damn why everything about puentalay is sad if you think about it more than for five seconds (like they literally died wtF)... I'm not same anon, hope you don't mind if I'll tell my opinion. i headcanon talay as overthinther and someone who doesn't easily trust people. so i think he needed alcohol to relax and finally try to be close with someone.. and even then he wasn't fully in the process you know. his head was still working. so i headcanon that talay didn't go all the way with his previous partners before he decided to stop and focus fully on his dream to become colourist. so (maybe it's just me liking to see how partners experience something together for the first time) puen was the first person to eat talay out. idk i like how you describe it so i think it was out of this world experience for both of them.
puen on the other hand... especially when he was inexperienced he was driven by emotions. and easily caught feelings for his costars/people he worked with. and i think he would let do anything his partner would have asked him to do. but he wasn't lucky, he wasn't on the same wavelength as his partners. they didn't let him cuddle after or even if they hugged him they didn't stay the night. so he always was alone in the morning. something like that. so for puen 'i wanted to wake up and see that someone was waiting for me' is the feeling he experienced with talay for the first time
gay talay and bi puen is canon in novel (in the novel there's scene where talay comes out to puen) <3
HEY ANON JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT MARRIAGE BECAUSE YOU'VE BASICALLY READ MY MIND WITH SOME OF THOSE DETAILS!!!!!
LIKE!!!!! PUEN BEING THE FIRST PERSON TO EAT TALAY OUT IS ACTUALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE HEADCANONS!!!!! because, see, i do think talay has had some drunken one night stands in the past, but i think all of them were very... im not sure if 'performative' is the exact word im looking for ;;;;;;; what i mean is that i feel like the sex talay got out of those was always the kind that focused on getting each other off as quickly as possible, with orgasm as the goal to achieve at all costs, which isn't intrinsically bad, but in his case it never allowed him to really explore pleasure and what he might have wanted. like you said, at one point i can definitely see him just going through the motions, drifting out of his body and back into his head despite the alcohol, and that's why he eventually decided to stop. maybe this is why im so into the idea of puen taking his time to explore talay's body and taking him apart until talay is a shivering incoherent mess under him, because i like the idea of talay finally having a partner he can connect and communicate with, someone he trusts enough to let himself go and help him find out what he likes and dislikes
i also think that before meeting each other, love and sex have always been two very distinct and separate things for both puen and talay, and not necessarily because of their choice. especially in puen's case, i think he often went looking for love but only found sex. AND I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT PUEN WANTING TO WAKE UP AND SEEING SOMEONE WAITING FOR HIM UNDER THIS LIGHT AS WELL BUT NOW I AM AND IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE AND I FEEL LIKE WALKING STRAIGHT INTO TRAFFIC ABOUT IT. because i can see it so well!!!! puen always waking up to an empty bed afterwards or to people leaving and asking them to stay but always getting the same answer: it's been fun but im not interested in more. this would also explain why things went so disastrously bad with talay in episode 4, because he actually fell in love with talay and didn't know how to act, his only experience with anything remotely close to romance coming from his roles as an actor and one night stands that never went anywhere. now he gets to wake up to talay lying next to him every single day of his life, though, and that's all that matters
ANYWAY I HAVE LAY'S IN MY CUPBOARD JUST SAYING

King Ghidorah?
I got two of these asks lmao. I choose to believe it's two people who wanna know how I feel about Ghidorah rather than tumblr screwing up.
How I feel about this character
Listen, there's nothing cooler than a three-headed lightning*-breathing dragon from outer space. You've got the objectively best mythological creature ever—the dragon, which is the best because it's a lizard and/or snake, and also flies—and, on top of that, it's an ALIEN, and then you triple that. Best character concept. 10/10.
*Gravity beam shmavity beam. I know lightning when I see it.
