The infamous Tsavo Man Eaters on display in the Field Museum Of Natural History, in Chicago, Illinois. During March - December 1898, these ferocious male lions attacked and killed 135 people in Kenya, many of whom were construction workers, who were helping to build a railway from Kenya to Uganda. They were eventually hunted down and killed by an Irish British Army veteran called Lieutenant colonel John Henry Patterson, who later on went on to write a book about them called The Man Eaters Of Tsavo, which inspired movies such as Bwana Devil, Killers Of Kilimanjaro and The Ghost And The Darkness

J.R. Eyerman (US, 1906 - 1985)
Audience wearing special 3D glasses to view film Bwana Devil, shot with new “natural vision” 3d technology. Paramount Theater, Hollywood, California, November 26, 1952.
There exist at least two versions: one, employed for the cover of the Society of the Spectacle, depicts its elegantly attired audience in a virtually trance-like state of absorption, their faces grim, their lips pursed, the other shot of the same audience, however, the 3-D spectators are laughing, their expressions of hilarity conveying the pleasure of an uproarious, active spectatorship.
A detail of J.R. Eyerman’s photo (1952) was used for the cover design of the 1983 English edition of Guy Debord’s La Société du Spectacle (The Society of the Spectacle). The cropped selection used for the book was also flipped from left to right.

a fun series of facts for y'all, since i've fallen down a loophole:
the epilogue of red dead 1, where jack kills ross, takes place in 1914 (if i'm not mistaken)
the earliest confirmed 3D film shown to an out-of-house audience was the power of love, which premiered at the ambassador hotel theater in los angeles on september 27, 1922. (also a fun fact: if an audience member viewed the ending of the film through just the green lens or just the red lens, they saw a different ending. one happy; one tragic)
this means jack (and any still surviving gang members by that point) were likely around for the first debut of 3D film (and could have potentially seen it themselves)
that said the movie's 3D debut actually wasn't a success (it only showed in 3D once, then was exlusively a 2D film) but... we can dream 😌.
especially bc 3D films did kind of pop up here and there throughout the 1920s-1930s as everyone tried to figure out where the limitations of the tech was. various films showed, mostly between los angeles and new york, but nothing really... stuck.
public interest was really the only thing that bogged it down, until its true revival happened around 1952 (and thus initiating 3D film's "golden era") with the debut of bwana devil (where jack, if surviving, would be in his... 50s? 60s?)

Tumaini Jipya, ndani ya YESU KRISTO
Ni
UAMINIFU MPAKA KUFA
......Ulipewa mali (ofisi/kiwanja/vitu/nk.....
Mfano
..... Upo Dar es Salaam, unasema nipo Bukoba.... Unaulizwa Kwanini umechelewa, unatoa sababu za uongo...... nk
Usiogope, unayo nafasi kugeuka leo, Yaani kuomba Msamaha kwa MUNGU akusamehe maovu yako. Mkabidhi BWANA YESU maisha yako awe BWANA na Mwokozi wako ili ROHO MTAKATIFU aje juu yako na akupe Tunda la Uaminifu.
Rejea
Fear nothing that you are about to suffer. Be aware that the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested [in your faith], and for ten days you will have tribulation.
Be faithful to the point of death [if you must die for your faith], and I will give you the crown [consisting] of life.
