The Tale of Two Cities according to Stephi and Heiko - Part 474

Summer is almost upon us and one way to get from point A to point B inside the city during the warmer days is by bike. You try to avoid public transport as it it is just hot and smelly. Car is never an option due to parking problems. Hence, you take your bike.

Unfortunately after a long winter, the chances of flat tires are pretty high not a given. That’s something Cologne is prepare for due to a lot of bicycle shops that not only sell bikes but also often have garage in which you can get your bikes ready for the year. If it’s just a flat tire, the most often have some kind of air pump in front of the shops, just as you can see in the second picture.

Munich is even a step further as they have first aid kits around the city, at which you can take of a flat tire yourself. Such a first aid kit you can see in the first picture.

Have you taken care of your biker the summer? Do you even ride a bike? And for someone who’s bike is already 28 years old, old is yours. (To be honest, the bike stood around a lot of time and it’s time to get a new one, probably pretty soon. Not because of the age but because it’s a young man’s bike.)
