i hate every "best visual novels of all time you have to play!" article because it's always just a list of american published freeware stuff, and obviously there's nothing wrong with those, i love hatoful boyfriend too, but on your "must play" list you dont even have a single work that was originally japanese language? in this genre invented in japan? nothing that takes more an an hour to beat? come on. you're literally just parroting everyone else and have never actually played this genre yourself. i barely know anything about VNs myself, but what about the fate series? steins gate? higurashi? UMINEKO? dmmd?

i havent even finished most of the games i just listed. but my god, they're a START
