Imagine: Being Life long friends with Sam and meeting Bucky unexceptionally when your in the middle of a life crisis

Being Sam Wilson best friend, and his family and your being family friends made your life fun growing up. It was like having a brother- but a brother you could send away too his home when you wanted too be more “girly” and play with his sister Sarah. Growing up with Sam it was a adventure he always got you in trouble. But it made life Fun.

You were one of the billions of people who Blimped. However when you returned. You were stunned too learn your husband Not only remarried but was married too the opposite sex of what you are. And that was a Curve ball you weren’t expecting. You and his new Partner fought for a week over who was the home wrecker. He stated you were since you were whipped from existence, while you said He was. Since you married your dum dum of a husband first. In the end your husband said he wasn’t going back too you.

Honestly you were relieved- you were having issues before you disappeared and you simply said that you wanted your stuff and you would leave... that’s when he informed you that he sold your stuff within a Week of dissapearing and giving your Favorite panda bear teddy bear too the neighbor who had a girl who was now five years old. You were MORE upset about the Teddybear then the marriage, or your stuff being Gone. Mr. P (your trusted companion thru out your life) has been their for you Thur heartbreak, the ups and the down. And you ere heartbroken that he gave up hope so quickly. But Mr. P being gone was the last straw.

luckily the neighbor understood and felt pity that you returned too Nothing and your husband left you for a man. And that you didn’t have a Job anymore. And basically had the cloths on your back and the few pieces of shirts you took from your husband. So they gave you back Mr. P.. who was missing a eye now and smelt of someone else. It didn’t smell like you and it made your return home too your parents depressing.

Sam was gone, he was blimped. Your friend Sarah was left with two little kids as you helped out. But when you got the divorce papers seeing your no good of a husband was claiming abandonment and wanting everything. You snapped. And you went too Europe for the summer.

Traveling, the food, the culture. Yu were Never alone in bed. It was a well needed mental break, No responsibility, No husband, No drama, just a break from reality. Then you returned home too see Sam was back. Captain America was Gone, and your life came crashing back. Fun was over. Time too restart your entire life.. and try too move on with your life.

Sam returned home as you and him had a few beers after work. Talking about life, the Avengers, Europe. (Most stories were glazed over. Mainly because you didn’t want too talk about the string of lovers you left behind in Europe that wasn’t you. You weren’t the sort of person too kiss or tell. Plus Sam was struggling he wasn’t mentioning it out loud but the lost of Tony Stark, and Now Steve he’s close friend in Washington it took a toll on your friend.

Sneaking over too the Wilson family was a common thing, you always walk right in, and they do vise versa. Today you got in early with a box of donuts from your mom shop you got up at 4 am too bake them as you got inside exhusted from your short shift it was almost eight am. As you got in seeing the boys were playing with a Captain America shield you walked over seeing someone sleeping on the sofa. Stepping over looking at it, ‘Holly crap that looks so real.”

“it is! Uncle Sam brought it over.”

“Shut up!” The youngest handed it too you as you held it. It was lighter then you imagined as you three played with it until you heard a deep voice. “Hey”

The three of you turned seeing the man awake he had a smile on his face as he waved at the three of you as you gasped, “Scatter!” The boys bolted as you put the shield down as you spoke, “Sorry-..” putting the shield down you spoke up, “I’m Y/N... ugh... sorry i walked in on the boys playing with it and- i couldn’t help myself.” He chuckled weakly shifting up as he said No worry as Sam walked into the kitchen.

“Hey Y/N” he reached over kissing your cheek it was a common greeting you both had. Since you were seven. You smield saying hey as he spoke, “what’s going on here? Your face is all red?”

Laughing weakly you shook your head, “Nothing! Nothing hey where is Sarah?”

“Not here- she went too the boat i think.”

You groaned hearing that. You were just at the docks at her boat looking for her- she wasn’t there. “No i was just there-“

“Sorry- oh so you meet?”

Shaking your head, “no- i mean i gave my name. He didn’t give his.”

Sam spoke, “good lets keep it that way.” You rolled your eyes, ‘your a prue gent Sam.” He rolled his eyes as the man chuckled as he spoke ‘I’m Bucky.”

Smiling at him Sam spoke, ‘hey- so.. Don’t mention the shield okay.”

he nudged his head at the shield that was leaning against the wall as you shook your head, “didn’t see a thing.. it’s not the real one is it?”

“yea- long story.”

you gasped gripping his arm, “Will I meet one of the Avengers? If I the Avengers are involved I’m going home too change out of my floured covered shirt.”

“No- No this is just Steve stuff.”

you meet Steve and even commented too Sam (when Steve went home) that if you weren’t married you would drool over Steve But at last.. you were married and couldn’t. But he was Fun too look at.

You nodded your head, “okay. Just- dont break it! With playing with it.”

Bucky grinned hearing that, you soon left as Bucky spoke, “So who’s that?”

“Family friend, she’s the kids godmother. And she’s like a sister so No flirting with her!’

“she’s not your special friend?” Bucky grinned seeing how he kissed her when he arrived as Sam spoke “gross No1 she’s like a sister she’s my best friend growing up she’s sensitive leave her alone.”

Later that day you arrived too Sarah’s Boat seeing Sam and Bucky were fixing it up for Her. As you walked over too the boat staying on the docks. Staring up at the two. they were having a drink as Bucky noticed you instantly wearing a plaid oversized shirt, some jean shorts that were covered in flour a grey -T shirt under the open plaid shirt and a grey hat. You wore sneaks as he smiled brightly, “hey Y/N.”

Smiling up at him saying Hey as Sam turned seeing you, “Yo Y/N what’s up?”

“where is your sister?! I haven’t seen her all day! It’s a small town!”

Sam rolled his eyes, “if you just carried a Phone you could joint the 21st century and Text her.”

Rolling your eyes at that. You stopped carrying your phone once you return from Europe mainly because you were getting Way too many text’s from the one night stands and everyone you wanted too talk too- you saw all day. You knew you should carry it for security and safety reasons. Plus playing music while you are alone in the morning working at the bakery would be nice. But you just keep forgetting. “I shouldn’t have too! She’s always other three places!”

Sam didn’t have the energy too fight but Bucky asked why you needed her so badly. As you spoke, “oh- Me and Sarah had planned something for tonight and I needed help with something nothing major I’ll keep looking for her-“

“Y/N!”

you all turned seeing Strewart dash over too you saying he had the fireworks . Which made you smile brightly, “seriously? “

“why you need fireworks?” Sam called out as you waved him off saying he would see later. You and Strew dashed off. Bucky couldn’t help but grin seeing you so gleeful.

“Hey- Stop looking at her-‘ Sam spat as Bucky chuckled softly saying okay.

It took you all day too find Sarah and too Get the “ritual” all set in motion. The Only thing your no good for husband had was your wedding dress. Mainly keep it because it was so exprience and he let he’s new Love wear it for a drag show. (The top was stained with makeup and it was in desperate need of some TLC ) but you got it.

