I want a RWBY Volume 9 AU where everything is the same except they have social media, and somehow still get scroll signals in the Ever After because of some arbitrary magic shenanigans. So everyone in Vacuo at least knows RWBY+JN are still alive, but have no idea what's going on with them, and they're too mentally caught up in the Ever After shenanigans (or in Ruby's case her depression arc) to think to give context for all the patently batshit stuff they're posting about.

#not a reblog #rwby #just picturing Nora and Ren in Vacuo relieved that Jaune's alright #but wondering why he's vagueposting about origami #neo spamming 'kys' at ruby until getting blocked #emerald reversing her friends list and blocklist #and cinder taking it as well as you'd expect #and of course ruby being all salty after the bees kiss and freaking everyone out #probably set her account to be viewed by friends only #just because she's not doing well #but it has the side benefit of like #not getting Milkshake Ducked to the general public #who just know her as the girl from the Amity broadcast
