Oh and to add. You might think that “All the time a big head/A big head all the time” means something special in Finnish. It doesn’t. They just say that. The pike has a big head and its head is big at all times. It sounds a little better in Finnish but that is precisely all there is to that one lyric lmao

#not to mention the “national fish days” which i chose to translate as national fish festival for better understanding #similar to kotkas maritime festival literally being called kotkas maritime days in finnish #it can be inferred that perhaps the pike is a dish at the festival? and its very good hence why its given a first place award #the pike is welcomed into stockholm as a beloved and reoccurring food dish. food being one part of why we like fish it seems fitting!#but… personally i like to imagine that the pike is a guest at the festival haha #later in the song the singer suggests to the pike that they should swim together to open water #this makes the pike seem more like a subject who is being sung to. an honoured guest who has a song dedicated to them!#dont ask me if the pike is literally just a fish or like. an anthropomorphic pike. could be either in this stockholm fish festival -#universe (as far as i know there is no such thing in real life)
