this is an interesting concept but i'm going to disagree.
madara doesn't really talk about izuna ever, he keeps that to himself. madara kinda just…. doesn't tell people stuff. he didn't even tell obito he had more than one sibling.
moreover, i don't think madara really thought extremely highly of izuna's abilities - not bc he thought izuna was a weakling or something but bc his view of strength/genius is pretty much based around hashirama, and anyone who can't measure up to that had to do serious damage to him to even really register as an opponent at all. and izuna could have only ever really been his ideological opponent, and since madara took the side of izuna and his clan when it came to peace, that never played out.
almost all information we have about izuna at all comes from people who aren't madara, all of whom gave that information to the audience for the sole purpose of manipulating another character (almost exclusively sasuke) - that is, itachi, obito, and hashirama. we have no idea where itachi got all of his info from, presumably a mix of obito and whatever was accessible to him in the clan, but we know a good chunk of it was bs from the beginning, and itachi is both a known liar and also frequently just wrong about shit. obito actually got his knowledge straight from the source, but we don't know how much of what he was told was the truth, we don't know how much of what he told sasuke was what madara told him, and the only thing we really do know is that a good chunk of it was straight-up not true at all.
our final source is hashirama, who's probably the most reliable source regardless of his own agenda in his storytelling bc most of what he tells us about izuna is from having actually met the guy, but even then he's more focused on how izuna's existence affects madara, and all we really get from him is that izuna was actually killed by tobirama, it was izuna and the uchiha clan rather than madara himself who opposed peace (possibly also the senju clan; hashirama didn't really seem all that interested in what his clan thought about it lol), and presumably gave his eyes to madara willingly (which isn't nothing, especially since it kind of renders both itachi and obito's accounts of izuna devoid of much actual info on izuna himself).
what we know from madara is that he views izuna's eyes as the last remnant of izuna that still exists, and that he's willing to use those eyes to achieve his own ends in ways izuna likely wouldn't have been ok with (tell me he would've been down with his own uchiha eyeballs in an uzumaki's skull. look at me and tell me that. it's bs). what he told hashirama about izuna when they were kids was pretty much just "i have one brother left and i will protect him no matter what", which.... doesn't really speak to madara viewing izuna as a brilliant genius who could take care of himself (tho again this is in large part due to madara being so stupidly strong that most people are basically just not really going to register to him as threats).
in my eyes, madara's hurt over the clan's rejection of him was more due to how said rejection reinforced the deep-seated trust issues he's had since childhood (madara's relationship with trust is weird as hell, but i'm pretty comfortable saying he honestly didn't trust izuna all that much. not in a way where he thought izuna was going to betray him or the clan, but in the sense of not really thinking he could rely on him to support him, which. he couldn't).
madara is a character whose struggles with communication are readily apparent, but while i think he does resent his clan to some degree over their turning away from him, he's also aware that it's in part his own fault (tho i think his reasoning as to why is incorrect, or at best deeply flawed).
none of this is to say that madara didn't love izuna, bc of course he did, or that he wasn't proud of him (i assume he was, tho it's hard to be sure), but.... i really don't think there's anything in the manga that supports this theory; most of what i recall (can't get up to check rn bc most of my volumes are at home and also my cat is sitting on me) actively contradicts it.
