Kentucky Derby 149 Premier Franklin Shirt
This is not Yahoo answers. This is not Fox/CNN/Facebook comment sections. BNBR means play nice — it is the Kentucky Derby 149 Premier Franklin Shirt Furthermore, I will do this best and worst thing about Quora but we wouldn’t be here without it. Read other people’s answers before chiming in with yours. Your first impulse is often the same as other people’s. Quora will teach you about how people think and how to practice divergent thinking, a critical component to creativity. Bomani got his shirts from Quora, specifically, from me and Marc. Last January I sent him a grey Quora t-shirt as well as some to give away at his Q&A session at New York University. I have received t-shirts at the semiannual Top Writer meetups, and from time to time in the past Quora has provided t-shirts for regional meetups in different cities.

Sleep (Mikey Way x Reader)
Tried making this short. Noticed most of my stories are 1k to 2k words so…
I know it’s late and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s, but please know that you are loved, no matter what day it is ❤
———
(Y/n) fell flat on Mikey’s guestroom bed. Her eyes conveyed smudged dark concaves. Her features yelled her fatigue, yet even at 6 am she couldn’t sleep.
She wriggled in his provided skimpy blanket. Not one comfy position. She shut her eyes and awaited for a truant wave of drowsiness. No luck.
She whimpered.
She hooked her nails deep on her bestfriend’s pillow. Her footsteps resonated while she strutted down the silent hall.
“Mikey…” She whispered.
The blonde, who was previously watching Netflix, craned his neck. He looked youthful, he could be easily mistaken as a nineteen year old. She’s quite jealous. Nothing can disturb her more than the fact there is no sign of sleep deprivation in him. Except for the stench of coffee oozing when he talks, most agreed it’s part of his charisma.
“Yeah?” He asked, not moving from the couch.
“I can’t sleep” She pouted.
He scoffed and raised an eyebrow. Oh really? No shit.
He continued navigating his movie options.
“Don’t look at the clock, read books, or something. I don’t know. I’m still not Quora or Yahoo Answers… Zzzz…”
He began the fifth episode of The Umbrella Academy, gambling time to support both Gabriel and his brother’s comic’s Netflix adaption.
His response did not please (Y/n) nor was she offended. She developed full immunity against his unhelpful remarks. She tried them all in the past, in addition to chamomile tea and coloring books, but none kicked it.
Miracles and concerts can possibly make her sleep, but Mikey’s list? That ain’t it, chief.
She sat beside him and rested her head on top of his shoulder. He pretended to remain unfazed and skipped the episode’s intro.
‘This was just what bestfriends do at slumber parties’ he supposed.
He gulped.
‘Alarmingly, slumber parties with (Y/n) invited means no sleeping nor party. Instead of putting her to sleep. I’ll be awake till 6am’
Mikey snaked his hand around her waist. He learned the hard way that Movies intensifies her insomnia so he placed a pillow above his lap, prompting her to lay there as he turned the TV off.
He combed her hair with his slender calloused fingers. This always relaxed her, and step one is always comfort.
“How do you sleep?” She asked yet again, like every other night she calls.
“I close my eyes and don’t think” If Mikey sounded monotone, then he’s robotic now.
“You know I can’t do the last part…” (Y/n) muttered.
“Then I’ll have to tire you out by thinking a lot”
-
“Wait, so you’re saying that unicorns aren’t real cause it’s not in bible?” He whisper-yelled. The outburst raised her eyebrow, but nothing she ain’t used to.
Reluctantly, she answered “Umm yeah, and there’s no actual records of horses with a horn and a lion’s tail”
He scoffed “Bullshit. The Englishmen have documented and seen shit”
“Sorry to burst your bubble sweetie, do me a favor and buy a Merriam English dictionary. It’ll clearly state it’s an imaginary animal”
Sweetie.
She called me sweetie.
That’s so adorable—
His face hardened. No. Unicorns, Mikey. Think Unicorns. Be the sass princess middle school girl you truly are.
“Unicorns aren’t real Mikey” He mocked (he really only had the confidence to say this after punching poor Ryan)
“Who are you? Mr Ross from AP Chemistry?” He referred to the Professor who argued the same point (Y/n) had.
She shook her head in disappointment “Better than a mid-twenties man who still watches My Little Pony”
He bobbed his head “Yeah, you got me”
She blinked a couple of times and pinched her cheek roughly. A load of air piled in her lungs as she began to shake.
“Did you just—” She gawked “Did you just smirked?!”
His face solidified “No.”