And then, on top of that, they've got this wildly underexplored capacity for pure, undiluted angst, the likes of which most people would never think of applying to a character concept that seems tailor-made to be airbrushed on the side of a van—but there it is anyway. They might be pets that were deliberately abandoned in order to mutate them into monsters. Or they might be one-time would-be alien conquerors who were then conquered and mind-controlled by every wave of would-be alien conquerors to come since. Or they might just be the only aliens alone on a world where even the monsters have other monsters to hang out with. And there's nothing I love more than taking characters whose entire character concept is an answer to the question "what would be really really cool?" and then slathering them in emotional depth.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
I came out of KOTM, looked at what fandom was doing with Ghidorah, went "mmm I'm not sure about this sticking-them-with-Rodan thing," and it took y'all all of five minutes to suck me into Rodorah anyway.
I'm determined to drag more folks into Ghidorah/Gigan with me, they have such wonderful potential to be horrid world-flattening alien sadists together, and also empathize over being extremely physically modified and mind-controlled.
While I'm intrigued, theoretically, by the potential of Godzilla/Ghidorah, I've yet to see anyone do it in a way that hits precisely what I'm looking for. ... Or, for that matter, even vaguely what I'm looking for. So I'll hold onto that one and maybe someday someone will make it Just Right.
I also ship the heads with each other due to the fact that Wouldn't That Be Messed Up. What if one head likes another but the other doesn't return the feelings. They've just gotta live with that knowledge and they can't get away from each other. What if you had a crush on someone and a mad scientist saw it and went "ah, these ones are compatible!" and stitched you together and you were stuck like that for the next million years. That's messed up right. That's super messed up.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
It's on my ship list, but Ghidorah & Gigan is also my top platonic pair for Ghidorah, for the same reasons.
But going with someone who isn't on the list! Okay quick partial movie summary for those of y'all that haven't seen 1991 Godzilla vs King Ghidorah: in Heisei, King Ghidorah is made by time-traveling humans from the future, including one named Emmy Kano who explains that dorats are genetically engineered pets with empathic abilities, and interacts with them the most before abandoning them in the past to be nuked into King Ghidorah. They fight Godzilla, Godzilla rips off Ichi and kills them, Emmy goes into the future to get their corpse a cyborg resurrection with a new middle head, and goes back to the past with Mecha King Ghidorah while serving as Mecha Ichi's pilot and commanding them as a whole. They die again defeating Godzilla but Emmy survives and goes home.
ALL THAT TO SAY: it's never stated, but I like to headcanon that the dorats were Emmy's pets—or at least that she was in charge of taking care of them until they could be mutated and they FELT like they were her pets; that they were broken-hearted when she abandoned them in the past; that they could sense Emmy nearby due to their Unexplained Empath Powers the first time they fought Godzilla; and that when they were brought back from the dead to find Their Owner Was Back and fighting alongside them they were overjoyed to see her again and do anything she wanted.
So, Emmy & Ghidorah, because the idea of these sweet tiny pets being turned into a big terrifying monster but at heart remaining sweet tiny pets around their owner enchants me. I do plan on writing a substitute-Emmy into my KOTM Ghidorah's backstory.
My unpopular opinion about this character
"hey didn't you sorta talk about this yesterday" yeah because while trying to answer this question i got distracted by an overlapping topic and had to go make a post about it in order to stop thinking about it
This is sort of an overall one about KOTM, but vaguely sticking to the parts of it applicable to Ghidorah:
So we've got all these titans that have been alive for like, five minutes. Ghidorah's been awake probably a sum total of four hours. Until now nobody even knew that he was from a different planet, so I mean, Monarch's got less than zero information on him. The only three things he's been observed doing so far are 1) trying to kick Godzilla's ass, 2) successfully kicking Rodan's ass, and 3) yelling so loud a dozen plus other titans wake up.
And then this dude whose defining character traits are "hating Godzilla and other titans in spite of the mounds of scientific evidence that they're great for the environment" and "deciding that he knows everything better than the actual experts in the room who have dedicated their lives to these subjects and pigheadedly shouting over them with his own just-walked-in-the-room ideas," he looks at this situation and "oh, this Ghidorah, he's definitely a rival alpha to Godzilla," he says, as if the "alpha dog" theory hasn't been thoroughly and painfully debunked in the very wolves he studies, and as if it makes sense for seventeen-odd different species who might never have been awake and alive during the same era until now to not only have identical alpha-based social hierarchies but also share a social hierarchy across species and predator/prey lines, and as if it makes sense for an alien animal who didn't evolve on Earth to have anything in common with the local animals, including an understanding of and agreement with their local hierarchical structures...