Tumblr media
#naruto#naruto shippuden#meta#uchiha madara#uchiha izuna#ngl i feel like this is a take you can only get if you decide that madara was a good brother (he probably was)#and then assign him a Designated Good Relationship Trait (i.e. bragging about someone you care for)#but it really doesn't work here imo that's just not how madara operates#like this is the man who saw gai open the seventh gate and said it was insulting bc he didn't go right to the eighth. which would kill him#this is the man who dismissed tsunade as both a shinobi and a mednin until she punched through his susanoo and regenerated her stab wound#this is the man who sat down in the middle of a battlefield bc hashirama sent a clone to fight him instead of his real body#this is not a man with reasonable expectations of strength from his opponents#also again madara straight-up does not tell people shit. he's the embodiment of that ''fuck you for coming to my ted talk'' post#it's possible izuna bragged about him i guess but we really don't see enough of izuna to know for sure#also all we know for sure about the uchiha clan's feelings towards madara post-founding is that madara thought they didn't trust him#and tobirama claimed the same#we never actually see any non-madara uchiha say anything on the matter. even izuna and tajima don't say very much in hashirama's flashback#there's enough evidence to suggest madara was correct in his assessment but it's still possible he wasn't (i think he was personally tho)#but yeah. tldr interesting theory i don't agree and here's why

why do you talk about Louis using blue and green signalling as if it isn't about Harry, that what the blue and green are- do you not believe in larrie?
short answer for the reading challenged trolls to cut down on asks yes I am a larrie, not that anything is wrong with not being one. But longer (much more interesting imo) answer: We know H and L were together, but no one really knows if they are still or again- I personally mostly believe that they are, but I get why people don't think so and can't see any reason to get pressed about it. But you make a solid point- blue and green and certainly things like Louis wearing the H shirt don't potentially signify anything other than larry right? Well that's what makes it so interesting to me- I kind of don't think Louis IS using those things that way! As my recent anon pointed out (and I agree) he wants people to think he is Freddie's dad, he is not presently trying to be perceived as gay in the face of people trying to force him in the closet- he is in charge of his image and is choosing to publicly put forward that he is a guy who got someone pregnant and dates women. And I do think him and H are together, but I don't think he particularly wants to talk to us about that, if that makes sense? But I believe he does want to connect with his beloved fans on a more personal level, to revel in the acceptance and love and shared wink, I know you know I know, me and you until the end, our eyes meet, together we're the greatest- and I think he uses the larry imagery to do that, rather than to talk about his relationship. I could do this for days he gives us SO MANY examples to choose from but just to pick one: the all blue and green lighting for All This Time. Think about it- if he actually had images of a rainbow flag on the screens at his shows or waved one or something, it would make the articles and press and be a whole thing and revive every rumor ever about him in every tabloid! But if he makes the entire lighting and screens for a song blue and green (or wears a shirt with a giant H on it or any of the other one million coded things he does), well so what? No journalist would think a thing of it, nothing to see here- but the larrie majority of his fanbase hears him saying "you were right about everything and yes I am gay and I love you for seeing it" and go completely bananas! It's fucking ingenious tbh, SBB at his finest! And the fact that the song he chose for his current unhinged bluegreener fest was All This Time was for me the thing that really cemented this theory for me; I know some people disagree, but to me that song reads as being about him being closeted and his public life and the fans and choosing this lighting for that rather than for like We Made It or something really feeds my conviction that he is bluegreening on main as a way to tell us that he is gay rather than to tell us anything about his personal relationship. TLDR yeah I DO think he is signaling, a lot, but I don't think it tells us anything about the status of his relationship with Harry or anyone else and the reasons I think they are together don't have anything to do with Louis' stage lighting choices, but also that means I don't think it makes sense to say he's not signaling anything ever because you don't think they're together; both can coexist and I think it's just weird to act like he's not making pretty clear choices

DO THE GEO VISION HOLDERS DESERVE THEIR ELEMENT?
First thing first...
GEO SYMBOLISM
Crystallise is similar to swirl, in that it's an almost universal reaction. Collecting the elemental crystal gives you a shield.
Contracts are an interesting association, however I believe it's due to how contracts are in theory rigid and sturdy, protecting the agreeing parties.
This is another element I can see with the concept of knowledge due to fossils, preserving history in a way.
I can also see loyalty and stubbornness, with rocks remains unmoving for years.
Rocks are hard and reliable, and protects us from weather. Which is why we normally house ourselves in structures made from rocks.
Precious ores and gems being products of the earth allows for an association in elegance, beauty and wealth. Already you can associate geo with a certain rich mommy.
