What aspect of Dabi/Touya or Tomura/ Tenko is your favorite? Also hi! I was hesitant to ask at first, but here I am! ∩｡• ᵕ •｡∩

hmm, that’s a really good question!!

in terms of actual character/characterization i love every bit of dabi. he’s so well written, developed, complex, and interesting. his motivations for his actions are easily understandable and sympathetic; it makes sense and we as the audience can see where he’s coming from, even if we don’t agree with him or his intensity. his whole story arc has been great, for the most part (tho we’ll see how it ends >.>). i just love everything about the way his character has been created and constructed, and i find such an immense amount of comfort in him, having been raised in such a toxic and abusive environment myself!

in terms of him as like, a significant other or a person, my favourite things about dabi are his will power, his stubbornness, and his tenacity!! he’s SO ambitious—once he sets his sights on something, absolutely nothing is going to get in his way or stop him from achieving that, and i really admire it (even tho in canon it’s used for evil purposes LMAO).

we’re skipping over characterization for tomura due to the recent manga events, but my favourite thing about him is his massive heart. he’s interesting, because he can be quite selfish, entitled, bratty, and childish—and yet, he is constantly thinking of the league, his league, his found family. they matter to him. he wants to make them happy, to help them feel vindicated and fulfilled. this is a quality that develops more as he matures and grows throughout the story, but it’s also a quality that has always been there, despite his less desirable traits.