Sarah suggested you just get ride of it. Which was such a marauded response. Get Ride of it? You couldn’t bar the thought of it being worn by anyone else. And the fact your husbands lover wore it. And ruined it. Made you decided too burn it. Too fully start anew.

your mom wasn’t thrilled with that idea. But Sarah was soon convinced espically seeing that the ball gown dress took majority of your closest.

it was her sons idea too attach it too a firecracker and fling it up into the air. And set it off. Which was a perfect idea.. which wasn’t very realistic So instead you figured. Fireworks by the water, and a huge Fire on the beach burning your dress and burning everything you had left of your former life.

Sam didn’t care one way or another that you did all this. He never personally liked your husband. By the time the fireworks were done, the parents went home and Sara’s kids went home which meant she went home. So Sam, Bucky and yu were sitting around the fire having drinks as you watched your dress burn.

“Y/N?” Bucky asked as you looked up too see him As he’s eyes brow frowned looking a t you, “you alright?”

nodding your head weakly you took a big gulp of beer as Sam spoke, “Hey maybe you should slow down.”

Shaking your head as you spoke, “I’m being reborn. Tonight Sammy.. No more stupid husband. i am officially Miss Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N again! I dont feel guilty anymore.”

“what you have too feel guilty for?” Sam said as you shook your head, “it wasn’t working before i dissapeared. Honestly we fought all the time. He was so controlling and demanding. LIke remember when i said that Winter soilder dude was incredibly Hot?” Sam chuckled as Bucky was stunned as he spoke “yea i remember you mentioning it.”

“that Jack ass- got so jealous. And of Steve! He kicked me out one night just because I had lunch with him and you.- that guy was a jackass and who gives up on their love after a week?” taking another drink you looke d at Bucky you were Far passed just a little tipsy. You didn’t care how drunk you got. Sam was here. And you were safe. “Would you give up on me. If we were in love? After a week?”

Bucky took a drink of his beer debuting on his answer mainly because he was worried he was overstepping on something between you and Sam. “No” he finally said as he spoke, “No i wouldn’t..” you nodded your head as you reached over patting his shoulder, “that’s because your a true gentleman!” He chuckled as Sam spoke, “okay.. your clearly drunk if your calling him a gentlemen.”

you laughed as you spoke, “i may be drunk Sir! But i can tell a gentlemen when i see one-“ you got up as you stumbled as Bucky swooped up fast catching you as you grabbed his arms. Feeling the hard metal arm as you chuckled weakly. “Hey you got a metal arm like that incredibly hot guy.” He chuckled as he went too talk but you patted his face, “you know- I told Sam the guy probably didn’t have enough hugs growing up.. you know your suppose too get ten hugs a day? Doctors prove it helps-“ you stumbled again as Bucky spoke, ‘I’m sure that’s it.” You chuckled as Sam got up, “Okay Y/N time too go home.”

“okay.... hey your getting blurry-“ and with that you passed out. Bucky grabbed you before you fell down as Sam sighed, “she’s having a hard time adjusting— I’ll carry her-“

“I got her.. lead the way.”

Sam didn’t argue he iddn’t really want too carry you all the way home.he could do it. But Bucky wouldn’t stugggle as much. Plus he was slightly tipsy and wasn’t sure he could carry you- without dropping you.

Sam let you all into your house. As Bucky carried you too your room. As Sam followed seeing how Odd how careful Bucky was with you. When you settled into your bed you mumbled something as Bucky covered you up As he smiled too himself before turning and leaving with Sam.

Sam watched as they left.

“So she doesn’t knwo about me huh?”

“No- thought i can’t wait too tell her tomorrow” Sam stated as Bucky grinned weakly. He couldn’t wait too see you tomorrow

Arthur wants to help her and offers her that she can live with him. They've not dated for long but it's serious and the're much in love. She wants to move in with him, but she's afraid it wouldn not work out for many reasons, but eventually she agrees and Arthur is immensely happy. ^^

// A/N: This originally was going to be a longer fic, but I’ve been struggling with writing yet again, so I figured breaking it down into headcanons was easier than taking eons longer to write something more detailed.

It had been nearly three weeks since you were given the news, the words barely making their way over the fuzzy phone lines, voice as uncaring as ever.

Due to a better suited tenant making an offer, your lease was not going to be renewed, and you needed to be out by the end of the month - no if, ands, or buts about it.

Your lifestyle was a hand to mouth one; paycheck to paycheck, your weekly earnings were just enough to cover rent and basic necessities with little left over to save, splurges on luxuries being an occasional, very rare treat.

With your rainy day savings, your actual savings, and the total accumulation of the profit you made from selling various items that you could, you barely had enough to cover even a deposit on any of the nearby apartments - let alone deposit, and the first month’s rent. 

In short, you were screwed.

You were screwed, and it was eating at you. Day and night, the thought loomed over you like the piles of trash that littered the city, threatening to topple over on passersby at any moment. 

Had you been given a much more reasonably timed heads up, it wouldn’t have been even half an issue, yet you were left to do nothing but lay in bed, eyes burning as you stared at the television, seeing but not really watching the program on it. You’d been pulled from your restless sleep by the sound of a glass bottle dropping and shattering somewhere outside, and given that it was nearly four in the morning, you were about to give up on sleep. 

Even in your sleepy haze, did the weight of the situation hit you like a truck, your stomach tightening with anxiety, the churning twist of panic, worry, and hopelessness making your eyes blur with tears as you shifted your gaze to the ceiling.

You couldn’t help but almost pitifully chuckle at that - soon, there wouldn’t even be a ceiling for you to cry over.

December was nearly on its last legs with Christmas just around the corner; the days of autumn bleeding into those of winter as you found yourself growing more and more grateful each day that your boyfriend’s apartment was one of the few that had a functioning heating system. Temperatures dipped below freezing more often than not, and you often had to take a moment to brace yourself before you stepped outside as the air’s freeze physically hurt sometimes - your eyes, nose, and fingers on the days you forgot your gloves stinging from the wind, while any exposed skin reddened from the nip of the wind. 

It was thoughts of days like those that made you brief a sigh of relief and sink back into the couch of Arthur’s living room, one of his softest blankets fluffed and draped around your body as you curled your legs under yourself, warm and safe from the harsh weather outside, and the even harsher population of the city.

It was also thoughts of days like those that reminded you that this wasn’t going to last. 

“Love, what’s on your mind?”

As in tune with your emotions as ever, Arthur noticed that you were particularly quiet that evening, lost in your thoughts as you didn’t even pay any mind to the television - set to the weekly airing of The Murray Franklin Show.

You hadn’t even told Arthur what was going on, the fear of stressing your already overworked boyfriend out keeping you from opening your mouth. 

“Huh? Oh - nothing,” You blinked, turning your attention from the carpet to the television. “I’m just tired.” You spoke, fingertips picking at the frayed hem of the blanket currently wrapped around your body.

Another hint for Arthur: no Art, no Artie tacked on the end to your reply. From the corner of your eye could you see him through the passthrough, eyeing you from his spot at the kitchen counter where he was taking the utmost care to not spill the mug of hot chocolate he was making you as he stirred it.

