that’s me in the corner, that’s me in the spotlight buying knitting needles
#posting for the incredibly small niche of tumblr knitters from australasia#i’ve had a migraine for four days and the local craft store was out of 2mm 60cm fixed circular needles#i have had to adjust my beanie plans accordingly. we’re making do with 2mm 25cm needles#you may ask why i’m knitting a beanie on 2mm at all and the answer is that i like to suffer#(actually i just prefer the look of the smaller stitches with 4ply i think it looks really nice even if i screw up my tension)#but yeah. i got sick of trying to make magic loop work on my 2mm 120cm needles#i use knitpro symfonie because it’s ubiquitous and i think the 2mm needles really don’t like it#the plastic cables just aren’t that flexible especially when you work at the tension i do (i.e. way too tight)#the cables want to fold rather than bend and if you let them they’ll work harden and snap eventually#hence the hunt for shorter needles#anyway. back to being in pain and regretting my life choices 👍#knitblr#whispers from the mycelium
