do you think there were any signs that this was Brody’s first show back? Idk how to describe it- but ya know what I mean? Idk I imagine it must feel so fresh for him and everyone having been off for an entire month

i totally get what you mean!! and i would definitely say there were signs!!

for starters, there weren't any signs in a bad way, it didn't seem like brody or any of the other actors were like nervous or anything!! they all actually seemed sooo energetic

i'd say that mostly, there was a lot of physical touch going on. i know that jason is always very touchy with whoever's playing pony, but i think it was taken up a notch what with this being brody's first show back! the entire scene on the bed before great expectations, jason was touching brody's hair and back nonstop. he was like playing with his hair, rubbing his back and shoulders, or like resting his hand on him the whole scene. and then after johnny dies he was basically laying down and just pulled brody down until he was laying on top of jason on the floor. it really seemed like he was taking any chance he could to be physical with brody, his hands never left him if they were in touching range, and it seemed like his affection was more amped than i usually see people describe it

also obviously brent couldn't make this obvious since darry's supposed to be frustrated and everything for most of the show, but you could almost just sense how excited he was to be with brody. whenever they were face to face, especially in ggah when he's holding the bat, there was just a look on brent's face and in his eyes, and the way he was carrying his body that made it seem like being with brody had put his energy through the roof!

as for brody himself, he had SO MUCH energy!! obviously this is my first show so i can't compare it to how he usually is, but he was reallly amped up in terms of his physicality and especially his vocals!! the break must have felt great for his voice, and he nailed every note! not to mention there were multiple times when he added in little runs here and there on certain lines, but i can only remember for sure that one was during far away from tulsa. it made it sound like he was having lots of fun being back! i will say that i'm pretty sure he messed up like one line when him and cherry talk before icttyal, he started talking about his parents death and then just kind of paused and picked up at a different part of the story so i think he almost missed a line and had to throw it in to a random place. but genuinely, that was the one mistake he made the entire show and it was barely noticeable!

overall brody was AMAZING and i think the break was really good for him, he seemed excited and energetic and ready to get back into it. definitely the biggest sign that it was his first show back was just how the other cast members interacted with him on stage, the energy was really up and they all just looked so excited to be there with him again!!

Their smile. Amazing teeth or really bright smile. Smile that just makes you unsure if you want to shelter them or give them a big kiss, literal angels when they smile.

Guilt. Libra Risings feel guilt like no others. Like idk how to explain this one but they don't really fele guilty?💀 Not in the way normal people do trust me. It's like they rationalize their guilt. Would not feel guilty for the small things that does not come back to them. Yeah they'll feel bad but thats abt it.

Secretly love toxic people. Oh wait, I already talked about this. But a reminder doesn't hurt anyone😌

PERFECTIONIST. THEIR WAY OR THE HIGH WAY THEY HAVE A ROUTINE TO WORK EFFICIENTLY TRUST ME ON THIS LIKE THEY KNOW WHAT WILL GET THEM FOCUS AND WHAT WILL DISTRACT THEM SKSKS

smarter than you think. a lot of time these people will dumb it down to let you breath but trust me. they knows. they saw what you did. just act oblivious bc they don't want it to come back to them.

@beccaland That’s an interesting question. I think so, in a way? Because I have a lot of followers (like, 1k+ going on 1100) and even if I post less or different content than I usually put on the blog, I’m not sure the activity will necessarily cease. For example, I answered 10 asks yesterday, even though I barely reblogged that many posts. If I add that up, it comes to at least an hour of my time being spent answering asks on Tumblr — and none of them were things that really interested me, either. I also think it wouldn’t be very encouraging to watch the number of followers go down, which will inevitably happen if I switch over the content; I’d much rather start at zero and work my way up again. I also wouldn’t want to completely erase everything off this blog, like my theme and icons page, because I spent a long time on them (even if I don’t really want to keep them anymore). It would be easier to just leave it as it is and start over, I think. Tbh I just want a nice, simple blog where I can reblog stuff about the Eighth Doctor and maybe Classic Who. And I don’t need or want a crazy amount of people following me and seeing every post, because that’s guaranteed to generate more activity than I can handle. So wooo, rant over (wow this got long!) I hope this makes sense!