Even though your relationship was hardly out of its infancy, you both knew each other well enough to tell when something was wrong. Arthur was already so very in tune with your emotions, so you knew he wasn’t just going to let your morose mood go without a question or two, and you knew yourself enough to know that something about Arthur’s concern hit a soft spot in your heart, rendering you unable to keep much from him once he managed to get into your head. 

He seemed almost sad as he now stood in the entrance to the living room, his lips settled into a thin line as he kept his eyes trained on you. You felt yourself shrink under his gaze, the guilt from keeping something so major from him eating at you, but the uncertainty and apprehension of not only how you’d bring it up with Arthur, but how he’d react.

One of your worst fears was Arthur jumping on the opportunity to have you live with him. Not because you didn’t want to, not because you didn’t trust him or anything of the sort - but Arthur had a habit of putting the needs of others, especially your own, miles above his own. Money was much tighter for him than it was for you, and hell you had no idea if even combining incomes would be much help. No doubt that it would be some, but whether it would be enough, especially given the uncertain job climate of Gotham, left you scratching your head. 

Arthur took a seat next to you, the drink he brought you placed on the coffee table, and with a deep breath, you let it spill out faster than you really meant for it to.

Your lease was ending in just over a week. Your landlord had no intent of renewing it because someone else was moving in, and you had no money to move elsewhere yet, even after your best efforts at earning enough. You had no where to go, nothing to do, no way to remedy the situation - and time was running out.

Hell, you had no idea if at this point you even could do anything beyond accepting the inevitable.

“Why... don’t you stay here?” 

Arthur’s meek, yet hopeful voice raising such a suggestion made your ears perk up. You hadn’t even thought about that - but immediately did you know that it wouldn’t work. At least not yet.

“Art - I can’t do that, you know I can’t.” You couldn’t look at him as you spoke, the thought of being able to live in with him making your heart skip a beat, but the knowledge that it almost most definitely was not realistic at the moment making it hard to swallow.

“Why can’t you?”

“It won’t work - it’s not going to work.”

Though instantly you regret speaking those words, wincing once you realized what they implied. You knew Arthur and his anxieties well enough to know that it wasn’t improbable that he took “it won’t work” as meaning, you didn’t have enough faith in your relationship for it to work.

“ - Not like that,” You were quick to correct yourself, hoping to save the situation before it became more angst ridden. “I mean, living together. At least right now. Money is already tight for you, isn’t it? And I mean, it’s not like my own job is the most stable right now.”

“Y/N, do you really think that matters?” Arthur looked almost angry as he spoke, as if the fact that you were concerned about finances was ridiculous in such a situation. You knew Arthur enough to know he wasn’t actually mad, at least not at you, but still on edge at the threat of your loss of shelter. “You’ll be homeless, and - and who knows what could happen to you out there -” The hitch in Arthur’s breath as he spoke, coupled with the way his left hand gripped at the fabric of his trousers clued you in that this was something extremely distressing for him. 

You could feel tears welling up in your eyes, yet you refused to let them fall as you blinked them away. “Arthur -”

“Please,” Arthur’s hand shot out for your own, his warm from holding the hot drink previously as he held your hand tight in his own. “Y/N, please.. Don’t worry about money, we’ll figure it out - but it’s dangerous, it’s awful out there and I don’t know what I’d do if something happened to you -” 

Had you not stopped him midsentence with a gentle “Hey -”, you’d no doubt Arthur would’ve either succumbed to a fit of laughter, tears, or both.

“ - Arthur, hey,” Your free hand that wasn’t kept in his own reached for his shoulder, tugging gently on the fabric of that brown cardigan you so loved, pulling him closer to you. His forehead came to rest on your shoulder, his breath just barely noticeable against the fabric of your chest. “I dont... I don’t know what I’d do, either - Arthur I just don’t want to add more to your plate, you’re already so overworked, I shouldn’t have even mentioned it.”

You could feel Arthur shake his head at your words, but he didn’t speak - not that you blamed him.

With your lips now pressed to the top of his head, you took a deep breath, breathing in his scent. That comforting scent you’ve come to love and seek out within the few months you’ve been with him - the scent you, really, wouldn’t mind being surrounded by all of the time. 

“We’ll try,” You said finally, not missing how Arthur seemed to tense up at your words. “Arthur I... would love to stay here - I would, love to live with you. It’s going to take some time to adjust - never mind actually making the move - but... I don’t know what I’d do without you.” 

You could’ve laughed at how Arthur shot up at this, his eyes wide as he seemed full of disbelief for a moment before your own reassuring smile sparked a growing grin on his face. “Do you really mean it, Y/N?”

“Waking up with, going to bed next to, coming home to you doesn’t sound all too bad, the more I think about it,” You whispered, your body finding its way to Arthur’s as his arms pulled you close. 

Maybe this home wouldn’t be so bad.

‘In Time’ pt. 4 (Hwiyoung x Reader)

I’m back with hopeful the last part to this lol. I really enjoyed working on this and I hope you guys enjoyed it too.  

‘In Time’ Pt. 1, 2, 3 

Synopsis: There was always something going on between you and Kim Youngkyun. Whether he was your sworn enemy, your best friend, or your lover. ‘In Time’ tells the story of how the two of you faced different stages of your lives together and how the two of you ultimately get to be that special person for each other.

You tried to go on and put on the impression that you were okay. You’d visit friends and families and whenever they'd ask you about Youngkyun, you would try not to reveal anything to them. You'd just state that the two of you had been busy with school and nothing more. You’re first semester was coming to an end and studying alone was something that you thought you had gotten used to. You would often sit in you and Kyun’s favourite spot at the library and imagine him eating all the snacks you brought with you. You’d fight about snacks and becoming super self-conscious of yourselves when you felt the heat of stares pointed towards the two of you. Unlike how you acted, you really missed him, more than you thought you would. 

You started to feel regretful for being immature and not just telling him about your feelings, about everything. You wanted to say how you hated that Sunny chick for no other reason than the fact that he viewed her romantically and not you. How you’d known him for so long and thought that she wasn't worthy of his time. You also wanted to tell him that it wasn't that you hated him, but that it was quite the opposite, you think you were in love with him.

Finals went well and Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years flew by with a blur. You heard nothing from him. You noticed that he never blocked you on social media and that when you post he still watched and liked your content. He would even comment on certain things, but seeing him comment and not reply to you might’ve stung you more than him not reaching out to talk to you. 

Soon the Spring semester was underway and you’re birthday was approaching in February. You moved your things back to the dorm and settled yourself in. wanting to do nothing but settle into the warmth of your room away from the winter cold outside. 

When you approached your door you heard your roommate talking to someone but couldn't tell who the other person was until you opened the door. Mid-greeting with your roommate you stop in the doorframe shocked at the sight of Youngkyun sitting at your desk. He turned from your roommate to you and smiled that gummy smile of his. “Hey.” 

Seeing him made you tear up and at the sound his voice you dropped your things and hugged him before he could fully lift from his chair. 

Due to his shock he didn't wrap his around you right away but when he did he hugged you so tight, with his muscular arms lifting you off the ground. 

