A Mad Zombie Party By Gena Showalter
This is the 4Th in the series and it just gets better and better.   This one is written from Frosty's POV.  It gives an in depth look at him and what he has gone through.  It also has Mila's POV and boy do we learn that not everything is as it seems.  Mila is an outcast and Frosty hates her! Can he put aside his hate and work with her for his lost love Kat's sake?  Speaking of Kat... She makes a re-appearance as well.  I love how everything works out and totally recommend this book.  If you enjoyed the others - you will enjoy this one too!
I give it 5 out of 5 stars!

The Healing Power Of Sugar by:C.L. Stone
I can't get enough of this series! I really love it! It just such a sweet book. My problem with this series is that it's not really getting anywhere.  They are the same ages, have the same things going on.  You get the idea... it's time for them to grow up some.  Sang and the guys are getting closer together and falling for each other.  Who knows if they will all go for the "plan" or not.  It’s hard to imagine how it would work with all of the guys dating the same girl, but I can't wait for more! I love that it’s easy to read and isn’t filled with sex from cover to cover. :-)
I give it 4 out of 5 stars

Dark Crime by Christine Feehan
This book is part of an anthology called Edge of Darkness.  I didn’t read the whole thing so this review is only for Christine Feehans part.  A young woman named Blaze is out for revenge against the man who killed her father.  She makes a plan that will more than likely end in her death.  She ends up getting help from a man, actually a Carpathian named Maksim, who pleads with her to wait and let him help. It turns out that this man is who she is destined to be with. She is the light to his darkness.  If you have been reading her Dark series then you know what that means! If not, What are you waiting for? Get reading, it’s great...
I give this 5 out of 5 stars!

Earth Bound by Christine Feehan
I loved this book, like I did the others in this series.  The girls are strong characters and don't wilt and swoon. I like that the guys are dominant but realize that the girls have a say in their own lives LOL.  This one in particular had a female lead, Lexi, that had a stalker who had abused her as a child. She needed  to be taken care of and all of the characters surround her with help and love. The brothers are totally HOT and love with their whole hearts even though they had a rough upbringing.  We meet Gavrill this time who all of the brothers are leery of.  All of the 6 women are bound by the elements and have been drawn like a beacon to Sea Haven.  I certainly recommend this whole series.
I give it 5 out of 5 stars!

Lost with a Grizzly by Desiree Moon
OK, this is not a bad story at all. There were some misspelled words that caught my attention throughout.  That is nothing that a little editing couldn't fix though.  It a novella, about 100 pages long.   The main gist of the story is a woman who falls in love with 2 men... both of them are bear shifters.  The men love her back.  There is plenty of hot sex if that is what you are looking for. It is a little more than I usually like. I just skimmed through it. This is very much an alpha male, boy save girl book. I happen to like those though. :-)
I give it 3 out of 5 stars

After Dark - Lords fo the Underworld 4.5 by Gena Showalter
Can I just say... YAY! It’s the story of Lysander and Bianca. It’s a novella but I didn’t feel short changed at all.  All I really need to say is “It’s an angel and a Harpy “ LOL Lysander has never felt desire before and boy does Bianca give him trouble.
I give this one 5 out of 5 stars!

Werewolves of New York , book 2 -Eli by Faleena Hopkins
No cliffhangers here even though it is the second book in a series.  I love that! I still think it would help to read them in order only because you would get to know the characters better. This book focuses on ELI one of 4 werewolves in a pack that  works in the business world instead of rough guys from the woods.  The woman is Rose, a smart, curvy lawyer who is best friends with the woman from book 1.  Sparks fly of course and even though he made a pact with one of the other guys to stay single he can’t help but be turned on by the sassy lady.  There are some steamy love scenes so if you don’t like sex in your books, steer clear of this one.
I give this one 3 out of 5 stars

A Risk Worth Taking by Heather Hildenbrand
First I will admit that I am a huge fan of Heather Hildenbrand.  I really loved this adorable sorry of new love and Summer was a strong character without losing her feminine charm. So basically you have a girl named Summer who has returned to the family farm to help her dad after her parents divorce. She is having trouble accepting her new reality and is very angry at her mom.  In walks the new intern, Ford! I won’t ruin the story for any of you but they both help each other to move on and live life to the fullest.  Great read!
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars :-)

Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Cinder is a retelling/reimagining of the Cinderella story. In this version, Cinder is the same kindhearted, strong, lovable character that we think of in a Cinderella story. The difference is that in this story she is a cyborg. She actually gets along with one of her stepsisters. She doesnt remember her life before becoming a cyborg, only that her father adopted her and then died. There is a prince and they do fall for each other but there are many twists and turns as a plague has decended over the city. Will Cinder help the prince stop the plaque? What will the evil queen from the moon say about the situation? You’ll have to read to find out since I am not giving any spoilers. :-) I will tell you that all is not what it seems in Cinders life. This is the start of a series. I think 4 books in all, Enjoy!

The Darkest Angel By Gena Showalter
I am reviewing The Darkest Angel By Gena Showalter. First off, let me say that I am a huge fan of Gena Showalter so when I saw the opportunity to read about Lysander and Bianca's story I knew that I had to read it. I was not disappointed. It was fun to see the way that they came together and see another side to Lysander. If you have been reading the Lords of the Underworld series I recommend giving this  a try as well. I give this one 4/5 stars

Generation By Heather Hildenbrand
I can't say enough great things about this series! This is the third book and I can't get enough. I love the concept and the writing really drew me in.  In this series we are following Ven who is an imitation of Raven. Rich people have these imitations (clones) made of themselves to pull out in emergency cases. The imitations spend their entire lives training to be the originals so that no one will be able to tell them apart. Well, of course it was going to go wrong. :-) Absolute power corrupts absolutely! So, the man in charge is Ravens dad and he wants control of everything. All he needs to do is replace a few key politicians and big wigs and he will get his wish.  What he doesn't count on is that the imitations want there own lives and while they can pretend to be the originals, they have their own personalities.  Ven teams with other imitations and some originals to save the day, but it is not without some pain and loss along the way. Will they succeed? Who may be lost along the way? Read to find out... Love this series - 5/5 stars from me

The Academy- Accessory by C.L. Stone
This book is number 4 in the Scarab Beetle series. We are once again part of the lives of Kayli and the Academy boys.  She is always getting into trouble and the boys are very protective. In this part of the story they go aboard a cruise ship and plan to do some fact gathering. Kayli manages to move into a co-lead position and becomes determined to make them all respect her and see her in a more dominating roll. The little kisses and subtle touches finally turn into more as she gets pretty hot and heavy with one of her guys, all while falling in love with them all.  Secrets come to light as Kayli tries to make everyone happy.  Will Blake join the Academy in a future book? I hope so, I think after this book it shows that they can all work together and that he is good for Kayli. I look forward to seeing how the relationships all play out and if they all agree to an all inclusive relationship.
I loved it, 4 stars from me

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I normally read paranormal books with the average array of characters. You know the ones I mean... vampires, werewolves, any shifter really. I hadn't considered reading about aliens before but I am so glad that I gave it a chance. I loved the interplay between Daemon and Katy. It was a little over the top which bothered me occasionally although he did have a reason. Daemon is the gorgeous jerk next door who has a twin sister Dee. Dee and Katy become fast friends and that is what leads Katy to the truth of who they are as well as bringing on the danger. I went back and forth from loving Daemon to hating him. There is a really sweet/steamy kiss a little over half way through that made me want to clap and say FINALLY! Anyway, I liked the book and encourage you to give it a try. I plan to read the next book. I'm hoping that a few more characters will be fleshed out a little more as we go. :-)

Wool by  Hugh Howey
So, I went into this book thinking “There is no way that I will like this, but I will give it a go”.  The result was wonderful! I loved this book. I even added the next 2 books in the series to my list.  The book is set in the future where people are living in Silos because the environment outside isn’t livable any more. Nobody even remembers living any other way. They have created a sort of class system where the more important people live Up Top and the general laborers live down toward the bottom.  A brave few want to know the truth that is being kept from them. I recommend this book, it is definitely worth your time. :-)
Wool - I rate it * * * * 4 Stars!