“I swear I saw you smiled just earlier” She exhaled in disbelief.
“For twelve straight years I thought you were a robot!” She placed a hand on her mouth and proceeded to muffle her squeal.
He may look calm and ready but inside he’s as nervous as teenagers on remedial exams. Not now. Damn it, he’s saving that grin for a special occassion! This is so anticlimactic.
Fuck! What to do, what to do.
His caffeinated eyes rambled everywhere. The television, his remote, the poster Gerard superglued in his kitchen and a spectroscopic dust became the most intriguing items in the planet. It was amusing, especially for (Y/n) who counted the unbreakable strike now shattered in both their faces.
Suddenly, with fidgety hands the younger Way lifted and carried her to bed. Course, she didn’t complain, she opted it as a sign of weakness and forfeit and talked nonstop. She’d be lying if she said this didn’t caused her internal butterflies to flutter, but who’s asking?
He gently laid her down the bed. Before she could sit down and mock him more, he snatched her wrists and pushed her down.
“Alright” He said shakily “H-hate to break it to you (Y/n), but you’ve been lucid dreaming this whole time and you know it”
She giggled “No I’m not—
Mikey plastered the pillow to her face, almost suffocating her. Or maybe that was the point?
“Go. To. Sleep.” He whispered to her free ear “You’re dreaming (Y/n), wake up!”
She sounded like she was saying “but!”, but it was muffled.
“Shh…” He removed his grip and scooted beside her “Sleep.”
She rolled her eyes. There’s no way he’d let her speak. She knew whenever Mikey puts his mind on something he can accomplish anything. This is one of those scenarios.
Then again, she does feel tired… Quite the shocking rumor huh?
There she is, looking like a drop dead porcelain doll in Mikey’s arms, more artistic than a Franz Anton Bustelli masterpiece.
His eyes batted at the realization of burden close to his chest. He can’t move. She looks exceptionally peaceful in his arms, and there’s no alternate universe in which he’ll pass the opportunity not to absorb her features. In fact, in the first two minutes there’s a list of details in his head already.
And those little things gravitated his face a kissing meter away from her.
He shut his eyes. This is it. The moment he shook, daydreaming about for so long he can barely remember the beginning of this fantasy.
Their first kiss.
The situation felt so good to be true. Just a peck and he’d he satisfied.
He flinched.
No.
It wouldn’t feel right sealing her first kiss when she’s asleep.
It would be his first kiss and her goodnight sleep.
He considered it long before he seperated himself tenderly, and replaced a pillow for her to snuggle. This night isn’t about him, it’s about her, and if he had to wait long for her to sleep, then he had to wait longer for their kiss.
Believe me, that was an excruciating decision. It’s so easy to entice his temptation that he nearly did both him and her dirty.
But it was the best thing to do.
It’s 2am, birds are already warbling outside and the aroma of coffee is as strong as yesterday. On Mikey’s path out of the room, he casted his gaze to (Y/n)’s face one last time. He scowled.
“I’d rather let her see me smile than no one at all”

Why do i reference my old fanfictions? I don’t know either
BUT THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY MAN, WATCH IT. I’m trash for the comics so much that I will take whatever crap happened in the Netflix Adaption
Update: I finished it. So good. There are tons of changes from what I read from the comicscbut still a series worth watching. Plus, we get to see more of Ben and Delores unlike the comics :D
Trust me, it’s good
P.S:
I know it’s a shameless self promotion but I’ve busied myself making a The Umbrella Academy [mainly the apocalypse suite] in a nutshell video.
So far I’m just in the introduction:

Quora offers a cornucopia of information that you didn’t know you wanted, but so frequently find thanks to on-point search engine optimization. Founded in 2009 by former executives from Facebook, Quora was seen as one of the hottest companies in the post-Facebook wave of social media. It’s not really a destination platform, but thanks to its popularity on search engines, it became the sort of place where you ended up accidentally to try and satisfy a curiosity without diving deep into the dark depths of the internet.
The information on the site is crowdsourced and can be superficial — you wouldn’t cite it in your term paper — and the posters are sometimes anonymous. Quora employs moderators to try to keep forums clean and root out bad behavior.
Over time, it evolved into a more organized Yahoo Answers, a classier Reddit, an opinionated Wikipedia. It became especially popular in elite tech circles — as a precursor to their “thought leadership” on self-publishing platforms like Medium — which definitely didn’t hurt its valuation, judged by Silicon Valley investors to be $900 million five years later.
