Season 6 aftermath

Hey everyone ! Just a few news !:)

- I’m still shaken and excited about season 6 !

- By the way, thanks to everyone who discussed theories with me before the season dropped, and to everyone who screamed along with me and speculating about further possible developments after it did ! It’s always such fun discussing with you guys ! :D

- I was considering dropping the spoiler warning at the end of the week ! Is that ok ? Does someone need me to keep them up longer ?

- I’m sorry for the occasional discoursy post. I’m not bad at curating my fandom experience usually (frankly I’m having an awesome time here), but there was so much hate going around that I ended up stumbling on some nevertheless. Several cool blogs I follow getting awful asks or comments. Seeing a cute gifset reblogged by a “neutral” blog, checking if the op isn’t an anti as usual, and YES they are an anti and there is the most terrible, hateful rhetoric on their blog (this happened several times). That sort of things. I knew there would be backlash and I wanted to ignore it but yeah. It makes my blood boil. Specially considering that the staff has said they were fighting for representation...and it could very much be this. And it’s so important, particularly on children programs. And then those “fans” who pretended to care about representation tear it down, call it pedophilia and incest that some people can see in a romantic light the interaction between two unrelated adults...just for a ship war. I guess even angry homophobic parents (which would be the ones you’d expect to complain) couldn’t top that. This is so ridiculous. It’s a cartoon. Everyone can interpret it as they please. And on top of that, it’s quite clear the team is supportive of people seeing it that way. I knew the fandom was like that before entering it, I expected this reaction, I tried to avoid that sort of content but… it still got me a bit salty.

At least this was balanced by the massive amount of cool sheith content and enthusiasm, and just cool s6 stuff in general, and I’m lucky that almost every interaction with other fans I personally had was always super positive.

- I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the cool content flooding my dash (and flooding you guys as a consequence haha). There are SO MUCH beautiful fanarts, fanfics, gifs, metas, music and cool theories !!! Also official content and interviews ! But my issue at this point is… if I spend too much time letting myself tempted to enjoy and read and share all that content… I don’t have time to produce stuff myself ! And I have quite a lot I want to do. There’s the stuff that was on my list even before the season drops : I still have to finish my ridiculously long answer for the voltron ask game, with a Kolivan meta coming up next. I’m SO late in my fics for @desertkeithweek, @shiroshipweek is almost there and I doubt i’ll be able to do something but damn I’d like to. And I wanted to do at least SOMETHING for @hunkshipweek *frustrated sigh*.

But there’s also stuff I really want to do since s6 dropped. Share some theories or stuff that I noticed, I’ve got a few meta I’d like to find the time to write, aaand...some more creative stuff if I can get the motivation to finish. Some fic ideas, too, on top of the ones already planned, why ? It’s, ironically, gen stuff, despite of how much I loved the sheith this season. (Well gen stays what I’m the most comfortable at writing anyway). So yeah I’ll try to step back a bit from the excitation and to produce content too.