You know me, I never turn down a chance to talk, so I'm going to talk about both!!

Calista first tho!

Basic Stats: Calista (she/her), late 20's, nickname: Cal (NEVER Cali, unless you want to get stabbed). Bisexual badass.

Appearance: Black, wears her hair in locs that are braided to between her shoulder blades, head shaved on the sides. Dark brown eyes. Several scars across her body. Most visible is the one on her brow near her eye.

She's a thief and a smuggler whose main port is the city where Ashlin works now. (Still unnamed.) She was the daughter of traveling merchants who were killed by highway robbers when she was 7. She spent a few years in an orphanage, but things sucked there and the adults didn't give a rat's ass about the kids, so she ran away when she was 9. She was always clever as hell, so she took to thievery and living on the streets as well as you can as a child. As she got older she collected a little "crew" of younger kids that she looked out for and taught how to survive. Ash was one of those kids. When she was 17 she joined a smuggling ring and left the port city. At the age of 20 or 21 she split with those smugglers and started her own smuggling operation. It worked very similarly, but with one major difference. She was willing to smuggle people. If your situation was bad (abusive family/partner, huge debts, need a fresh start, whatever), she will get you to A) another city (where you have friends or family, or just a fresh start), B) a port city to get passage eslewhere, or C) across the border to a neighboring kingdom be it east or south.

She's a huge flirt and will flirt with anyone as easy as breathing, but it never goes any farther than that. She's not looking for relationship of any kind, be it casual or not, and doesn't enjoy hookups just for the hell of it. She's very charismatic and outgoing and makes friends wherever she goes. But the second you disrespect her or her friends, you're dead to her. She holds grudges and never forgets.

Bonus: She's friends with Theo's mothers, and thinks of them (Theo) as a sibling or cousin.

Hermes under the cut!!

Full name: Hermes (that's it) Fake Name: Lord Hermes Andino, Baron of Oraine. Real Name: Timotheus Straut (but he doesn't know that.) Age: unknown to himself (~26)

Appearance: Messy dark hair that falls below his ears, monolided brown eyes that sparkle when he smiles, often wearing eyeshadow and/or nail polish. Loves things that shine (he would love rhinestones and glitter, lmao.) Character: Bi disaster. Mischief maker. Chaotic comedian. Makes friends easily, but keeps everyone at a distance. Pretends he doesn't need or want anyone special in his life, but really just wants to feel like he belongs. Easygoing, friendly to everyone, no matter who they are. Deflects discomfort with humor.

He has no real memories of anything before the age of about 7 or so, but every once in a while he gets "phantom memories", a little bit like deja vu, where he feels like a memory is just out of reach, like a word on the tip of your tongue.

He got the name Hermes because of quick fingers and gift for lucky escapes. (yeah, it doesn't make sense for him to be named after a Greek god, but idk, it fits. Don't come after me.)

Some of his earliest memories include hiding fresh loaves of bread under his shirt as he books it out of the market square, the bread so hot it almost burns him.

Visiting Anvia more or less on a lark, because he wanted to see the world beyond Villecourt and Oraine in general, and also to see if he could con a Queen. (He takes risks for the hell of it, to be honest.)

Once started flirting with a young man only to find out he was the son of someone Hermes had robbed the night before. That was awkward.

Was shocked to see that Fallon actually cares about her people and doesn't just let them rot. (unlike the Empress of Oraine....) It gave him some hope that not everything is doomed. (Note to self: Share that scene!!)

Likes to always be doing something with his hands. Be it rolling a coin over his knuckles, fiddling with the collar of his shirt (not used to fancy clothes) or picking at something in front of him (unravelling fabric, chipping paint, etc.), his hands are always moving.