“Wow. Did you guys get together over the break or something.” 

At you’re roommates comment the two of you become hyper aware of your hug and how your bodies are pressed together. Youngkyun gently yet quickly puts you down and the two of you blush and giggle. “Let me help you unpack,” he moves to your bags and starts to put things away like how they were before the winter break. 

Soon after the two of you go to eat at your shared favorite cafe not far from campus. You didn’t expect the two of you to make up anytime soon, especially not like this. You were expecting to have been made to wait months until he wanted to speak with you. ‘Kyun never failed to surprise you.  

He talked to you as if nothing had happened, as if the two of you didn’t just have a falling out. Unless you just simply thought you did. All this time you assumed that ‘Kyun was so upset that he didnt want to talk to you. But if so, he wouldn't have done this. But he also didnt try to text or call you either. 

“So how were the holidays?” He moves his head towards you, both shoulders on the table smiling at you. You looked at how his black sweatshirt fit him, it tighter than you remember his clothes being. His clothes had always seemed to be a little baggy for him. 

“Honestly it was a blur. They had gone as quick as they came. You?” 

“Well you know the usual. Mom acting overly zealous about the holidays and getting upset with anyone who didnt feel the same. She kept saying talking how I was “ruining the mood” whenever we did things. She thought maybe it was because we didnt see each other.” 

His smile had gently faded a bit, you saw how he tried to force the smile again. It dawned on you then, that he was faking being fine. 

You’re hands started to feel shaky so you start to fidget, your finger lining the rim of your mug of coffee. 

“I uh...” 

“A part of me was really upset y/n. But...I realised that I had a lot of my own feelings to sort out. That would be hypercritical of me to resent you while you sorted yours out.” 

Resent. Did he resent you now? 

“And even if I really wanted to resent you, I couldn't. Over the last few months a tried it didn’t work.” 

“Just know that it wasn't anything you did ‘Kyun, it was me. I...,” he looked up at you expectedly. “I...was jealous. It was immature of me to push you away like I did. But I couldn't bear being you with someone else like that.” 

You saw a smile light up his face, but then was gone as he tried to not show his joy. 

“I...I wanted to be where Sunny is.” 

“Well...was. Where she was. We’re not together anymore.” 

“Why? What happened?” 

“If you’re thinking it was because if you it wasn't. You’re not that special.” 

Worry fades from your face to annoyance and you smack his arms drawing a laugh from him. Hitting him his ams felt harder than they normally had.

“Bro did you get ripped while we weren't talking? I knew something was different. You’re sweatshirts never fit you that well.” 

He furrows his brows at you and smirks, “Fits me well?” 

“No, just, sh-shut up. What happened with you two then?” 

“I don't know I guess I just felt like as some point, I lost the excitement. Like being with her just seemed like I was forcing myself to do something. Which led to us getting into this huge argument and her breaking up with me. Well three weeks after I tried ending it, she just wanted to end it.” 

“Huh,” is all you say and he shrugs. 

The two of you sit in silence for a little bit watching passerby come in and out of the cafe. You thought about all the times you sat at that very same spot, looking at tree in front of the tree. How it exudes didn’t types of beauty all year round, even when completely bare.

You look away from the tree and at Youngkyun. You hadn't noticed, but as you admired the beauty of the tree, he was admiring you. 

“What?” 

“Ever since we were younger, I was jealous of anyone who wanted to be with you. Be it a friend, a boyfriend, I wanted you all to myself. But then, I realized how stupid that was. I couldn't force you to be with me or have control over who  you wanted to be with.” 

“’Kyun what are you-” 

“I don’t think I noticed how special you were to me until freshman year when I wanted us to be friends. And when we stopped talking, thats when I realized, I wished I had been the one you dated. It just took me longer to figure out.” 

You looked at him confused. You knew what we was trying to say but, you still weren't sure. 

“’Kyun what are you trying to say? Look I like you a lot. Longer than I realized. But if you dont get that or like that its fine.” 

He shook his head in defeat. 

“What?”

“Y/n. I’m already having trouble telling you. Now you’re just making this harder for me.” 

“Hard for you? I just basically confessed to you, what trouble are you having?” 

“I’m saying I'm trying to confess to you but you not understanding me is making it harder.” 

What? 

“C-confess?” 

“Yes y/n. Yes,” he would've started yelling at you by now but he was so distressed and defeated he couldn't talk any other way but calm. 

“Wow y/n. You didn’t have to make Youngkyun struggle like that,” you’re mom shakes her head. 

“Mom what was I supposed to think? He was taking forever to confess!”

“So you've never been nervous before?” Youngkyun asks as he looks at you. You remove his arm that’s slung over your shoulder and roll your eyes. “Okay I get it you were nervous.” 

“Thank you. She finally understands.” 

He grabs your waist and brings you back next to him on your living room couch. This results in him touching your weak spot and it turns into a rambunctious tickle fight. 

You’re mom just smiles and shakes her head at the two of you. As she walks into the kitchen she yells back, “I did always wonder when the two of you would get together.” 

When she doesn't hear a response but giggles and screams instead she smiles to herself and proceeds to make dinner and let the two of you enjoy yourselves.

UPDATE/RANT

This will be long, so be prepared. I hopefully tagged everything correctly. Feel free to let me know if I missed anything. This will mostly be babbling, so it will jump around a lot.

I met my love in December of 2018. My best friend (I will continue calling them that until the end of this post. It makes it more clear who I am speaking about) introduced us. Me and my love became an item in late May of 2019.

I met my best friend in October of 2018, but didn't really bond until November/December of 2018. We decided to room together (with a different friend) for the 2019/2020 school year.

We had another friend who in late October of 2019 went haywire and we ended up having to cut ties for all of our mental health. It wasn't pretty.

In September (ish.) Me, my love, and a few other friends were pushing for my best friend and an alter to become an item (in theory, they were good for each other). I thought I would be fine with it, because I had had a semi-serious conversation about dating someone outside the system a few months prior. HOWEVER. I WAS SO SO WRONG.

My best friend dating that alter was really difficult on me (to the point where I am not sure if I would be able to handle trying that again with a different person). I had massive breakdowns because I was trying to be supportive and not let on how much it really really bugged me. Plus my best friend was constantly whining about not being able go are their S.O. as much as they needed/wanted, it was all too much. I couldn't be in the same room if they were spending time together. But I didn't want to break them up. So I resolved to eventually getting into counseling to deal with that (plus my BPD was getting in the way, my mind was and still is chaos).

Time went on. Me and my best friend got into a fight (in about december of 2019) because I finally had enough of their comment and belittling and all of that jazz. I stood up for myself (not in the best way, I realize that) by attacking back. It was never really talked about or dealt with. We just sort of, moved on as if it never happened.

The start of the next semester after winter break was not good. My best friend had turned off all of their emotions and was becoming impossible to deal with. The friend we had been rooming with left within a few weeks of the first semester due to personal problems, and was returning for the spring of 2020 semester. While I got the most of all of the bitterness and hatred and seething and all of the nasty stuff, it wasn't going unnoticed by the system (who was also getting their share of the rancid behavior) and also the friend who moved back in.

