the thing about american cuisine is it’s either good but too complex for me to make as someone who is incredibly lazy and mediocre at cooking (i am thinking southern, creole, and everything with fish) or they’re just like way too meat heavy and i don’t even crave it anymore tbh it’s just chorizo & kielbasa out here, it’s gotta be wrapped in a casing or i don’t eat it.

#like sometimes genuinely i can’t grip correctly to cut. but sometimes i just don’t want to aksks #rani makes text posts no one will read #i’ll eat whatever my stepdad or great uncle put in front of me bc they’re amazing home cooks #but when it’s my choice? it’s sausage all the way down babeeee #but like southern fried chicken? delicious but i do not have the fucjing patience for it #barbecue is predominantly meat. every creole or cajun recipe i’ve ever seen takes forever.#but i Know how to make mexican and puerto rican with no meat half my family is already vegan lol
