ill always be the first one to defend Y7′s english dub but nothing’s going to be funnier than someone providing a sample of english daigo and saying ‘this was a perfect choice’ and then immediately playing daigo’s original voice who sounds so much lighter and has a somewhat higher voice and spoke more hushed

#snap chats #no hate no shade to roger craig smith i love him but. im still not ever english daigo #like at first i thought it was just me being used to hearing japanese daigo but no i genuinely think it was just an awkward voice direction #i think its integral to daigo's character that he speaks softly- its sort of to highlight how he's a contrast to sohei #and again RCS is a talented voice actor i just dont think his voice type is suited the best for daigo #its easy to say english kiryu and majima dont sound right because their voices are so iconic #and again i love the english dub but daigo's voice has always seemed off to me #it's not even purely a Prefer The Japanese Dub situation #like i love the rest of the english voice cast i dont need to repeat myself on that i think we know #hell i even really like saejima and watase i think they were great- watase especially #still obsessed with omi bitches being mobsters #but yeah. hope RCS comes back for Y8 amirite fellas <3
