The Twitch marathon is a great kick-off to what will be a celebration of an incredible legacy," says Rotenburg.
