Vaguely inspired by Pride and Prejudice, I really want an New Mutants-based Regency AU where Magneto is a widower who not only constantly nags his rowdy wards to either marry well or take up a trade (he refuses to buy them commissions in the English military) so that they may live comfortably after the Xavier estate is entailed away, but ALSO to take frequent exercise, become learned in both the genteel and martial arts, attend every ball in the village to become appropriately socialized, and eat only healthful foods. No he will not listen if you point out that he drinks an absurd amount of wine, is very ill-socialized, and indeed spends all his time arguing with Miss Frost. Also “Pride and Prejudice but Mr. Bennet fakes his death” is extremely funny