But when investors were putting that type of price tag on it, Quora was making no money. In fact, the decade-old company is still new to the whole making-money thing. The company for a long time had an internal desire to not clutter the site with advertisements, before finally relenting in 2016 and accepting its first ad placement from Uber. Ads are still relatively sparse.
“Nobody likes banner ads, ads from shady companies, or ads that are irrelevant to their needs,” the company said at the time. “However, we are optimistic that we will be able to introduce ads on Quora in a way that will fit in well and ideally make the product better.”
But the reason why investors are betting on what, at first blush, could appear to be a meaningless pile of content, is that Quora, if successful, is a powerful avenue to reach 300 million information-seeking people a month. It is especially popular in India, where over 20 percent of its visitors come from, according to Alexa data.
Quora’s advertising engine holds a lot of promise: “What’s the best car seat for my toddler?” would tell you that, well, the person on the other side of the keyboard might want to buy a car seat for a toddler. “Should I invest in bitcoin?” is a pretty targeted page, you’d think, for an advertiser like Coinbase. Particularly large advertisers on Quora are software companies, online education providers, and financial services firms.
So to some extent, Quora is more similar to a Google or an Amazon than it is to a Facebook.
Another key draw is that Quora pages, unlike an Instagram story or a Facebook event, have a longer shelf life and can offer relevant information that doesn’t grow stale with time. (That being said, sometimes your Google search can return a lot of answers from Quora’s early days.)
But unlike Facebook, Quora knows no demographic information about its nonregistered users, which makes its copious content less monetizable. And while 300 million monthly users sounds like a lot — about the same number of monthly users as Twitter, a $30 billion public company — Quora’s are not nearly as engaged, often brought to a particular individual page because of a random search or two.
The company is hoping to improve on its revenue struggles, and it recently hired its first chief revenue officer, Arnie Gullov-Singh, to turbocharge its sales program.
But despite some challenges with some investors, Quora CEO Adam D’Angelo shouldn’t be wanting for money. He himself is quite rich from his years as Facebook’s first chief technology officer, so wealthy that he in fact put $20 million of his own money into the company’s Series B round of financing.
D’Angelo today maintains pretty tight control over the company. In an unusual set-up, the only other voting member on Quora’s two-person board of directors alongside the CEO is Benchmark Capital investor Matt Cohler, who has been helping to pitch this round in Silicon Valley, according to a person familiar with the matter. Valor is not expected to hold a voting board seat.
What is Quora’s future? Its leadership in the past has said it wants to stay perpetually independent. An IPO seems not in the cards any time soon, given its revenue situation. For now, it appears to be just like so many other Silicon Valley startups: with a rich valuation but not much money. Except this one is a decade old.

If you’ve been in the Internet Marketing environment for some time. I bet you’ve heard the terms “Inbound Marketing” and “Outbound Marketing”. Not that you necessarily know each of them imply, but you’ve seen those terms in couple of different places.
It is important to know about each of those marketing types as it will provide you better idea about how each of them work and put all this in your advantage.
This is what you’ll get in this blog post, hopefully :).
So let’s just get into each of them and identify some examples of each of them:
Outbound Marketing
Outbound marketing is simply platforms that allow you to go out to people to get them to your business. This marketing type is vitally important specially if you’re just starting out. Without getting people to your business, you’ll simply have no business.
There are many Outbound Marketing platforms but I’ll outline some as examples:
Forums / Discussion Board
Forums are one of the most popular platforms of Outbound Marketing, it is a very powerful as you can brand yourself professionally there.
When you get into a forum, you’ll get many posts of people needing help on your niche. You can create your own profile as well as place your Online Business website within the profile of your account to be shown in every reply you post in the forum.
This is a very powerful way of making your website viral, as people may share it to others.
The key to brand yourself correctly is simply to provide value. Don’t scam people or reply only for the sake of replying.
Quora
In case you haven’t heard about Quora, it is a very popular question answer website. This is yet another very powerful platform to use.
You can simply see where people’s demands are in your industry by looking at their questions. This will help you in many ways.
You can answer the question professionally to get people’s attention. You can even make a new product based on that demand to get sales out of it.
Reddit
Reddit is the fifth most popular website in the United States, this shows the huge number of traffic entering it.
It is a collection of forums in which people keep accessing to get useful information or ask whatever they want.
Again, here’s your chance to brand yourself through providing value in your replies.
Social Media
Nowadays, Social Media plays an an important role in our life. Not Only marketers, almost everyone has at least one Social Media platform account.
This is why it’s a really great opportunity for marketers. Just imagine getting in front of thousands if not millions of users and provide your services, products or some free valuable content.
