#first dat of college starts tomorrow#kinda nervous but not really. im more nervous about my housing situation#right now I'm living in a thai massage parlor staff room.#only for this week of course#thanks to my mom knowing basically every thai person in ireland I've managed to get a 'temporary' place to stay#hopefully by next week I'll be staying at someone's apartment. hopefully. assuming things dont play out badly#like idk. maybe if the two of us didn't get along at all and he decides to kick me out or refuse to let me take the room#and i hope to god i have my own bedroom. i wouldn't wanna have to share a bedroom.#as for work. there are lots of shops in this town. so hopefully I'll get some part time work#but yeah i probably shouldn't live in the staff room of a massage parlor for the entirety of my first year of college.#assuming i dont drop out#like.. they have a bathroom and shower. they have a kettle so i can live with pot noodles or something lol#while as for bedding. i can choose the couch or the massage table. honestly the couch looks more comfortable#also I'm stealing wifi from a cafe close by. so the bare essentials are all here so if I'm homeless i suppose i can turn back here#the negatives of course is that. 1. the bathroom is open to the public until the place closes. some guy went in just now and#i could hear him talking on the phone and pissing. 2. i only have the keys to the staff room -#meaning i can't be out or leave past closing time. cus i can't open the front door. if I'm gonna be late I'd have to tell one of the ladies#to stay back late at work or something which is kinda not something I'd wanna do.#hmm. I'm nervous with how I'll get along with the guy I'm meant to room with next week. he seems alright over the phone#lol i also have to pretend my mom's friend is my aunt now. since that was the story she used to help get the room#'i have a nephew coming to town can he stay at your place' type of deal. also she tried to lower the rent price from 75 a week to 60.#he sounded unsure about lowering the price and agreed after a while but like. will he actually lower the price?#also gonna have to head back to my parents place to get my laptop and drawing tablet. turns out the laptop i sent to get fixed#arrived just after i left town.#anyway. a friend of mine mentioned how my current living situation is essentially the same as akira from persona 5#both live in a staff only room in a shop. shop run by a family friend. starting school in a new town. all i need to do now is-#actually work here lol. yeah. let's hope I'm not late tomorrow or anything#it'd be kinda bad of me to be late on the first day when i live 20 minutes away from the campus#delete later
