So there’s this beautiful goddamn game called The Last Night that was suppose to release this year but it got canned because of some SJW nonsense. Apparently, one the creators, Tim Soret, was pegged as anti-feminist and pro-Gamergate; both of these transgressions skewed through the eye of the far left. I did some digging into all of this because i really wanted to pk this game. 80s themed, neon light drenched, cyberpunk spectacle with beautiful pixel art and Verhoven-esque social commentary? How can i not want this thing? What did do say that w so terrible, it effectively bankrupted his company?

Soret is an egalitarian. He is a staunch supporter of equality; legit equality. He believes that everyone should be treated equally; man, woman, child, mexican, asian, Spider-Man, Godzilla, Palpatine, or whatever. There is no superior station in his opinion and he is vocal in that assertion. The problem with that is that SJWs got into his witter and decried him for his beliefs because they were framed against Gamergate, which, itself, had been distorted and mutated into some political stance to detract from the issues that were initially brought to light. Gamergate didn’t start out as some ridiculous with hunt about sexism and discrimination within gaming. It was never suppose to be about how gamers hate women or whatever. What it was about, what it was trying to draw attention, was the rampant corruption in gaming media. How cats were literally trading sex favors for bias reviews and sh*t like that. Guess who didn’t like that expose? The gaming media. Guess who started screaming sexism?The gaming media. Guess who successfully deflected all attention from the very real corruption who simultaneously reinforcing the mainstream view that gamers are basement dwelling neckbeards who are afraid of girls so whenever anyone brings up their wildly distasteful proceedings, they can just write off the accuser as one of these sexist assholes? The gaming media.

Look, there is a very real discussion that needs to be had about the toxic nature of some gamers toward women. That’s a reaity. However, Gamergate was not that discussion. What Gamergate became was a direct result of the attacked media, successfully spinning the narrative, allowing it to be co-opted by legitimate misandrists, White Knights, Nice Guys, and feminazis. As far as a can tell, Soret said as much and these same motherf*ckers did not like that so they campaigned for the better part of a year to destroy this man and his kife work. He even apologized but that didn’t stop anything. These motherf*ckers destroyed everything he tried to create, because they didn’t like his opinion about something that they, themselves, were misinformed and bamboozled into supporting. the sh*t is ridiculous! These cats are out here ruining brilliant creators because they have the gall to remind you that not everything is about oppression or superiority. That feminism is not suppose to be about misandry. That everyone should be treated equally.