And we're just... as a fandom, we're really just collectively accepting everything Man Who Became A Drunk And Abandoned His Family Because He Doesn't Know How To Express Any Emotion But Anger says about this hyper-masculine social structure that he's projected onto these wildly inhuman species? As if what he says is the gospel truth? Everything that gets said about alphas and kings, we're just assuming that the titans—who again, are not human, and may have never communicated with humans—have the exact same mental constructs about "alpha dog" theory and monarchy that humans do? We're assuming animals have concepts of kingship identical to ours? We're assuming that the theories that these humans tossed out within the first few hours of seeing most of these species move for the first time are 100% correct, even though in real life we'd been observing wolves for literal millennia before we came up with "alpha dog" theory and then within a century figured out it was totally wrong? Really? That's what we're going with? Not questioning whether anything about the humans' assumptions might have been wrong?
Okay.
So anyway my interpretation of Ghidorah is a hypnotic siren who doesn't know or care about Earth leadership, solely wants to destroy Earth for funsies, and only has a rivalry with Godzilla because Godzilla doesn't want the planet that he is living on to be destroyed and happens to be the sole dude tough enough to beat Ghidorah up.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
Mecha King Ghidorah Mecha King Ghidorah Mecha King Ghidorah.
But unlike other folks, I don't really want him to show up in Godzilla vs. Kong. I want that conflict to be the focus of the movie. Throw in MKG, and Godzilla and Kong's rivalry—whatever it's based on—has to get truncated to deal with this other threat, and MKG won't get a whole movie to shine as the primary villain. I'd like to save him for a future movie, where he can be billed as the primary threat rather than something that swoops in to interrupt someone else's movie.

before i write anything else im going to make a post about my various headcanons for the Four Boys in coac
albert:
born 12/25/1843 in clogerhead, county louth, ireland, to patrick and sallie hodgers and patrick died either before albert was born or when he was very young (this is all historical fact not a headcanon)
sallie remarried after patrick’s death and had a daughter, then later died during the famine
albert came to america when he was 14/15 after stowing away on a ship that would dock in boston. he worked there for a time before paying for passage west to work on farms and such.
joined the army in part because it offered new possibilities but also because his employer had taken a liking to him and was telling him to marry his daughter and that freaked albert out (this is an actual theory that some ppl have)
he was technically illiterate and signed all of his documents with an X (historical) though he recognized his named and some simple words
actually really liked and was good with kids, especially as he got older, even though he was kind of gruff with most people!!!
and even though he was Gruff he wasn’t necessarily unkind- historically he was well-liked by his neighbors to the point that they would bring him gifts- and was pretty much always keen to lend a helping hand when it was asked of him
for sure smoked cigars and/or a pipe and you CANNOT tell me differently
jeff:
oldest child in a big family. had five siblings, four of which made it to adulthood.
his parents are named lawrence and frances. kids in order of age: jeffrey “jeff”, lawrence “laurie”, charlotte “charlie”, anna “annie”, frances “fanny”, and nathaniel “nate”
he takes after his mom in personality and in coloring but he’s tall and lanky like his dad
actually from rockford, indiana, not rockford, illinois. when he’s talking to albert right before the scene change after bullet in a gun, he says “my daddy harkened from rockford, indiana, and met my mama in belvidere, illinois...” and in battle cry of freedom he also says that he’s from rockford. he probably spent a few years there as a child before the family moved back to belvidere some time after laurie was born but before charlie was born.
was about 20 years old when he enlisted in 1862, meaning he was born in 1842, a year and some change before albert
its kind of mentioned in battle cry of freedom but jeff was a bargeman on the great lakes & the erie canal before the war (”came from rockford, sailed the docks from michigan to albany”)
he managed his family’s farm for a time before passing it on to charlie and her husband and instead taking up a more community centric role in his wife’s family’s general store, and then he moved on to politics
wife was named elizabeth “betty” theresa ross
they had three children, in order of ages: harriet “hattie”, lawrence “laurie”, and clara. betty was closest to laurie and jeff was closest to clara.
