i’m back! concert prep/performing has completely taken me out - especially trying to keep up with dday content. i’m almost five weeks out on my injury though so i got my cast off yesterday and my new walking boot 👏🏼. it’s a spring showcase so we’re performing every friday and saturday night from april to the end of may. it’s a few Bach pieces, Mahler, Vivaldi (my favorite), and Tchaikovsky - so mostly classical. but our maestro lets the newest member and the newest first chair pick a piece each so we’re playing a metal song as well - it’s actually really fun - and my pick was the Forest Gump Suite because i love alan silvestri - my dream is to score film. i was terribly nervous for the first show but the other first chairs, includjng sax, he can stop saying i’m the humble one, were really helpful and i feel good about it now. i’m so excited to hear you are playing your violin again and interested to know what project you are working on! it’s not the only instrument i play but it is by far my favorite.

in other news, i read cyc and girl… i needed a cold shower. tantalizingly destructive is what i’m calling it for now because my only other thoughts are “i have no think”. glad to hear you also had some 3tan breakthroughs and wishing you good writing vibes going forward.

which mahler pieces are y’all playing? ofc vivaldi ughhh what a composer.. just the name itself is enough to describe his pieces.

SAX IS FIRST CHAIR TOO?? Damn. You’re both just cool like that, huh.. amazing. And yes! Playing it again has been fun and I really wanna shake the rust off lol. watching twoset has been a big influence on why I busted it out but the project is gonna be quite something, too.

oh my god ryen, its been what ? more than A YEAR that u wrote 3tan series ?? but the consistency of your writings just really really amazes me 😭😭🫶🏻🫶🏻 i hope u will always find joy in writing and interacting with us. like damn, im a die hard for 3tan but do take as much time as u want to write cz i am for sure, willing to wait 😭❤️❤️

Writing this series and interacting with y’all is my absolute fave?? It’s what gets me through the day sometimes ngl! Everyone here is wicked smart but also chaotic and I love it lol
