So...I accepted to come to this event on Thursday, which will essentially be a beauty/beautician thingy at the Mission Locale, because I felt the SOS in the eyes of the gal organising it. She's not confident yet organising her own projects and is afraid to be alone so I want to support her (and there's also a discussion on self-esteem afterwards that might be the occasion for some anti makeup propaganda. Plus it's likely gonna be full female event, and we lack that kind of spaces these days, even if it's a beauty culture thing making them happen initially) but gyyyyyns I'm gonna be so out of place. I think I'm kinda past the butch no-return point, given how silly I looked last time I tried one of my old dresses and I'm not sure what they're gonna do with my chewed nails and hands, my shaved head and the fact my whole body beside it is a non-negotiable no-shave-zone.

So...I guess I'm doing femme drag Thursday. Cool. I don't know if being absolutely ridiculous will be fun or terrifying yet. Guess I can go Punk Barbie mode like I did when the film was released, because at least it was consciously intended to be a satyre?
