i only watched a little bit of the good place so i dont really have context for the scene but the part where eleanor is like "that means i wasn't worth changing for" is sooooooooooooooo og!cale coded

imagine og!cale seeing cale interacting with deruth and how soft and affectionate deruth is towards cale and instead of just throwing money at him and cleaning up his messes he goes to battlefields for him and openly worries about his health

and og!cale just knowing that its because it's cale that that happened. that had og!cale tried to reach out it would've been business as usual.