Time goes by and it gets bad. So bad that my best friends S.O. (who is a protector of sorts) could not handle the damage my best friend was causing to everyone around them. So the S.O. broke up with my best friend.

And it got worse from there.

My best friend because even more unstable and down right vicious. Refused to accept any sort of help or comfort or support from me or most of the system.

So eventually my love and I put our feet down. We sat down my best friend and said basically "we understand you are hurting. But this has been going on for months, you are hurting everyone around you. You need to get help." And to say that was not received well is an understatement. We had a circular conversation for over two hours (we started the talk at almost midnight on a night where me and my love had 8am classes). My best friend refused to fix themself and got even worse. To the point of leaving campus to get intoxicated (they are legal). And me and my other roommate decided to talk to the school staff about the incident. (This was about mid to late February of 2020). Me and my roommate moved out of the room we were sharing with my best friend because we feared for not only our mental health, but our own physical safety.

This stayed mostly calm for a couple of weeks. Then out of the blue my best friend emails (not text or discord or anything. Actual email. To my school account). About getting something back of hers that I sti had with me. I made a deal to give it back when I got my things. Thought that was that.

My best friend sent an email to my love the same night, asking if my love could meet them that night. They wanted to talk or something. My love did not want to go into a room alone with my best friend, so I went along. My best friend was less than pleased that I came along, and was very rude. Then immediately started apologizing (not sincerely.) That went on for about 45 mins with my love being kind. When me and my love were walking back, we were talking, and they still didn't want to have contact with my best friend besides things they had to be in contact for due to school.

So I decided to send an email.

Oh boy.

So, I send an email basically saying "hey. My love and my roommate (and another friend who did not want to be involved at all) don't want you to contact them unless it is strictly for school-business. Also, your behavior tonight was not cool and you need to get actual help." So. I have my love and the main protector (and probably a few others) look over the email to make sure it was okay. They agreed it was, so I sent it.

Not even five minutes after I sent it, my best friend came up to me (I was in a cafe in the dorms, not somewhere I normally am) and yelled at me, while physically attacking me.

After a good 45 ish seconds, some third party pulled me off of my best friend (the third party didn't know what was going on, I dont blame them) and my best friend sauntered off. I had my love call our campus security who then called the police.

Everyone was kind to me, got all of the information and everything.

I decided I wanted to press charges.

Because of that, my best friend was arrested the next day and held in jail over night.

I decided to file for a restraining order, because my best friend sent an 8 minute long voice memo to my love blaming me for everything going wrong in my best friend's life, and that they believed they were perfectly right to have attacked me.

As of right now, I have two court dates. One to see if I will get the restraining order. And the other for my best friend's charges.

It is an extremely stressful time on me and the system and my roommate. I am failing all three of my classes as of right now, I have no money in the bank because I wasn't able to work for a couple weeks due to stress over this situation, and trying to deal with all of these legal issues.

I have been meaning to, and I will soon, update my description on here to erase my best friend from the description, and try to clear up what this blog is really all about.

I will keep posting mainly DID things, for obvious reasons, but I felt the need to get this off my chest because everyone in my life is completely overwhelmed too.

Do you use public transport regularly? I would if it were safer, more efficient, and less crowded. But it’s none of these things, so I resort to driving my own car. Who do you usually say hello or good morning first? My girlfriend. Do you usually have time for breakfast in the morning? What do you have? Not this sem, because my classes start at 8:30/9 so I usually go straight to the bathroom for a quick shower and off to the car. I never have time to pick up breakfast, unless my dad is home and packs me food. He usually makes me eggs and hotdogs. Have you ever had to work while there was a film crew at your work place? I’ve never had a job but yeah, they recently shot a movie in my school. Dom loved the holiday season a lot. Ever since he was a kid his family decorated a bunch for Christmas and as he got older and got his own place he continued that tradition. Parker already knew this of course. They decorated their apartment together every year. Dom had been spending a lot of time at Parkers house, not only just to see Avery of course but he really wanted to spend more time with Parker and since they were trying to work things out, he wanted to make everything special. He arrived at Parker's place and knocked on the door, waiting for her to answer. He brought some presents of course for the two of them. Early Christmas presents you could say.

Parker gotten everything ready for them to decorate her place. She knew that Jay was saying was the truth, something she didn't want to hear but she wanted the chance to take things slow with Dom and give him a second chance. "Dada!" Avery screamed as she ran towards the door and Parker chased after the two year old. "Avery Tessa Jones, slow down." She said through her laughter and opened up the door to see Dom standing there. "Hey you, come on in."

Dom smiled as he opened the door and he was greeted by small arms wrapped around his leg. He laughed and bent down to pick her up. "Hey sweetie" he said as he put her on his hip. "Hey Parks" he smiled at her. "So daddy might have brought presents!" he said. Avery gasped and clapped in excitement. "Early christmas presents...for both of you" he said looking over at Parker. He sat Avery down on the couch next to him and pulled out a doll for her from the bag he was holding. She seemed very excited about it. "And for you" he said standing up and handing her a small box. Inside were these gorgeous diamond earrings.

Parker smiled as she watched Dom and Avery interact, bowed her head a bit as she smiled. "You know you didnt have to do that." Parker replied as she shut the door behind him as they headed into the living room. She sat on the floor, put her hair up in a messy bun and raised an eyebrow as she glanced at the box. She told him thank you, grabbed the box and opened it up to see the earrings. "Oh my...Dom."

Dom "I wanted to" he said softly. Dom smiled when he saw her reaction to the earrings. "Do you like them?" he asked. "I thought they would look really beautiful on you and I saw them and couldn't resist." he smiled. "I actually thought maybe you could wear them in the future. Like on a date or something. With me." he said still starring at her. Avery was making her doll hop on Dom's arm and up to his shoulder as she jumped up and down on the couch next to him. He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close so she wouldnt fall.

Parker kept looking at the earrings and glanced up at him as she stood up. "I, love them but Dom." She kinda laughed as she stood in front of him and held the box in her hand. "These probably cost a fortune and I don't know what to say or if I can accept these." She bit down on her bottom lip as she looked at him and slowly nodded. She glanced over at Avery then back to Dom. "Maybe, yeah." She closed the box and placed them on one of the end tables. She turned back towards him. "I didn't get you anything, yet. Except a container of cookies but that's about it."

Dom frowned. "What? No please take them." he said. "it was no trouble really, I want you to have them." He looked at her and smiled then looked at Avery. "She said maybe. which obviously means yes, huh?" He laughed and kissed her cheek, tickling her sides. "yes yes yes!" avery laughed, even thought she had no idea what her daddy was talking about. He looked back at Parker and smiled. "I love your baking. And you don't have to get me anything. You already did this year" He said looking at Avery, his sweet daughter.

Parker frowned when he did and glanced down at the box that was on the table "They are pretty, actually and you sure?" She looked back up at him and couldn't but help smile when Avery laughed. She nodded as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "It helps that your mother helped me became the baker that I am today. I know, but still." She glanced at their daughter then back to him. "So, um. Where should we start?"