billy:
youngest of four kids, with two older brothers and an older sister. his mom is a widow; his father died when he was about nine.
in brothers in arms he says he’s 16, and we can assume that the number was set in late 1862 or early 1863, meaning that he would have been born probably some time in 1846.
historical william middleton came from flora township, illinois, which is about ten minutes away from belvidere by car. i mention in fics that that’s where billy’s family lives; it would have taken only about two hours to walk between belvidere and flora township.
i think his actor said at one point something about billy having adhd, and though i could be wrong on this i’m also pretty partial to it
i know that i talk about how Every Single Character has freckles but like..... billy has freckles
came from a really poor family, so he can’t read well if at all, and probably never actually went to a real school. he learned his numbers and simple addition and subtraction from his mother, but other than that he didn’t have a lot in the way of education.
knew jeff before they enlisted- they come on stage during ghost boy chasing each other so its obvious that they were at least familiar- and billy was about the same age as jeff’s deceased brother laurie, so it’s possible that they met through him.
that being said he and albert bond over the fact that neither of them are literate, and also that he feels that albert is the only one who doesn’t see him as a kid
walter:
son of a freedman from texas (this is canon) and it’s implied that his family were actually of carribbean descent (he says something along these lines right before following the sound, though i can’t remember the exact words
he’s a single child and the oldest out of him, jeff, albert, and billy. probably about 21/22 upon enlistment in 1862, meaning that he was born in 1840 or 1841.
his mother is never mentioned and his father served under zachary taylor in the mexican war, which was from 1846 to 1848, meaning that walter went a few years without actually seeing his dad. after the mexican war the family moved north to illinois when it became clear that texas would no longer be a free state. he was probably about ten years old.
she had never had the strongest constitution but pregnancy and birth had been hard on walter’s mother and had left her sort of frail, which was why walter doesn’t have any other siblings. she passed away on the move from texas to illinois.
his father was arrested when walter was seventeen for being unable to provide proof that he was a free man, and walter never saw him again. by this time, walter himself was already apprenticed to a white barber who had abolitionist leanings, and who vouched for walter’s status.
historically walter would have been what was called a barber-surgeon, in that he didn’t have official medical training and was technically just a barber, but had enough knowledge to perform minor medical procedures. he didn’t enlist with knowledge on how to perform more complex procedures like amputations, but he learned from working with army medics
probably sweet-talked the recruiter for his placement, because typically regiments were segregated. historically, there were no black men in the 95th illinois.
that being said walter was a good sweet-talker. he had a pretty easy going temperament and knew how to butter people up and was good at it, but he also knew how to keep his cool in high pressure situations, which was good for him as a surgeon.

Day Five: Cagey Duck
I can’t help but take this literally and think of @cataradical 's  character Kage. A brat but he’s family. Haaa. A clone of Negaduck found as a kid by my OC Faustina who’s the kid of Nega Gladstone. Nega Gladstone takes him in as his son as well. Nega Magica accepts him too because HEY another free child even tho he has the energy of a feral rabid kitten lets gooooo! Nega Magica, being a sweet light mage probably doesn’t seem as cool to Kage as monastery warlock Nega Gladstone but someday I’ll finish writing a short story where Kage gets to see how cool Nega Magica is. Weh.
I have Faustina and Nega Gladstone come from a bloodline that is demonically consumption cursed . What they mainly feed on is luck, like how Paddywack feeds on negative emotions. They also eat more than the usual when it comes to just regular food. I like the idea Kage eats just as much as them, and with his toothy grin people that know Nega Gladstone just assume Kage is biologically his.
Here’s art by @duckbutts69 of Nega Magica and her children. Of Course Kage and Faustina and then the well behaved child Orin that at least she can rely on Orin to take care of her when she gets old. Ha.