Social Media is considered Outbound Marketing because you can go to other people’s accounts to like and comment valuable content to grab their (and their follower’s) attention.
It is also considered Inbound Marketing as well and this will be discussed later in this blog post.
Yahoo Answers
Yet another simple but popular platform to take advantage of.
Yahoo Answers have been there for quite a while and it’s still attracting many people to it.
It’s a question and answer website and you can see the opportunity it provides you.
Inbound Marketing
Inbound Marketing is the marketing platforms that attracts people to you. You don’t need to go to other people to attract them, they will look for you and find your content themselves.
You’ll get to this level once you brand yourself properly after a while providing continuous value to other people interested in your niche.
Here are some of Inbound Marketing platforms:
Blog
Having a blog is very powerful.I can say easily it’s one of the best ways to show yourself as an authority if used properly.
You can put different types of content in your blog. You can use it to put valuable content (video, text, audio…etc), promote products (yours or other people’s as an affiliate), make important announcements.
Once you brand yourself correctly, there are people who will look for you and probably find your blog.
Reading your different valuable content will make them love you even more and thus gain loyal customers who are hungry to keep buying from you.
YouTube
YouTube is the top Video website in the globe. I don’t need to explain the power of YouTube as you already can see that.
If you have a YouTube Channel and you’ve been branding yourself for quite a while, many people will be interested in visiting your channel to see your different videos to get more value from you.
Facebook Page / Group
Facebook is the most popular Social Media platform for some time until today. I believe it will continue for quite a long time in the future.
The reason I believe that is because Facebook has an insane amount of information of it’s users. Marketers can use this to their advantage as being specific on choosing their prospects increases the odds of their success online.
Facebook Pages or Groups attract people to join as they can engage with other like minded people with the same interests.
Social Media
Yet again Social Media comes into the picture. I’ve already explain why it is considered an Outbound Marketing so it’s time to explain why it is an Inbound Marketing platform as well.
When you keep posting on your Social Media account and brand yourself for quite a while, you attract others to visit your account and get more value from your continuous valuable content.
They won’t have to pay to get to you and will benefit from your content, so why would they skip this opportunity?
Just try to keep posting valuable stuff in your account, you’ll be surprised with the pass of time that new people keep following you without you even knowing about it.
I hope I provided value explaining about Inbound Marketing and Outbound Marketing. It is vital that you know about them to be able to start your business the right way. Just start out with Outbound Marketing and as time passes you’ll gain the advantage of Inbound Marketing.

how to improve your reading in your target language(s)
@ all my langblr here on tumblr, if you don’t know how to practice your reading skills in your target language(s) and you can’t afford to buy a book, or you wanna try something different than that, you could:
-read articles on weheartit: there are many interesting and cute articles in there, most of them are written in a simple language. Plus, you can also find a lot of aesthetically pleasing pictures!
- use Quora: so, that’s probably because i’m a little stupid, but i didn’t know what Quora was since last month. It’s a website where you can ask questions about many different subjects and everyone can answer. I read about many interesting things, learnt new stuff about some topics and actually improved my reading! I know you could say “but, it’s basically like Yahoo Answer” (which you can use too, if you want) but no! It’s more clever. And I like the graphic of this one more( sorry, Yahoo). Here are some interesting answers I found there(they’re in english, but you can choose any other language): https://www.quora.com/What-do-Italians-think-of-foreigners-who-learn-try-to-speak-Italian https://www.quora.com/What-did-the-Spartans-Greeks-and-Persians-eat-during-the-battle-of-Thermopylae https://www.quora.com/Who-were-the-ancestors-of-Greeks
- Wikipedia: this is actually really basic but, have you ever tried to read something related to your country in other language? Like, something about a museum or a monument or even a traditional food, but in your target language? I think it’s the funniest thing to do. Not only you will improve your grammar and your reading comprehension’s skills, you will also learn brand new stuff about something you thought you already knew! I have tried this thing for the first time when I had to explain to my brazilian friend, Kami, what a “arancina” is (which, for the record, is a traditional Sicilian food) and it was so funny, I still do it sometimes.
So, these are my main recommendations. Another thing that was useful for me when I started reading in my target languages were fanfictions, but i know many people don’t like them. Also, it’s really difficult to find a well written fanfiction in each fandom you love (in my case, they’re too many). Feel free to tell me what other things to do to improve your reading skills, I’d love to receive some advises. I’m sorry for my English, as you may know, it’s not my native language (you’re basic Italian girl is here, y’all).