Dom clapped his hands and stood up. "Well, what all do you have? We can do the tree last maybe? Order some food and decorate the tree?" He smiled at her. "And we have to put of stockings and the manger, do you still have those really cool nutcracker sets?" he asked. Dom was getting into the Christmas mode for sure. He was like this every year. "Oh dang it...I should have brought some eggnog!" he sighed. "We always have eggnog when we decorate." He looked at Avery and then at Parker. "I guess...we will have to start some new traditions that aren't spiked eggnog huh?" he laughed a little.

Parker glanced around as she ran a hand through her hair. "Basically almost everything from our apartment." She said as she looked at him and nodded. "That sounds good to me." She walked towards where the nutcrackers were at and pulled them out. "I still do, wont have any other Nutcracker sets out. I thought you have the manger? So I started putting up a scene." She placed them onto a chair and placed her hands on his shoulders. "I have regular eggnog & spiked eggnog once the little one is in bed if you want. Now, take a deep breath and I'll put on the music before we start decorating."

Dom thought about it for a second. "Shoot...I forgot I had the manger. I will have to bring it over another time" he shrugged. He smiled and reached for a nutcracker. "i love these" he smiled. Dom looked over at Parker and he nodded. "Sounds fun" he nodded commenting about the eggnog. "Jingle bell jingle bell!" Avery exclaimed as she jumped off the couch and danced around with her doll.

Parker shook her head as she waved it off. "Don't worry about it, I have a Precious Moments one that I have since she was born." She commented. She nodded when she heard him, glanced over at him. "You can take one home with you, that way it's something familiar." She shrugged and looked at Avery. "Be careful honey."

Dom nodded "Okay" He scooped Avery up in her arms. "You wanna help me put up the stockings? and you can play with dolly later?" he asked her. Avery nodded. "Okay good girl." He looked at the stockings laying out on the couch. "Do you want these on the fireplace?" He asked.

Parker glanced over at him and nodded. "Yes, please and I have some stocking holders in the green bin. Also, I grabbed your stocking. So if you want, you can keep it here for Santa and come over to open presents with us?" She offered as she looked at him. "If, you're not heading back to Ohio for Christmas, that is."

Dom shook his head. "No I wanna be here with you guys" he nodded. "I would love that" he took out the holders and he handed one to Avery to hold who was still in his arms. "You know ma wants to meet Avery soon." he said casually. "Maybe one day we could make a trip out there. I mean I have a pretty long winter break before spring semester starts again." He shrugged. "Just a thought you know."

Parker "Okay." Parker replied and gave him a smile. "Oh yeah?" She finished untangling the lights as he spoke, knowing that they probably should do it before Christmas comes. She wasn't for sure if Mama Jones would be yelling at her or welcoming her and then yelling at her. "Yeah, um. Let me know when so I can always request time off and make sure someone's covering my shifts and it'd be nice to see snow and have Avery experience it together." She grabbed the step stool, placed it in front of a hooks she had already placed on the wall and stepped on it carefully with the lights in her hands.

Dom smiled. It was nice to be able to spend time with Parker these past few weeks without really fighting. The two of them had really grown up a lot in the past two or three years. The end of their relationship all it was was fighting and Dom hated it. And he missed them. Right there decorating with her and spending time together, felt like old times. And now with their beautiful daughter it was even better. Dom watched her carefully as he put the stockings on the fireplace. "You want me to help with that?" he asked as he sat Avery down on the floor.

Parker glanced back at Dom before she glanced back at the lights. "Yes please." She said with a little laugh as she stepped down on the step stool carefully and kept a good hold of the lights. "Don't want to try and hurt myself when I have someone who's taller than I am here to help me." She had to admit that it was nice being able to enjoy his company and not fight for once. Ever since Avery's birthday party, she's been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and at least a chance to change things around.

Dom laughed a little. "Yeah, we wouldn't want that" He took the lights from her and reached up with ease, putting the lights up. "You want them to go all the way down?" he asked as he got down to move the stool further down. "So what else are we putting up. What else do you have?" he asked. Dom finished up putting up the lights and he went towards the boxes that Parker had out of all the decorations.

Parker shook her head. "Along the walls, actually but yeah all the way down." She replied. She grabbed everything, including the mistletoe and quickly placed it back into box underneath paper towels. "The tree, which isn't all that big and some animations. I figured I'll get the scene up throughout the week." She glanced over at him and glanced back at the box. "Did you decorate your apartment yet?"

Dom nodded. "Okay cool" he smiled. "Ah a little bit. I put a tree up and stuff but I don't know if Ethan is super into it. Because you know it's his bachelor pad and not some family home. I dont know" he laughed. "I really should consider moving out but I dont know if I can afford it right now." He glanced at Avery and smiled. "But it would be nice to be closer to you huh honey bee?" Avery smiled. "You can stay here, and sleep in my bed" Dom laughed and he shook his head. "Daddy is took big for your bed baby. But thank you, you're so sweet." Dom got out the decorations for the tree and he admired the old ones they had bought together. "So you want to order chinese or something and we can start decorating the tree?" he asked Parker as he turned around to face her.

Parker "Its also your bachelor pad, Dom and you could always talk to him about it." Parker pointed out as she glanced over at him and pulled out the garland before she draped it around his neck, something she used to do. "Yeah, especially if Rocky and him haven't got back on solid ground, which Im worried about." She glanced over at Avery with a smile and pulled out the old pictures of them, without meaning too. "I would actually like to see you sleep in her bed because of how hilarious it would be and its one of those things that I will never live down." She teased and glanced back at him. "There's actually a house, just a few doors down from here that's on the market if you're interested." She placed the old frames on the end table next to her earrings. "Yeah, that sounds good to me. There's menus on top of the fridge in the kitchen."

Dom shook his head. "It's not the same. I don't want it to be a bachelor pad. I'm turning 26 soon. I'm not in college anymore. I'm a teacher and I go to bed at 9." he laughed. "I'm an old man." He looked back at her as the garland was wrapped around his neck. God all he wanted to do was kiss her right then but he knew that she didn't want that right yet. When she mentioned Ethan and Rocky, Dom sighed. "I still don't understand what happened with them." he said shaking his head. "it was like one minute they were happy and after we broke up, things kinda went down hill. I wish he could find someone and be happy you know. Settle down." Dom laughed at her comment and raised his eyebrows. "Really? Yeah I could look into it. It would be nice to be closer" he said softly. Dom went towards the kitchen to find the chinese menus and he pulled out his phone. He already knew what Parker wanted without her even saying. Their usual.

Parker raised an eyebrow as she looked at him. "I don't see no grey, so you're not an old man." She replied with a small smile and kept a hand on the garland. She swallowed hard as she dropped it as she looked away from him, maybe Jay's right. She couldnt handle being around him. She sat down before she pulled Avery onto her lap. "I do and they broke up because of us. Ethan fought with Rocky about, us and what happened and it was a disaster. When Ethan came to her restaurant, he started the whole blaming thing on me and when he found out about Avery, he thought you wasn't the father and thats why they fought at her birthday party. Again." She replied softly as she picked up Avery's doll and handed it to their daughter. "Yeah, well he was happy with Rocky and I think her having another guy in her life that's not him, is really making it harder on him to take those steps." She nodded with a smile. "yeah, it would be nice." Parker told him what to get Avery and picked up one of the old photos to show Avery. "this was your dad's and I's first Christmas together."

