Thoughts on Mpreg?/ preg trans characters? An anon brought up o!foden the other day and I’m too obsessed w him and o! Erling preparing for motherhood. Like erling def wants kids but being pregnant would be too dysmorphic for him. Foden would be GLOWING

hmm…. ok so pregnancy scares me soooo badly it feels like a wildly traumatic experience if you’re not ready (i’m not) so i think that if i were to incorporate a pregnant omega into a fic id probably make it angsty blah blah like i don’t have to experience of wishing to be pregnant so idk if i would feel motivated to write that, there’s a lot to explore around pregnancy though like misogyny and anxiety and stuff that i find interesting but yeah i’m probably not gonna write pure pregnancy or kid fic anytime soon lmao… i’m fine w like talking about it though, erling not wanting to be pregnant but ppl all his life asking if he’s considered how playing sports will affect his ability to get pregnant and he’s like don’t know don’t care. but when he meets his nieces he’s like Oh❤️ so if kids end up in his life somehow that’s just fine he’s just not gonna be the one to carry them lol… and foden had his rly young so erling can just glide in as the step parent🤝 they’re perfect for each other

I really hope the next few episodes address the convo that Owen and TK had in 1x09, I feel like they may be alluding to that because Owen mentioned something in 2x02 about feeling guilt about ”forcing my son to follow in my footsteps” (like maybe be actually listening to the convo at the end of the firdt season??) and if TK is gonna become a paramedic and Ronen did say tbis next chapter in his life would affect this relationship with his Dad and the whole reason he became a firefighter was to have a dad. And with Gwens pregnancy that’s gotta bring up the past for all three of the Strands and 9/11 and the way TK was raised? Anyways I need TK to also have some healthy communication with his parents cause so far this season it has been a huge disappointment. Also I rly want them to address HOW TK got addicted to drugs like basically give me a TK Begins at this point lol.

yeah!! i mean, i’d rather a few other characters get begins episodes first but that doesn’t mean i wouldn’t eventually want a tk begins!! especially because there is so much story there that we’ve only gotten glimpses of. like you said though, i really hope we see a sort of tipping point where tk sits his parents down and talks to them. whether it’s finding out about the pregnancy or another scene like the “pep talk” that sets him off, i think it’d be a good moment to show tk’s growth and his ability to talk to his parents now, instead of letting them constantly make him feel like he’s in the middle. and like you said, we got hints of this tension in 1x09 and then especially with owen’s chat with hen in 2x03, he’s clearly aware of this guilt he feels over tk’s life choices. and laying all of those emotions out in a conversation would be an excellent scene for all the characters.

re: the paramedic tk theory, some other people have discussed it but it would be really interesting to see his dynamic shift with his dad if owen isn’t tk’s direct captain anymore. we might get to see tk kind of coming into his own if he gets even the tiniest bit of separation from owen, which might allow tk the confidence to actually talk to owen and gwyneth about what he’s been feeling!!