The earth is also old AF. But that doesn't apply to any of our playable vision holders. :/
NINGGUANG
She's the leader of Liyue, and she's rich.
Born into poverty, she has a rags-to-riches element to her story.
Interestingly, she's not as controversial of a character that I thought she would be, but that's not what you're here for so :p
NOELLE
MY DAUGHTER THAT CAN DO NO WRONG!
If she fails her knight exam again, forget Albedo, forget whatever plans the Fatui or the Abyss Order is hatching, I WILL DESTROY MONDSTADT MYSELF.
Noelle's a hardworking, strong ,reliable, dense sweetheart of a shielder. I ship her with The Traveller so hard.
These traits makes her feel perfect for the element.
I am giggling as I write this, she's so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
ALBEDO
It's heavily implied Albedo is made from Chalk.... which is a mineral.... earth
That and like Sucrose, he's also an Alchemist.... so the universal crytalise reaction... yeah...
GOROU
He's a reliable character, and he's loyal. Rock
ITTO
Itto and Paimon have similar characterisations now that I come to think of it.... anyways.
hard headed
dense
stubborn
strong
protects his found family
YUN JIN
An argument can be made for elegance, but I feel I should give a Doylist reasoning for her specifically.
You see... Genshin kinda gets away with a lot of China's censorship laws [we still get femboys] because the CCP see's it as an opportunity to showcase China's rich artistic culture to the rest of the world.
Which is why 'Devine Damsel of Devastation' slaps so hard and why we're getting another vision holder that showcases another one of China's art forms.
While dance may work with flowing elements such as hydro and anemo, maybe even pyro for dances like flamenco, peking opera may seems to align with geo more aesthetically compared to the other elements.
So yeah.
Anyone else planning to pull for Gaming?
NAVIA
She's such a sunshine lab FFS she makes me so happy!!!!!!
A reliable character, who's pretty strong. This girl summons canons in her burst, heavenly principles protect this woman from any more sadness, gods bless.
She has the desire to help and protect people.
She once again feels like she could be associated with gemstones, like, if you take a gem in sunlight and see the colourful refractions in the light, that feeling, you know. She feels like that feeling, you get me?
I don't know how to explain just how happy she makes me feel.
my words can't word how the feeling me feel.
CHIORI
I feel obligated to pull for her since we're in the same field... ALSO TLDR at the end of hers if you're not that interested in fashion.
Fashion is a large umbrella term that gets a lot of bad rep in media, specifically Haute Couture, Avant Garde sets or the artisanal fashion sub branches , you know, the ones that are not meant for regular wear and is meant to be new and never seen before or to make a statement.
But you're not here for the essays I have to write on fashion , you're here for Chiori and here's my analysis on a character we know about from just one quest.
She's shown to be reliable, and is well-connected which is necessary if you wish to thrive in creative fields.
I was gonna talk about how she has to be commissioned for an outfit and how this makes her brand closer to that of a luxury brand, until I realised that Teyvat doesn't seem to have fast fashion brands... and then I realised that she owns a boutique and not a tailor shop, which DOES make her a luxury brand owner. so...
She made Kirara's outfit, she states that she used her as a walking advertisement for her brand, so its probably not quite luxury, something closer to Gucci where you can see and recognise the logo. but at the same time, it could just be that she expects Kirara to say her name if anyone asks about the outfit, since there is no major design element that's repeated in Kirara's and Navia's outfit.
[I finished typing the above and realised that all that matters is whether she has a luxury brand or not, and not which type but im not deleting all that brainpower I put into that.]
she also designed the costumes Lyney and Lynette wear for their shows.
So, her works are specifically decorative pieces, she does put enough thought into her designs, however, making the front of Navia's dress open to allow for more freedom in movement.
SO TLDR FOR CHIORI:
reliable
rich [luxury]
gemstone association [decoration]
CONCLUSION
Compared to Anemo, Geo seems actually have noticeable standards in who worthy of wielding it.