Dom frowned. "Wait what?" he asked pausing for a second. He listened to everything she was saying and watched Parker and Avery look at the photos, but he couldnt get his mind off of what she had said. "Ethan knew...about Avery?" he asked. "He knew before I did?" he asked feeling a little hurt. He knew it was hard for Parker to tell him and he had been really understanding about that, but his best friend keeping that a secret and pushing him to go out and party and hook up when he knew about Avery wasnt cool.

Parker furrowed her eyebrows as she glanced back up at Dom, feeling more guilty that she didn't tell him right away. "Honey, how about you go and play with your toys in your room while mom and dad talk." She told Avery as she placed the old photo back onto the pile and helped her off of her lap. She gotten up, quickly walked up to Dom and looked at him once Avery was out of the room. "I thought he would've told you that day, I honestly thought you would've known before that day in the park because we know how big Ethan's mouth is." She whispered, knowing that things went south quick. "Im sorry that he knew before you did. Rocky said it by accident because he was getting underneath her skin and it slipped out by accident. I was ready to get a text from you about her."

Dom shook his head. "He didn't say anything and when I told him about Avery after you did he acting like he had no idea" he frowned. "Like...I get that it wasnt his place to tell me and stuff but like he's been pushing me for years to get back out there and hook up with girls and just party and I never wanted to." He looked back at her. "It's like he didn't want me to have Avery in my life or something so he could have his best friend to party with still. I don't know it just pisses me off you know" he sighed and leaned against the counter. "All I've ever wanted was you and to have a family with you and now that I do I don't want to give that up. You know that right?" He asked as he looked at her.

Parker reached out and rubbed Dom's arm in comfort as she looked at him. "I know, it makes me want to go over there and punch him in the face." She replied as she stood in front of him and nodded, knowing that she was close to tears. "Yeah, but I don't want you to feel like you have to wait around until Im ready to let you back in because its not fair to you, its not fair to Avery who wants her dad here but can't because her mother is fucked up and is scared to get hurt all over again. To relive the past and go through that emotional baggage of past relationships along with having scars from the one before."

Dom laughed lightly and he shook his head. "Yeah don't do that" He looked down at her and he touched her cheek. "I'm sorry if I'm making it harder for you by being her so much." he said. "I'd wait as long as it takes Parks and I want to prove to you that I have changed. Because I know you. Better than anyone. I know what you've been through in high school with stupid relationships and toxic people and I don't want to be one of them." He said softly. "i wish things worked out differently but I cant change that. I can only try to make up for it."

Parker shrugged a bit. "I can take him, we both know I can." She whispered and shook her head. "Its not you, its more me than anything since I want to toss everything into caution and just, jump into a relationship with you." She placed her hand over his hand as she looked at him and chewed on her lower lip, fighting the tears. "You only know what I told you, you don't know all of it.." She admitted softly. She shook her head once more as she let out a breath. "I know."

Dom looked at her and he careesed her cheek gently. He wanted to badly to jump back into a relationship but he knew it wouldn't be good for them. They needed to go back to being friends first and remind themselves what that was like. They had been best friends since high school and somewhere along the way they had lost that. "What do you mean?" he asked frowning, not really understanding what she was talking about. He could tell that she wanted to cry and seeing her like that made him want to cry because he just wanted to hold her there in her arms and make everything alright again.

Parker swallowed the knot in her throat and want more than anything to stuff her face into his chest. She glanced down at their feet then back at him, wiped one of the tears that rolled down her cheek. "Jeremy was more toxic than you know. He, uh, played mind games with me and made me feel like I was the one who was crazy, that everything was my fault. He used to yell at me, like whenever I do something wrong or tell him that we were hanging out. It seemed like I wasn't allowed to hang out with anyone who wasn't him." She licked her lips some as she paused. "That's why I kept going back to him, because I was scared of him and I was scared that he was going to hurt you and everyone and just made me scared of him. He would grab my arm a little too tight, hence why I had bruises on my arms." She sniffed as she looked at his shirt, knowing if she wasn't able to finish if she would look at him. "Hence why I would sleep in your bed, because you wee always my safe haven and whenever I had a nightmare, I would've been able to wake up and see you holding me and I knew that everything was going to be okay." She looked at him. "that night, I knew my safe haven was gone. And all I want is my safe haven back, because thats my home. You're my home Dom and I want to go home, but I know I can't because we have to figure out how to be friends again." She blinked away the tears as she looked at him. "And figure out how to get that safe haven back."

Dom looked at her and he choked a little. He had no idea this was going on back then and now that he looked back it all made sense to him now. He was silence for a long time and without even speaking he pulled her into his arms. "i'm so sorry" he whispered. He never wanted her to feel like she wasn't safe with him. He never wanted to have her feel like that ever again. He hated that she had gone through all of that and never know. "i'm here now. im not going anywhere" he spoke. Dom didn't know what else to say but to just hold her in his arms for what felt like forever. Avery came out of her room and saw her parents. "mommy?" she asked. Dom pulled away when he heard the small little voice in the room.

Parker instantly stuffed her face into the crook of his neck as she wrapped her arms around him and cried softly, hoping that Avery wouldnt hear her. "Its not your fault." She whispered back as she closed her eyes. She nodded against him, tighten her hold on him and sniffed as he spoke. "Promise?" She lifted up her head when she saw Avery, gave her a small smile. "C'mere honey. Mommy's fine."

Dom Avery came running to her and jumped into Parker's arms. Dom looked down at the two of them. "I promise" he said softly. He smiled the two of them. This was his family How could he turn his back on that? The doorbell rang and Dom perked up. "I'll get it." he said. He paid the man at the door and came inside with their food. "Okay, are you too hungry because I got a lot" he laughed a little trying to lighten the mood once more. Dom looked at Parker and he nodded as if a silent reassurance for her.

Parker kissed Avery's head and looked at him with a nod. "Good, because I wanna keep you around." She teased him softly as she returned the smile. She nodded as she carried Avery into the living room, wiped her tears with her free hand and sniffed as she placed Avery onto the floor. "Okay baby, let's get ready for dinner." She sat next to her as well, after getting the sheet spread out and glanced over at Dom. "Im starving and if anything, we can take it for lunch." She leaned over, kissed his cheek and helped him with the food.

Dom nodded. "True" He agreed. He helped her set up the food and he sat down with them. "Maybe mommy will late us stay up tonight and watch a christmas movie?" he asked. "Please mommy?" he said his bottom lip out in a small pout. "yeah pwease mommy?" Avery asked looking up at Parker. He smiled and dished out some food for them, opening the paper boxes of food.