Me before Ducktales finale naive and innocent:
Wow how they made reboot Djinn a good guy and his ancestor is a freed genie they totally gonna have him and Gene meet. I mean, also cuz they were in the same movie so of course they'll meet! Even if the final fight it's them side by side fighting baddies with no dialogue I'd be happy with that!
The Finale-

16. Maintenance Duck
I guess my first thought was my not fully fleshed out ideas of what a Negaverse Odin would be like. My headcanon for Nega Donald and Uno is not having them be villains since that would technically be opposite of Donald./Duck Avenger things going on in prime verse. But I like to play around with the idea that Negaverse and Primeverse aren’t  exact opposites. I see Negaduck and Darkwing Duck as having the same big ego.
So in my headcanon, long story short, in ‘present’ time I have Nega Donald having to be a muscle thug for his Uncle Scrooge during the day, but an anti-hero at night helping undo the damage he does for his Uncle during the day. Going by Duck Revenger instead. Uno’s Negaverse version is named Alpha, and a more cynical bitter A.I. He actually doesn’t like organics much. He likes Donald though, and will help and protect him when he does his anti-hero work.
Here’s a lovely commissioned pic of my headcanon for them done by @sleepy-oggyoger
Tumblr media
So anyways, for Negaverse Odin-
So being a little bit further in the future, Scrooge doesn’t have control of Duckburg. For my Nega Odin  I may end up sticking with the name Osiris for. I wish I could find another ‘O’ named god that also means one but it's HARD.
He’s taking care of the citizens of Duckburg because that's what Donald would have wanted, he assumes.. Nega Odin is really- hm- extreme with taking care of the city’s folk. Not in a Darkwarrior Duck way, but in a, kinda very micromanaging way. Like everyone still have freedom, and can even leave the city if they want. But he also has everyone tracked to make sure they’re living the safest healthiest life? Like the average organic adult should go to be at 10 pm. He’s not gonna throw you in prison but he’s gonna have drone he’s talking through show up at 9:45 pm and see why you have had trouble sleeping. If this is your third offense he’s going to take all the caffeine products out of your house and replace it with much healthier things and also here’s some extra healthy groceries for you too. Here’s some new pillows, let the little arms on the drone fluff those pillows for you. Let’s check your organic body readings and see if a medical solution is needed and instantly get a prescription to help.
Nega Odin, for the most part, is being ‘good’ to the citizens of St. Canard but has the energy of Legolas’ Dad in the Hobbit. And like, can give that speech Agent Smith gives in Matrix about how he hates humans but then after that speech on how he’s so disgusted with humanity he’d then offer you a granola bar and tell you to watch your cholesterol and give you a little pat on the head. Run along now child go do a mentally stimulating craft activity.
They do have freedom to leave the city if they want. But If you look at the shit shows going on in St. Canard and Spoonerville (I’m assuming Nega-Spoonerville has some Mad Max stuff going down,)  maybe getting micromanaged by some tech dude but still having a nice life in the long run isn’t THAT bad. I mean, crime is barely anything, and jail is 100% a rehabilitating structure. Free healthcare! Paid a living wage and your boss can’t treat you like crap or Nega Odin himself will show up and fire your BOSS. Not having complete privacy but uh, after having a break up with your partner you got a gift basket from Nega Odin with your favorite foods that bring you comfort and has high Omega-3s to improve mood.  And an encouraging card with a list of upcoming singles mixers. Like alright…. Creepy but cared for? I guess?
And the Duckburg  know Nega Odin something immortal but he doesn’t let him know he’s a robot. They’re left to wonder how he’s not aging over the decades. Maybe he’s a vampire? That would explain some things…. Anyways poor Nega Odin/Osiris feels obligated to take care of/ maintenance these fleshbags because he misses Donald and it's what he thinks Donald would have wanted. Weh.
Man I just realized I kinda had him mirco manage Donald too like, NO CAPES WHEN HEROING AND EAT HEALTHIER and be more polite lets learn  you some manners. So now with Donald gone he’s doing it to the whole city. sobbbb.