Which may mean that anemo is the Hermes Cabin for vision holders that don't fit the ideals of the other elements, which feels about right.
As long as you do what you love to do, then you get the anemo vision because YOU give yourself the freedom you need to what you love, and no-one should take that away from you, you can't be defined by the other elements but what makes you different fits with what freedom is about.
so... electro next... see ya!

I see some good points here, but at the same time I don't. In my opinion, Ghostbur is not sus, and this is why:
- The not having echo in his voice is not smth new. The first time ghostbur appeared he didn't have the echo in his voice. It was just cc!Wilbur choice to give him echo, months later (I think in exile arc? Not too sure). Maybe cc!Wilbur couldn't use the echo-voice today. Who knows (that's why I say that it is a good point, but at the same time is not). The important part is that Ghostbur is still with that voice of him.
- He has been in water before. Probably just the rain hurts him.
- I don't really understand that point srryy
- He's been reading Wilbur's memories. And the story of the server in general. So yeah, he probably knows that.
- That's a good point! I've read some theories about it which are really interesting!!
- Ghostbur likes the rain! He just can't touch Remember that Philza stream, where Philza was in house arrest and Ghostbur was in his house too? And he was touching the rain? Philza had to tell him to stop it since he was going to melt. But ghostbur was laughing. (You can find it on youtube if you search "ghostbur and rain")
- Ghostbur says that Wilbur is a bad guy, but at the same time he recognizes that "he had the longest period of peace", and in his Doomsday stream and the Resurrection stream he says a lot of good things about Wilbur too. There is a reason why he wants to be resurrected, even if he (ghostbur) is going to die with it.
- That's a good point too!
So yeah, tldr: There are some points in which I agree that Ghostbur seems a little sus; but the other points are just things that have always been from the character.
PD: I am srry if this doesn't make sense. My native language is not English XD
Day by day, I am closer and closer to believing that Ghostbur and Wilbur are connected somehow. There are too many telltale signs of this, which I will be explaining under the cut.
In recent times, Ghostbur has been acting quite off and not really... "Ghostbur"-ly. Some examples of this from Tubbo's recent stream are:
Not having echo in his voice.
Repeatedly jumping into water despite water hurting him.
Being able to recall George Washington from the Hamilton Musical aka the person that Wilbur is based off of and praising him.
Being able to recall exploding L'manberg with TNT.
There are also examples of Ghostbur acting off in Tommy's stream on March 14th:
Claimed to have spoken to Tommy a few days ago, despite them never talking to each other since Wilbur's first revival attempt.
Said he likes the rain despite not being able to be in contact with water. He later retracts this statement, stating, “Oh wait, I couldn't be in the rain,” as if he forgot about this.
Believes that Wilbur could be redeemed despite demonizing him multiple times in the past, even going as far as to say that his death is a happy memory. Initially, Ghostbur only wanted Wilbur back because “his job here is done” but still acknowledges that Wilbur is a bad person. This time, he believes that “a villain is a hero you haven't convinced yet.”
This dialogue sequence:
Ghostbur: I came back because I heard Tommy needed me.
Ranboo: Who told you that?
Ghostbur: ... You're acting very suspicious.
There's no way that Ghostbur and Wilbur are not connected with each other. They may be different people, but they sure as hell are connected, one way or another.
In this post, I explained that the reason why Ghostbur was acting strange is because of Wilbur influencing him from the afterlife. It's why he didn't have an aversion towards rain. It's why he claimed that he spoke to Tommy a few days ago (Wilbur spoke to Tommy in the afterlife a few days prior to Ghostbur's reappearance).
That was back then. Today, these behaviors are not as apparent as they were before, but they are still noticeable. If it was true that Wilbur was influencing Ghostbur from the afterlife back then, maybe today he still influenced Ghostbur, except it's not as strong. That, or Wilbur is more clever and attempts to not influence Ghostbur too much, otherwise the others would catch on to him.