Parker pointed at Dom. "You better get that bottom lip out of here Mr. Jones or there might be some consequences." She said with a smile. She glanced over at Avery, nodded with a smile. "Yeah, we can and maybe." She leaned down to her ear, told her to ask her dad if he wanted to stay the night and gave her a smile before she pop a piece of chicken in her mouth. She chewed it as she grabbed her water bottle from the couch and took a swig of water to wash down the chicken. "Avery, do you have something to ask your dad?"

Dom watched the two of them and Avery giggle and scrunched her shoulders as Parker whispered in her hear. "mommy said she wants you to spend the night! You can sleep in my bed ok?" Dom raised his eyebrows at her as he took a bite of noodles, he finished it off before speaking. "Oh really. Is that what mommy said. That she wants me to sleep in your bed sweet girl?" he asked. Avery looked between her parents and she nodded. "yup!" Dom laughed. "You okay with that?" he asked. "I'll sleep on the couch, its not a big deal. If that's ok with you" he said taking a drink of water from a glass he had gotten earlier from the kitchen.

Parker stuffed her face into her hands out of embarrassment and knew her face would be beat red. "That's what not I said little girl." She said with a laugh before she started to tickle their daughter. She glanced over at Dom with smile and shook her face. "I said, ask your dad if he wanted to stay the night and I didn't say anything about sleeping in her bed because we both know your legs would be over the edge." She pointed out and chewed on her bottom lip. "Or you could sleep in my bed? I mean, we were sharing beds when we were friends, right? and the couch is uncomfortable." She took a bite out of her noodles.

Dom laughed. "Way over the edge" he nodded. He looked at her. "Are you sure?" he asked as he continued to eat and talk with her. "I dont want it to be awkward." he said. Dom really did need to think about moving closer. He just needed to be closer to Avery and Parker. Driving across town in LA traffic everyday after work wasn't easy and even Parker's place was closer to work too. "I have work early in the morning. School starts at 8 but I gotta be there by 7."

Parker "Practically on the floor." Parker pipped up once her mouth was clear and glanced over at him. "We're mature adults who can share a bed without it making it awkward. Besides, we both don't sleep naked and that's the only way it would be awkward." She glanced over at him, nodded as he spoke and rose an eyebrow. "You do realize that tomorrow is Saturday?"

Dom laughed. "oh my god...you're right. Wow I would have looked like a fool coming in on a saturday" he shook his head. "It's been a long week okay" He tickled Avery's side and smiled. "Alright let's get this tree up" he said taking one last bite. He figured he would come back to take a break and eat more. He stood up and started to unbox the tree. "So where do we want it ladies?" he asked. "Middle of the woom!" Avery shouted. Dom laughed. "Hmm, I don't know about that."

Parker shrugged with a smile. "Im sure there's Saturday detention." She teased and nodded as she ate a pot sticker. "It sure has." She wiped her mouth with a napkin. She watched him to get the tree out of the box and shook her head. "If mommy had a bigger living room, then yes but I was thinking that corner." She pointed towards the corner where the TV was at and cleaned up.

Dom "something I remember fondly in high school." he laughed. Dom looked around. "That's a good spot." He nodded. "Where are we putting the tv then?" he asked as he looked around the room with his hands on his hips. He tended to do that when he was thinking about something quickly. "We could put it over here and then slide the couch that way and then the tree would be in front of the window?" he suggested.

Parker laughed as she nodded. "I do too, I had to pick you up from there like twice." She said. She watched him and saw that he had his hands on his hips, as she leaned back. "Sure, that works." She gotten up, wiped her hands with a napkin and brushed her brown hair back. "Thankfully, I have those glider things that you can get from Home Depot on the couch" She patted him on the back. "Alright muscles, let's start moving things that way we can decorate and relax for the rest of the night."

Dom laughed as he thought about those times with Parker back in high school. "My long braids." he mused. "Man it feels like so long ago" He nodded. "oh cool" he smiled and started to moved to help her move things around. "Watch out sweetie I don't want you to get hurt. Can you just sit on the couch. We can scoot you on it" he smiled. Avery plopped on the couch and yelled "weeee!" when they moved it with her on it. Dom smiled to himself. Once things we set up he moved the tree to its spot and started to set it up so it looked straight and not lopsided.

Parker let out a sigh and smirked to herself with a comment, that wasn't rated pg or g so she kept her mouth shut as she patted him on the back again. "My cheerio uniform." She added and nodded. "it does, but wait until she's in high school." She picked Avery and placed her onto the couch. She grinned when she heard Avery and sat down next to her as Dom started to set it up.

Dom raised his eyebrow at her. "Oh yeah I remember that" he nodded. "Yeah nope I cannot think about her in high school. Just thinking about her in preschool in a couple years is already scary enough" he laughed. Dom kept standing back and looking at the tree from afar. He tilted his head and turned to the girls. "How does that look? We ready for the decorations?"

Parker "I can still fit in it too." Parker replied as she saw his eyebrows raised and let out a laugh. "You're going to cry when we drop her off, aren't you?" She raised an eyebrow. She gave him a thumbs up and picked up Avery from the couch. "It looks good and we are ready for the decorations."

Dom "Oh really?" he asked. Okay he really need to dial down with the flirty. Just imagining her back in her cheerio uniform was hard. "Probably" he nodded and laughed a little. "okay sweet" he smiled and moved to grab a box of the beef and broccoli and he took a couple bites. He watched Parker closely with Avery and it made him smile. This was his family and how it should always be.

I'm an older full-time college student and my husband works full-time at Walmart. In the past three years, I've been through 4 cancer related surgeries, which were paid for by the breast/cervical cancer Medicaid program. Unfortunately, follow up care and monitoring aren't covered and I was dropped from Medicaid. I'm now on my husband's health insurance, which is basically worthless because our income is under $20,000/yr and the policy has a $4500 deductible plus 20% after. I haven't seen my oncologist for over a year because we can't afford the expensive scans, biopsies, and lab work associated with cancer follow-up with a deductible that high. I thought my situation would change in 2014 with Obamacare. I recently learned from the healthcare.gov website calculator that our income is low enough to qualify for expanded Medicaid (which our state decided not to expand), but I don't qualify for the health insurance subsidies I desperately need because the outrageous deductible health insurance from my husband's job covers spouses. How can a couple with an income so low they would qualify for expanded Medicaid be ineligible for subsidies? I am completely devastated over this and I don't know what to do. Not being able to afford cancer follow up care is putting my life in danger. Even if my husband's employer (Walmart) quit covering the spouses of full-time employees, I think that would only apply to new hires because of the grandfather clause. If getting subsidies was based on income alone the way it should be instead of access to employer provided coverage, I would qualify for a zero deductible policy and $3 co-pays with a monthly premium of around $60. I could then afford the expensive health care I need. We live in a college town so if my husband got a different job, he'd make even less than he does now and we would probably end up homeless. If my husband transfers and we move to a state that's expanding Medicaid, I'll have to quit school and get rid of my German Shepherd and Siberian Husky since it's almost impossible to find a landlord that allows them. We thought another option might be to get a divorce on paper and co-habitate until our situation changes (completing my degree and getting a good job so I can afford the deductible), then re-marry.
