I’ve been rereading some old chapters to try to form a solid idea what could’ve possibly happened to Masaki’s soul after she died, and while I still have many questions I have yet to answer, one thing I can already confirm from Ichigo’s fight with Grand Fisher is that:

Masaki’s soul was NOT eaten by Grand Fisher.

#ooc + tbd once i can elaborate further after gaining more insight #with pics maybe #but GF could create a bait in masaki's form because he dug into ichigo's memory #unlike what happened with kaien's soul that was devoured by metastacia and would later allow aaroniero to take his form #knowing GF's arrogance... i think if he actually ate her soul he would've flaunted it to ichigo during that fight #it would've shaken ichigo's resolve even further and given himself the upper hand but he didn't #but yea i still need to read what happened in his fight with isshin to see if anything else was mentioned #hmm...
